Some of these traits look like they were designed with PvP in mind, like Feet of Wind for Marksmanship, and Wax and Wane for Balance.

Blood - 20% Leech
Feral - 600 Versatility
Fire - 600 Crit
WindWalker - 600 Mastery
Shadow - 600 Haste

These buffs extend to 4 other allies.  My question is, in a situation where you have multiples of the above specs in your raid group, do the buffs stack with each other?

Edit: Additionally, what determines which allies these buffs extend to?  Is it distance, random, or members of your group#?

I am a player of this game since beta 3 and the Hunter class from vanilla. Legion has seen the hunter class burned to the ground, specifically MM.  Seen it's charred  shards collected then dissolved in acid. I have to ask the question... when compared to other pure dps classes are the MM hunter new traits  in 7.20 some kind of sick joke? As a MM spec hunter with 52 ranks in my bow, I have end trait passives such as  a 3 min cd aspect of the cheetah that will grant me 50% dodge and immunity to snare? and snare/dot  added to my Windburst to look forward to, vs a 50%  cooldown reduction on Judgement  for ret  paladins for example.

Clearly those traits are taking the acid which dissolved your charred shards, putting it into a container, and then blasting it into space where it will languish over a decade as it travels to be disintegrated by the Sun.

On a positive note, Beast Mastery gets a trait called Cobra Commander which unleashes Sneaky Snakes onto its foes. How can anyone be unhappy with that?

I main a ret pally and can tell you now that 50% cd reduction isn't very useful because we would have less GCD's for templar's verdicts and holy power generators. ret's blade of justice trait is nice however so i suppose we got off pretty well

Two new islands and two new events that can spawn on all islands are coming to expeditions as Blizzard expand the BfA feature in 8.1. The new events can appear in place of invasions, and invasions themselves are also getting upgraded, with a possibility for two races invading at once, as well as NPCs getting more clustered for better replayability.

The two new events are Azerite Ruptures - where you'll have to place a device to collect the Azerite and defend it from Azerite themed creatures ending with a rare; and Azerite Extractors - a device on the map you can claim to get Azerite over time. With both events the opposing team gets notified when you trigger it, allowing them to come and take it from you.
      Island Preview (source)
Prepare to set sail for two new islands—Havenswood and Jorundall—coming to Island Expeditions in Tides of Vengeance.
Havenswood Jorundall Along with two new islands to explore, we’re also adding two new events that heroes might encounter on islands across the Great Sea.
Azerite Ruptures – Upon encountering an Azerite Rupture, you deploy a device to collect it, which will summon waves of Azerite-themed enemies several times before drawing out a rare or rare elite enemy. As these are Azerite-themed creatures, they’re a bit more lucrative than the usual island natives. You’ll also need to be ready to face more than just the creatures summoned by the device—each time this is activated, a map-wide announcement is made alerting the enemy team of the location.
Azerite Extractors – Once you’ve discovered an Azerite Extractor location, you can deploy an extractor which will grant your team Azerite over time. However, this extractor can be overtaken easily by the enemy team; it also draws the attention of nearby NPCs. Once an extractor is deployed by a faction, all players will learn about the extractor's location immediately, so watch out for unexpected guests!
      Island Gameplay Evolution
Since the launch of Battle for Azeroth, we’ve continued to iterate on Island Expeditions. In Tides of Vengeance, we’ve tried to shake things up with the addition of Azerite Ruptures and Extractors, add a bit more variety to what you can expect on any given island. You may encounter one of these in place of an invasion, and even invasions will have more variety—for example, you may face Southsea Pirates and Earth Elementals on an upcoming island visit.
We’ve also worked to cluster NPC enemies that inhabit the islands closer together, giving you a bit more space between points of interest (map space permitting), so spawns should feel a bit more organic to the island you’re on.
With these changes, we’re looking to increase replayability and create more unique encounters each time you return. This doesn’t mean you won’t ever see an Azerite Invasion again, but it should no longer be something you encounter every Island Expedition. Perhaps you’ll run into an island that spawns so many giants it becomes a giant-killing-fest. . . .
      About Island Expeditions
If you’ve never taken part in an Island Expedition, there’s no better time to sail into the action.
Why We Fight: Azerite is seeping up from the wound that Sargeras’ blade dealt to Azeroth, and an incredible new resource is waiting to be claimed by the Horde, the Alliance, and anyone else seeking power. When you set out on an Island Expedition, you’ll compete for this resource to empower your Heart of Azeroth and to aid your faction in the race to control as much of the world’s Azerite as possible.
Your Mission: You’ll queue for Normal, Heroic, Mythic, or PvP difficulties either alone or with a group by using an Expedition table in Zuldazar Harbor (Horde) or Boralus Harbor (Alliance). Island Expeditions are three-player encounters, and while you can play as any mix of roles, you’ll want to make sure you’re coordinating with the rest of your group to overcome the opposing faction and acquire 6,000 Azerite before they do.
Upon landing on the Island, you’ll disembark from your ship and make your way onto land in search of as much Azerite as you can get your hands on. There are many ways to acquire it, whether it’s by killing monsters, finding treasure chests, defeating the opposing faction’s team, or mining the nodes that will appear around the island.
The Landscape: There’s plenty to explore on this uncharted land, and each island features lots of dynamically generated elements that provide a variety of challenges to overcome.
It’s more than just the Horde and the Alliance interested in the Azerite—you’ll also confront a wide range of different enemies seeking to claim it for their own. As you explore the island, you’ll engage in smaller encounters such as a village of quilboar, water elementals guarding treasure chests full of Azerite, or rare and elite monsters. You’ll also encounter random events from time to time as you explore the island.
To overcome some of these encounters, you’ll need to keep an eye out for beneficial shrines, food, or objects that can aid you. With a bit of tactics and coordination, you’re bound to find some great opportunities to add more Azerite to your count and claim victory.
With extensive combinations of enemies, power-ups, spawn locations, and more, you’ll never know what you’ll come across in your next Island Expedition.
Your Opponents: You won’t be alone on the island, as much as you might hope to be. There are others who want to get their hands on the Azerite, and queuing for Normal, Heroic, or Mythic difficulty will pit you against a rival team of three Horde or Alliance “Advanced NPCs.” These clever rivals will move around and take advantage of the island just like other players would, and each group of opponents has different tactical personalities, from the more aggressive to the more defensive, and will all seeking to claim 6,000 Azerite before you can and take home victory. You never know which team of opponents you’ll face, so be prepared to use all your character’s abilities to overcome them.
For those who choose PvP difficulty, you’ll be pitted against players of the opposing faction to see which team will triumph.
New adventures await in Tides of Vengeance which makes landfall, December 11, 2018.

