[HELP] How are warriors? Is it for me?

Recommended Posts

I'm sure this is a popular topic so I apologize if this is the 1 millionth time you've seen this.

I haven't played a level capped character since probably Wrath of the Lich King.  Friends are sucking me back in and I'm thinking about picking up Warrior.  I used to love tanking as a warrior but unfortunately (or fortunately) it looks like all the tank slots are filled.  Basically my question is, is rolling Warrior a wise choice?  Are they fun to play?  Pretty sure id pick Fury as my DPS spec but I don't know how it or arms plays now. I want to be competitive on the meters against my guildmates but I don't think we're going to be super hardcore.

I suppose this is "living the dream" but i want to be near the top of the DPS charts while having fun doing it. Is the warrior for me? Other classes I was looking at were Shadow Priest, Hunter, or Death Knight.

I guess I should also mention that I haven't played in a LONG time so ill probably be doing things like world pvp, BGs, 5-mans, ect.  I'm not an Arena type of person.

Morning, AstroDad

Here are some considerations in reference to your questions:

- Arms and Fury are both doing well right now. It's more of the playstyle that you prefer.
- Both specs require specific pieces to really shine regardless if it's AoE or single target. Without the right gear, you'll struggle.
- Both DPS specs are "back end" performers. The Execute phase is where a warrior will contribute the most and see the most damage gain. Arms Execute phase is very simple while the Fury Execute phase can vary depending on encounter and Juggernaut stacks.
- Your DPS, especially in Execute phase, can fluctuate dramatically depending on the time of your CDs and the buff from your the pantheon trinket.

Personally speaking, I really enjoy the Fury rotation. The animations, the rotation itself, and the feeling of beating things to a pulp is just enjoyable and fits really well into the "warrior" stereotype. Arms is less enjoyable but has a far easier Execute phase with guaranteed damage. Due to this, and when played right, it's a solid competitor.

As far as being the top of the DPS meters, it will come down to a lot of variables. Sometimes you will be and sometimes other classes will top you (especially if you're in a group of other individuals who are very skilled at their class and spec).

I hope this helps and don't hesitate to ask any other questions you may have.

As the title already said I'm needing help understanding how to make the build like the guide says, i somehow need to get the full set bonus of bones of Rathma but i also need the full Captain Crimson's trimmings bonus for cd reduction i can get that with ring of royale grandeur but i also need to use fate's vow helm but if i use it i cant get the full Bones of Rathma set bonus or Captain Crimson's trimmings bonus.
If anyone know how i can get that build to work please say how, I'm open to any suggestions.

I am going the corpselance support build for Necromancer and the build has me taking Corpselance with Brittle and the pestilence set on top of that, if I were to take off the ability Corpselance and change it to another ability say for example Bone Spikes with Frost spikes, would the damage decrease an amount that it would not be worth it?

Hey everybody! So the other day, I decided to make a 5-minute guide on how to play the Warrior class in WoW. It's not super in-depth, but I just wanted some good feedback from the Warrior community on this. Lemme know what you guys think! I also hope that this is able to help somebody out there.   ?

So i heard about primal ancients, and i m kinda desperate to get it. Why? It can make my Demon Hunter even powerful then he is now (I deal about 35m damage) So how do you get them? I know how though. Get in a GR 70 and do it Solo, but how do you do it actually? How much do you need to farm this for? A week? A month? A YEAR? The point is, i want primal ancients, and have NO IDEA how to farm them :// so... i need a bit of help for farming :))

I'm new to using icy-veins, and I cannot seem to get used to navigating the WoW class guides. Why is stat info the 13th section of the guides, but max level content 6th through 12th? Where do I find comparisons between specs?
