Patchnotes 7.3: What my Hunter personalities think about it

Hunter:

The Porcupine family has been re-named to Rodent.

MM: "Haha, thank god they changed nothing. Just be quiet, just be quiet!"

Survival: "We need a buff. I will team up with my other survival homies and... damn it, is there no one else playing survival?"

BM: "What the f*ck is goin' on?"

What do you think about the patchnotes?

Will there be a compensation with the new artifact system?

What did the Porcupines do wrong?

Greetings

PS: Found an interesting blue post Netherlight Crucible

As i stated before, since the game play of wow moved away from 1 button spam BM has always had issues with scaling. From WOTLK, the first tier BM was strong or "alright" but by the end of the expansion it had fallen far behind. This has always been the case. It is because of scaling, especially weapon damage.  Blizzard should add weapon damage to the pet damage formula, nothing else will fix the issue.

In the end, from what i can see, the gap between MM and BM is going to get larger in ToS after this patch unfolds.   After a year of this, i doubt there is anything in Argus' Raid that is going to change this.

Not only did they change nothing at all, they also had a 4% buff to BM in the PTR that got cut because it's only going to be added once the Crucible opens (in two more weeks). The reasoning being that the weapon item level scaling of BM is trash so it needs a buff to offset how useless the +15 item level effect on the Crucible will be for BM. However, this means they have no intention of buffing BM, only hotfixing it so it stays where it is. There was a similar issue with one of the Rogue specs as far as I know.

There should be some significant class changes when patch 7.3.5 drops, but that's 11 weeks away. Marksmanship should see some changes, because the tier 21 bonus makes no sense for the current build. I'd be surprised if they do anything to improve BM or Surv for the what's left of the expansion.

I was under the impression BM was receiving a 6% aura buff, do you have a link to show where they're not getting any changes or that things are being moved around?

First off, the 6% aura buff already exists, it was added in 7.1.5. The "new" buff was raising that same aura to 10%, which is really a 3.77% overall damage increase, not a 4% buff, but round up for simplification. It was 10% during the PTR because the crucible was active in the PTR.

Click the link Lemmi posted about the Netherlight Crucible, it's a blue post explaining that the above described buff is only intended to go live once the crucible is up, because the crucible gives you +15 weapon levels and BM output doesn't scale well with weapon item level. It's not a real comparative buff, it's only a hotfix to keep the crucible buff in line with other classes.

Ey i want to create a new hunter character, and my doubt its, orc or maghar? I know this is not very importante because if u dont do high end is not terrible noticeable. In one hand we have the orc passive ( 5% more pet damage + ap) and in the other hand we have ( more health and ap ) .
I think orc its better ¿ what do u think ?
