Starting this week, players gain access to Invasion Points and Greater Invasion Points. Learn more about how to unlock both and what rewards you can get.

Players will be granted access to Invasion Points after they finish the second chapter of the Argus story in Mac'Aree. Illidan offers a new quest called "Where They Least Expect It", where you need to enter an Invasion Point and kill its Legion Commander. After that, you will be asked to recover 15 Argus Waystones to unlock Greater Invasion PointsGreater Invasion Points

Invasion Points

Invasion Points are repeatable scenarios addded in Patch 7.3. Each Invasion Point will be up for 6 hours. You don't need a party to enter it. You will be joined by other players and get credit just by zoning in. Finishing an Invasion Point grants an Artifact Power Token, Argus Waystones and Veiled Argunite.

Find out more information about all Invasion Points in our Invasion Points Guide.

Greater Invasion Points

Once a week, you can enter a Greater Invasion Point and defeat an Argus world boss within. These bosses drop item level 930 loot. Don't forget to bring a Seal of Broken Fate for the bonus roll. This week, Mistress Alluradel is up.

Everything about Greater Invasion Points, including loot tables and bosses can be found in our Greater Invasion Points Guide.

I just want to know if we need a party to do a Greater Invasion Point, I was a little confused when I did the normal one, I joined a party but then saw other people there...

You don't need to be in a party to enter the GIP; once inside you can help other players defeat the zone.  There should always be players in the zone that can assist you.

Seems to be confusion about it in almost every point atm. Just go in, kill stuff, no need for party. You can even enter a Greater one as the boss is dying, tag it and get loot.

You don't even need to tag the boss to get credit for the kill (I hope the AFKers aren't paying attention to this).

Hold on. i got into the greater rift today and after i killed the boss, I didn't get the chance for a bonus roll. Was that intended?

That's insane. I really hope they fix that, tbh, otherwise you will just see countless people AFK farming them on alts. Would be super lame, especially in late night groups.

You should have, I bonus rolled on mine and grabbed another piece of loot. Not sure why you couldn't - you're sure it was the greater one, I presume? :p

Hey, I did the greater invasion today. No lvl 930 gear came my way. Was I robbed? Also, twice when I entered a regular invasion there was  no one in it but me. When I did the looking for group thing though then I got people. But doing the looking for group on the greater invasion also limited it to 5 people. We died a lot. A lot a lot. We did manage in the end though.

They are up for 6 hours you said ,what happens if u can't play during that time?  Am i going to be able and do the invasions after 12 hours? 24 hours? In broken shore we had Invasions every 12 hours, what about argus?

After 6 hours, another Invasion Point will spawn somewhere else, replacing the old one.  I think a maximum of 3 Invasion Points will be active at once. The portals do not seem to be zone-specific. I had 2 up in Mac'Aree on PTR.

There's also no maximum of lessers that you can do AFAIK - this means that you could, in theory, catch 6 in a 6 hour period due to how the spawn timers work.

Transmog collectors and the community are not particularly happy with personal loot rules used in leveling dungeons since Patch 7.3.5 launch. Blizzard will be reverting the change back in Battle for Azeroth by activating something called "legacy loot mode".
How Will Legacy Loot Mode Work?
The loot mode will activate automatically upon entering a dungeon or raid that's trivial for you (your character is 10+ levels higher than the dungeon or raid's intended level). The number of items dropped by bosses will be the same as it would have been if you were in a full party or raid. All items on the loot table will have a chance to drop, regardless of your set Loot Specialization. Loot will be tradable and split among members of your party or raid. You can learn more about transmog in our section!
      Blizzard (Source)
Since the Patch 7.3.5 change to use personal loot rules in leveling dungeons, we’ve heard a lot of feedback from Transmog hunters concerned about how this has affected the ability to collect appearances from older content. We hear you, and agree it’s a problem, so we’ve been working on a more robust solution for Battle for Azeroth. Once these updates are implemented, entering a dungeon or raid that is trivial for you (i.e.: your character is 10 or more levels higher than the dungeon or raid’s intended level) will activate a “legacy loot mode.” That loot mode will work like this:
The number of items dropped by bosses will be the same as it would have been if you were in a full party. So if you’re in a 5-player dungeon, you’ll get 5 players’ worth of loot. For raids with a flexible raid size (such as Raid Finder), this will act as though there were 20 players in the raid. All items on the loot table will have a chance to drop, not just the ones that are designated for your spec. If you have multiple players in the group, the loot will be split among those players, but be tradeable. For example, if you’re clearing with one other player and kill a boss that should drop 4 items, you’ll each be able to pick up two items and trade them between each other if you like. While the personal loot change was a key part of what allowed us to expand leveling dungeons to encompass a wider range of levels, and we’re happy with it in that environment, we recognize that it’s not a great experience for those who enjoy clearing older content for transmog, and hope that these changes will make that more enjoyable once they’re complete.
Thanks again for all of the feedback!
