Hey guys, Swofty here. I found out about this thread 3 hours ago and I would like to propose a new distance measurement for WoW. Now, before you continue reading my post, I must warn you that this post is not for the faint-hearted. But please give it a read anyway because I've spent a lot of time on this.

It's called.... Vomitre!

Yes, Vomitre. Shortened : Vom.

You must be thinking by now.. hmm, isn't that a French word? Thalassian maybe? Isn't that like similar to Ish'nu alah? the answer is: No, it's not! It's an actual distance measurement as shown by this picture :

 0.thumb.jpg.618c351adc91c2712909e02ed7c3246c.jpg

How do you use it you asked? well then let me guide you through this. Don't worry it's not that complicated, even Topper McNabb should be able to do this. By the way We need extremely strong alcohol. So don't expect to do this with glasses of milk you bought from Stormwind vendor. I repeat, We need EXTREMELY STRONG alcohol, weaker alcohol will do but it'll take more time for you to vomit. Basically We want to get smashed to the point where our screens are as blurry as the concept of Survival hunter in World of Warcraft.

Now, I know that some of you are already triggered by the word 'vomit' but let me assure you, the measurement actually works  (and fun) as long as these three conditions are fulfilled :

1. Your character must always face the correct way (and I don't mean that error message you get when you're keyboard turning). Importance : Quite important, difficulty : easy.
2. You must always make your character stop right at the furthest point of your vomit, be precise, memorize the pattern of the ground and use your instinct. Importance : important, difficulty : hard.
3. You must have a keyboard and a mouse, otherwise you wouldn't be able to move your character. Importance : VERY IMPORTANT, difficulty : easy.

Now for the actual steps :

1. Fill up your bag(s) with alcohol, I have a bag full of Distilled Nightwine. It costs 25 golds for 5, you can buy them from Suramar food&drink vendor. The Nightfallen knows what's good when it comes to this so don't worry!

1.thumb.jpg.d5e5fdd9f32fb369559b3d54fefbe164.jpg

2. Adjust your character to face the correct way. I can't define which is the correct way so choose yours carefully because our lives are meant to be different and We each walk our path. But surely you wouldn't want your character to wander mindlessly into the forest and get eaten by bears.

1.5.thumb.jpg.10a39211cbccb9ff5c0f6fa990aefe5e.jpg

3. Open your bag and drag your favorite alcohol into the ability bar. Make sure to use the first button (bind the item to '1' key) because it worked for me (I haven't tested the other buttons yet).

2.thumb.jpg.adc4099db837b2422e548a294ee9c1aa.jpg

4. Press '1' and drink the alcohol multiple times till you see your character vomiting. It takes 2- 3 times if you drink Distilled Nightwine.

3.thumb.jpg.628bce6b79fc0ff75f8e3f4f2908aada.jpg

5. Now watch the vomit closely!!! pay attention where your vomit 'ends' and walk there.

4.thumb.jpg.0011b3614ff7404959d5f967d5858059.jpg

5.thumb.jpg.702b7523494a4e7d80b8bf25f93406b3.jpg

6. If your screen turns blurry don't panic! that means you're doing everything right. If by some miracle (which happens a lot actually) your character moves funny and screws up your direction (Spaghetti walk), just adjust it. Remember, this measurement also COMES FROM THE HEART. Use your instinct, remember the pattern where the vomit 'ended' and just casually run there as if nothing wrong happened. You need to believe in yourself.

6.thumb.jpg.74936695b8c6f75e04abecefbd2760c0.jpg

7.thumb.jpg.6c00fa7faedb129e8468ef3f29f6d4dd.jpg

7. Repeat 1-6, don't forget to count how many times you have vomited. One vomit = one Vomitre.

Testing result
I have measured the distance from human's starting area to Goldshire inn in Vom and the result is 114 Vomitres! That mean's it's about 0.114 Kvom! WOW this unit works in decimal too!