While the Darkshore questline is still buggy on 8.1 PTR, we managed to complete it twice and have uploaded a video to YouTube with the Horde PoV. Completing the quests in Tides of Vengeance unlocks the all-new Darkshore Warfront.
Alliance players can complete Tyrande's Ascension in Patch 8.1 and unlock new Night Warrior customization options. The following preview covers the Horde perspective and what exactly happens after their arrival at Darkshore.
Check out our Tides of Vengeance hub for the latest Patch 8.1 news!
THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS MAJOR 8.1 LORE SPOILERS!
      Highlights
The questline begins with "Trouble in Darkshore" that can be accepted from Dark Ranger Velonara at the Warfront table (Port of Zandalar). Apparently, the moon has turned completely black and you are sent to investigate what has transpired in the area. Speak to Dread-Admiral Tatersail to travel to Darkshore.
Horde players arrive at Lor'danel Landing and come across Nathanos and two Val'kyr. Nathanos tells you to thoroughly investigate the source of the unnatural night.
There are three short introductory quests.
Quit Vining!: Objective of this quest is to free 6 Goblin Harvesters. Dark Ranger Round-Up: For this quest, you must kill Night Elf rangers and summon Brynja to turn 6 of them them into Forsaken. The quest rewards Dark Ranger's Spare Cowl. It's interesting to see that a vast majority of Night Elves spawn an Angry Wisp upon death, as they refuse to be raised. If a Night Elf can be raised, you'll notice a shadowy aura emanating from their corpse. Black Moon Rising: The third and final quest is about interrogating 3 lieutenants: Lieutenant Golras Lieutenant Ivyth Lieutenant Mallyra A Lost Wisp will spawn to turn in the quest and you can now accept "We're Not Out of the Woods Yet". Bring the wisp to Nathanos and turn in all quests.
      The Night Warrior
Nathanos wants you to speak with the Lost Wisp to find out why the moon turned dark. There's a not yet implemented cutscene that will likely show Tyrande's transformation.
      Where Hope Dies
Sylvanas wants the body of Delaryn Summermoon.
You must Signal Nathanos when you find her corpse. Suddently, Sira Moonwarden appears and you must defeat her before proceeding.
Bringing her down to 1% makes Nathanos and the two Val'kyr enter the scene. If you click on Delaryn's corpse, you will see how she died (Warbringers: Sylvanas begins to play).
      Player Choice
Now you can either talk to Sira Moonwarden and choose to kill her yourself, or speak with Nathanos and let him do the dirty work. It's interesting to see another element of player choice added to the game right after the alternative ending added to Saurfang's questline.
Sira is disappointed that Tyrande did not come in time to aid her. She says "Where... is she...?" when you deliver her the killing blow.
      The Dead of Night
Now comes the interesting part and you'll confront Tyrande, as Nathanos and the Val'kyr begin the ritual to raise both Sira Moonwarden and Delaryn Summermoon as Forsaken.
Tyrande uses some neat astral magic as you fight her in this stage, before she gets stunned by Nathanos. It's a nice demonstration of her newly-acquired "Night Warrior" powers.
Then, she will restrict your vision with Veil of Darkness and Malfurion will root you. Now you must Break Free and fight both of them.
Signe manages to complete the ritual and raises both elves. Delaryn and Sira claim to have nothing left and blame Tyrande/Elune for her idleness.
Brynja joined the fight but is defeated by Tyrande.
      Aftermath
Sylvanas has been dealt a heavy blow with the loss of Brynja. The final quest from Sira rewards a toy that will turn your Spirit Healer into Brynja for 1 day (Brynja's Beacon) after you talk to Nathanos. There's another not yet implemented cutscene playing.
      Warfront Preparations
Take the portal back to Zuldazar and talk to Throk to unlock Warfront: The Battle for Darkshore.
      Gameplay Video
Here's a short gameplay video of the Horde questline in Darkshore with the most interesting elements of the story.
Check out our preview of the Darkshore introduction questline from the Horde perspective!

