Argus Waystone and Veiled Argunite Hotfix

Update: There's a new blue post detailing the decision even more and giving an estimated time the hotfix will go live to September 12th.

We have a hotfix in the works to the way Argus Waystones work for the weekly quest, Invasion Onslaught. This will likely be live with your weekly resets next week (if all goes well).

Early in 7.3 PTR, Argus Waystones were a requirement to enter Greater Invasion Points. We removed that requirement after hearing great feedback on it in PTR testing, but retained the waystones for Invasion Onslaught. Now we’ve seen that after Invasion Points opened up, players have a lot of these stones left over with nothing to spend them on.

Therefore, the weekly quest Invasion Onslaught will be changed from 'collect 15 Argus Waystones' to 'complete 3 Invasion Points'. Argus Waystones will no longer be obtainable in the game, and any Argus Waystones on your character will be automatically converted into Veiled Argunite.

We hope this simplifies the quest and also stops our over-achieving ethereal currency collector from spamming your mailbox each day.

Again, we're working to hotfix this with weekly resets in each region starting on September 12.

Thank you for the feedback!

There's a new hotfix coming up soon related to the dissatisfaction a lot of players have voiced over the Argus Waystones - more specifically their cap. It seems Blizzard decided just upping it wasn't really the best solution and decided to scrap the currency altogether. They also went ahead and raised the cap for Veiled Argunite to 2000 from 1500!

You can check out our Invasion Point guide if you're not sure what exactly all this means or haven't gotten around to doing them yet.

Hey all,

I wanted to give you a heads up that we are currently testing a hotfix aimed at addressing some player concerns with Argus Waystones and Invasion Points.

First, will be removing the Argus Waystone currency entirely. Players who currently have Argus Waystones will be compensated with a small amount of Veiled Argunite.

The weekly quests that previously required Argus Waystones will now require players to simply complete three Invasion Points.

We will also be increasing the cap on Veiled Argunite to 2,000 from 1,500, to make sure there are no issues with any of these changes - this will also act as a small quality of life increase for those of you seeing yourselves at the currency cap.

Thanks for all your feedback so far on Invasion Points, and we'll see you on Argus!

I honestly was hoping that they would add another vendor for the waystones, but none the less I love that they're compensating us for the currency is nice and all, but "" Players who currently have Argus Waystones will be compensated with a small amount of Veiled Argunite"  Small amount is a little disheartening, considering most of us farmed the waystones . so hopefully the turn around is good!

at least it's nice to know that I don't have to track five types of currency afterall.

I think waystones was total unnecessary idea at all as one more currency, so i'm happy to hear this will be removed. And about exchange.. ("..Small amount is a little disheartening, considering most of us farmed the waystones . so hopefully the turn around is good!...") it was just by-product of farming Veiled Argunite at Invasion Points.

Will everyone be capped out at compensation for 40 stones, I wonder? Or will all those ones that we farmed in our mailbox and then deleted get compensated for to?

DITTO.

Would have made more sense as just a quest item to complete weekly, imo.  But then just do 'quantity of invasions completed' like they are doing now and solve another item to track.

This is a good change.

Definitely. There was never a reason for them not to do this from the start, but at least we've got it now.

If you plan on buying the physical War Within Collector's Edition and live in Europe, you're going to have a bad time!
Blizzard has ceased distributing WoW Collector's Editions through retailers with the release of Dragonflight, making the Blizzard Store the only place to buy them. However, the shipping costs could be a dealbreaker for many collectors eager to acquire the latest edition for the upcoming expansion.
Reddit user katamai from Serbia posted a screenshot of their order, revealing that the shipping fees exceed the cost of the box itself—280 Euros for shipping compared to 200 Euros for the box, totaling 480 Euros.

Additionally, Emi, a follower on our Facebook page, reported a shipping cost of 99 Euros to Romania, nearly ten times what it costs to ship to the UK.

A practical workaround might be to order the Collector's Edition to a UK address and then use a shipping service to forward it to your address in Europe, potentially saving a considerable amount of money.
How much does it cost to ship the box to your country?

We've already talked about and taken a first look at the Delve-specific mount coming in the War Within, but now it's time to check out all of its customization options!
LeystTV has delved into the mount and shown off all the options, from the different colors to nose, wing, thruster, and top customizations, with glider, blimp, helicopter looks and more! There's even different versions of Horde and Alliance decals to choose from!

And these may not even be all the options present at launch, not to mention new ones Blizzard might add with later patches, making this one of the cooler mounts in the game.
