Torghast is proving to be quite the source for a lot of fun in WoW, as players get various crazy anima power combinations, from the boss one-shots to infinite DH eyebeams, and one of my personal favorites, the low-gravity jump with which you can kite bosses around even as a melee (so your Impending Victory cooldown comes back and you can survive and hit the boss a few more times). We're checking out a few more of the Torghast week 1 fun and games!
We'll start off with one image that completely accurately and perfectly summarizes what Torghast makes us feel:
Warlocks get to have their own raid boss as a pet, with the Voidwalker not only having high amounts of HP, but also topping the DPS charts!
Here's one that I've actually experienced myself, and is awesome (but also made me appreciate the normal Fury rotation more):
The no cooldown powers are really fun, and there's plenty to be done with them, as this Vengeance DH resorts to more basic strategies:
Demon Hunters have long been made fun of for having a simple rotation with few abilities, and this... doesn't help the stereotype:
And some players have very different goals when it comes to Torghast and Shadowlands in general:
Then there's the one-shots. Here's one using the Catharstick power:
Then a few more Runecloth Wrappings kill, although this one might be from this week:
And finally, the weirdest one, as a player has somehow managed to reach floor 7? Unfortunately no details are provided, and it might be something as simple as a photoshop, but it doesn't seem like it:
We hope week 2 brings even more madness and fun our way!
SimulationCraft has just updated their site with prelimiary pre-raid DPS sims. Check them out to see how your class performs in a simulated Patchwerk raid encounter in Patch 9.0.2!
DISCLAIMER: Note that the simulations are a work in progress and not all profiles are created equal. For example, not every class is using a Legendary or proper Conduit rank. SimulationCraft is open source and you can contribute to make it better!
The pre-raid simulation includes Legendaries for most classes*, and it assumes that all players are at Item Level 184 during a Patchwerk-style (nuke boss) encounter.
*Not all sim profiles have Legendaries. All Warlock specs and Windwalker Monks to be precise.
A player has spent 5 million gold in life to purchase Mighty Caravan Brutosaur and become the most convenient NPC while AFK in the afterlife!
Only Engineers have access to an Auction House in Oribos, so Bearded_Bear96 decided to take things into their own hands and bought Mighty Caravan Brutosaur when the mount was still available in BfA. Whenever the player goes AFK, they park the mount that comes with an Auctioneer conveniently near the mailbox.
Many players are thankful for the service because they do not need to go to Orgrimmar/Stormwind to purchase and put items in the Auction House. In the end, this is not about just one individual! Kudos to every player that stands near a mailbox on their brutosaur mount in Oribos when they go AFK!
We compiled a list of daily/weekly goals for the second week of Shadowlands! You will be able to forge your first Legendary item this week!
The weekly reset has just hit NA realms, so we compiled a list of important things you should do after the reset in your region.