How my screen looked like in the end :

8.thumb.jpg.5d572ff363a5b7f5228a721d503bb7e6.jpg

Fun fact : Do you know if the number 114 also represents an error code in Blizzard games? it means that you can't connect to battle.net and to be honest, after that 'Vom-walk' my brain and eyes were no longer connected to my body, never mind battle.net

Potential question :
Q: If this method comes from the heart then why don't you just vomit once and count how many steps your character has to make and repeat the same amount of steps? then you can calculate it (X steps = 1 Vom).
A: Okay then Mr. Smart Ask Alot. You might think that you are correct but that's not the point! the point is that you get smashed, your screen is blurry, your knees are heavy, your palms are sweaty and... hic! you move like spaghetti! ...hic!!

As always Swofty here, thanks for reading!

Congrats to the winners from the comments! Here they are:

As you'd expect Swofty got one for his in-depth Vom theories, then we have Labi132 with Kil'jaeden and finally, wootius with his "Lockyard" featuring Wilfriend Fizzlebang.

The 25 chosen from the poll have also been contacted.

New unit should be time measured average period newbie gets 110 lvl. They can assume how long would take to be 110 lvl and Blizz can decide their recruit methods.

Ugh. I'd be so bad at this. My only max level toon was boosted to 110 then leveled to 120 in like two weeks.

Tama's Dragonflight Helper is a Weakaura that displays a weekly to-do list in the game and it's been updated for Dragonflight Season 4!
The WeakAura is very useful for keeping track of everything in the game at max level. It shows you a to-do list with the weekly tasks, provides you with the locations of rares, super rares, information about your current Renown standing, and more.

You will find Tama's Dragonflight Helper at wago.io. Please note that you must first download and install WeakAuras 2 to import the string.

Cataclysm's Grim Batol has been added to the Mythic+ Dungeon rotation in The War Within Season 1, and one boss received a brand new model recently on the Alpha.
General Umbriss, the first boss of the dungeon, got a shiny new model, which is quite different from his previous one. Below is a screenshot of the old a new model.

Blizzard have clarified why players are able to get a full Spark of Awakening through the two available Splinters in the first week of Dragonflight Season 4, and it seems it's only for this week and only due to catch-up rules being enabled!
      Splintered Spark (Source)
Just want to confirm this with some details.
Everyone essentially started Season 4 in catch-up mode. Players were able to get 1 Splintered Spark of Awakening from the weekly quest, whether that’s the weekly “Last Hurrah” quest or the PvP weeklies offered by Malicia.
And then you’re able to get another splinter / half-spark from any valid catch-up sources, such as Mythic+, Awakened Raids, and PvP wins.
Next week and thereafter, only one Splintered Spark is obtainable every week. And like Seasons 2 and 3, with the increasing cap on Splintered Sparks per week, and if you ever fall behind you will be able to get Splintered Sparks from any catch-up source.

It seems there may be an easier way to obtain the Tusks of Mannoroth appearance during the Mists of Pandaria Remix event!
The tusks are one of the rarest transmogs in the game currently, even with the recently added Siege of Orgrimmar skip, as their drop rates are VERY low (0.1-0.3%, reportedly). As spotted by MrGM, the new Tusks of Mannoroth are a cosmetic appearance item added in the new limited time event. Now, some have suggested they may just be purchasable from the Bronze vendor (the currency that will drop off of pretty much anything in the event), making them pretty easy to get, but it seems there might be a different way to get them.
It's unclear whether the cosmetic will actually be purchasable or if it will drop somewhere else, but another interesting Mannoroth-related item was added as well, the Bones of Mannoroth, which may be related to the cosmetic.

As you can see the bones are a stackable resource you gain from killing Garrosh, and it's looking like they're a way to guarantee the Tusk appearance with enough kills! Just how many drop is unclear, but assuming you need all 20 for the appearance and that Normal drops 1, Heroic 2 and Mythic 3 bones, it may take at least 7 weeks to get them. Now the number required might be/is likely to be lower than the 20  stack maximum, and we may get more bones per kill.
But even at 7 weeks it's much, much easier to get than the current "hope for 0.3%" in retail, so it's still a pretty good deal! This may or may not upset players that farmed for the tusks for a long time the regular way, but there's a whole lot players that will be thrilled!
The Remix: Mists of Pandaria event starts on May 16th and should last until August 19th.