After a tweet earlier today about the Coldlight Surfrunner pet not being able to drop from Island Expeditions due to the type of Murloc it drops from not being present in them yet, we're now finding out that there will be a hotfix coming that will make it able to drop from any Murloc.
For more info on the pet, click here.

They've also clarified that PvP Season 1 will not be ending with the launch of Tides of Vengeance three weeks from now, but will in fact end in January 2019 (presumably close to when the raid and the new Mythic+ Season starts).
      PvP Season 1 End (source)
      Hello.
As we’re now three weeks from beginning the Tides of Vengeance content update, we wanted to make it known that the current PvP Season will not be ending at that time.
We expect to end the current season in January 2019, and we will provide an exact date for that in a few weeks.
      Thank you!

Blizzard recently announced improvements to Azerite Armor acquisition from Mythic+. You can find more details here. Heritage Armor will be added for non-Allied Races; Blood Elves & Dwarves are first on the list. There's no reputation grind behind this. If you're at max level and Exalted with Ironforge/Blood Elves, you can start the quest and complete a scenario to get your Heritage Armor. Reputation Paragon for BfA factions is coming. Champions of Azeroth reputation will be made account-wide. Incursions are a new feature similar to Legion assaults. Darkshore Warfront (Night Elves vs Forsaken theme) The outdoor zone will be updated just like Arathi Highlands with new quests, rares, etc. War Campaign continues with the Alliance leading a direct strike at the Zandalari Fleet. We can expect two new raids in 8.1: Siege of Zuldazar is a nine-boss raid where the foe is the opposing faction. Alliance players will join Jaina and her forces to fight their way up to the pyramid to confront Rastakhan. Horde players will try to defend the pyramid, fighting Jaina in the High Seas as the final boss. Crucible of Storms is a two-boss raid located under Shrine of the Storm that hints at Queen Azshara. It's Battle for Azeroth's "Trial of Valor" raid. Allied Races: Kul Tirans and Zandalari Trolls will become available for gameplay after the Siege of Zuldazar raid. You can find more details about how to unlock them here. Two New Islands: Jorundall (Vrykul-themed Island) & Havenswood (Gilnean-themed Island) Gnomeregan Pet Battle Dungeon Profession Changes New Scenarios Tyrande's Ascension - players will unlok new Night Elf Warrior customization options with dark eyes.
