BM monk weapon question

Hey, I'm new to having a monk/tanking (she's not even 90 yet), but I have a question about weapons. Does it make a difference I eventually equip 2H or DW? On my DK I felt like it definitely made a difference in my play style, so I want to be prepared for that if it does.

Thanks!

You get an extra dancing steel enchant with 1H.

The difference is so minimal it does not make a huge difference.

Just go for the highest ilvl witht the best stats.

Hi,

as Brewmonksta already suggested, always go with the highest ilvl weapon you can get, but in case of same ilvl choices:

2H weapons: stable/reliable EB generation and higher Stamina,
DW: +1 Dancing steel proc and slightly higher DPS output.

If you want to be tanky, I'd say go with a 2H weapon (I play DW atm tho. The reasons: I'm trying to get the highest DPS I can, and I haven't seen a 2H agi weapon drop this tier so far.)

In this instance i have found over the too many monks i raid on biggrin.png , the EB stacks are more than enough with 1H and provided you are playing properly the extra dps(mainly for 10man) will be a bigger help then faster EB stacks.

If you are maintaining the "best" rotation i fee the 1h and extra dps will help you more in progression than the 2H. However this will still follow the rule that it only becomes a decision between the 2 types if the weapons are of same ilvl and stats.

Note: 25 man vs 10 man has a very different style. DPS is more important in 10 man and the mastery can be more important in 25man(especially heroic).

This. Althought I prefer the 2H playstyle, I'm aiming to put out the most DPS I can get, since there is like no damage to mitigate in 10-mans and I need to do something with my life while tanking. ;D

And in 25-mans you'll have soo much higher Vengeance, that you'll still do shit tons of DPS.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Right now my guild does flex, but we're forming a 10man so looks like dps output will be more important there.

      Hello there,

I am trying to find a character that suits me and 'till now i didn't find it..
I have a Paladin level 110, a Rogue, DH, Warrior and a Druid. I really enjoyed to play Prot. Paladin but i was overwhelmed with all the knowledge i need to know for raids.I have to say that this is the class that i played the most. I have to say that i usually play in weekends and sometimes in week days.
I enjoyed playing warrior in PVP but, that was it, nothing else..

Two days ago i just got my Druid level 110 and played as Feral (with the intention to play Resto or Guard 'cause i want to be a healer and/or a tank but i found the rotations a little off for me..)

Anyway, my question is, what should i play? I was thinking about a Disc Priest or a Ench/Resto Shaman or a Brew/Mist Monk. I just can't decide what i should play and unfortunately i have to level them from scratch..

      Any advice ?

I really need a new perspective 'bout what i should play :)

      Thanks!

Maximum Effort is a new guild on Cenarion circle (A). I was the raid leader for my guild for a long time and we built up a strong raid team. Due to do some dis-agreements between me and the guild leader I was forced to leave. But luckly enough a lot of my team followed me! We're working to build a guild focused around team work and group progression. We love doing mythics, raids, talking and theory crafting about the game!
We have a very strong-core raid group, capable of clearing heroic and doing some mythic but we're just missing a few people to round it out!
Raid nights.. Tue/wed 6-830pm server (9:30-11:30 est) Off night Monday 6-830pm server (9-11:30 est)
Looking for.. -Any and all dps specs
      - Non pally or holy priest healer!
All raid mats and needs are covered by guild, we run personal look just for the ease of it.
My btag is Hethrus#1504 if you have questions or wish to try out!
