Heroes Brawl: June 2 - Hammer Time

This week's brawl takes us back the Towers of Doom for some Hammer time!

10 Sgt. Hammers playing against each other with "Z" having no cooldown! There are no talent restrictions and all players start at Level 10. Completing three matches rewards a Loot Chest. If you never played Hammer, don't forget to visit our Sgt. Hammer Build Guide.

This week’s brawl is Hammer Time! An explosive twist on a typical match, Hammer Time lets you call down the thunder and claim Belltowers on Towers of Doom with 10 Sgt. Hammers.

Rules

  • Queue up and battle it out on Towers of Doom with either Sgt. Doomhammer or World War Sgt. Hammer.
    • Core health for both teams halved to 20
  • Modified Standard play
    • No talent restrictions, but all players start at level 10
      • Extended beginning game time by 15 seconds to allow for more time to choose talents
    • Thrusters are always active for all players!
    • Unsieging from Siege Mode is now instant for all players!
  • The first team to claim enough Belltowers to destroy the enemy Core is victorious!

Also love the crazy brawls, but HATE HATE HATE this particular one. It's such a pure snowball with zero comeback mechanic. Glad it's only two.

Yeah, group as 5, and take forts ASAP.  The minute you fall behind the map is over.  Attack, attack, attack!  This is by far my most hated brawl.

Even though I didn't expect it at all, there was almost no sieging in the games I played, and we kept teamfighting until Bell towers showed up, after which the teamfights have moved to the Belltower locations. Even the losses were fun, with so much teamfighting and crazy action going on at all times.

This map can be really fun. Well, unless you're losing. LMAO.

The problem is that it's so easy to snowball... One mistake costs the whole game. I like it, though. More than Mage Wars, at least.

I feel like too many people don't know how fast Hammer can die if they just sit there - there are so many people that die early and then the pushing begins :(

      New Battleground: Alterac Pass
      Alterac Pass is the first Warcraft battleground to be added to the Nexus and you can find more details in our preview.

      Volskaya Foundry has been temporarily disabled from Ranked play modes due to a bug. This is the third Heroes of the Storm battleground to become unavailable after Haunted Mines and Hanamura.
      The battleground will return in an upcoming patch, according to Community Manager Ravinix.

      Due to a recently discovered bug, we are temporarily disabling the Volskaya Foundry Battleground from Ranked play modes until the issue can be fixed in an upcoming patch. This is currently in effect in all regions.
