At last, I can ENVISION everyone as footballs!

...People smash footballs into the wall in the real game, right?

People smash axes for touchdowns in the real game, right?

No one told the Blizzard artist baseball is a dying sport and this is an international game?

Pretty lame skins.

Um, Baseball is growing and played professionally across half the planet so it is international. China really happens to like it too so you know... On top of that Football is more exclusive than Baseball where there are only two countries with professional leagues. Water sports are also primarily an American thing too.

I don't know maybe try Google before you talk nonsense. But the skins are trash so you got me there.

I guess you mean American football? And baseball also isn't widely known in Europe. I still don't know what it is about 😄 That being said, I kinda like Winston's outfit, although this sport doesn't fit his moveset much (Rein on the other hand is a good match).

Preface: I'm in Houston and an Astros  fan.

Baseball is not growing. Ratings have declined dramatically. Viewership in most major metropolitan cities is down as much as 25%. The majority of it's viewer base is above 55. Park attendance for the majority of teams is also dramatically low.

Google is your friend.

I dunno I kinda like the D.Va one. I'll prob try for that one.

Winston's doesnt look like anything special and Rein looks like a player from NFL Blitz (not a good thing).

So yeah, overall bad skins.

Baseball and Softball are the most participated team sports in the US. Youth baseball is also considerably on the rise because of Football and it's risks having parents not wanting their children to go into it and preferring a safer sport. On top of that MLB's revenue has been growing and expected to top $10 billion this year.

All of which is fine enough but just to add more you're talking about Nielsen ratings. Which is TV... Something that has been becoming outdated for a while now. Baseball is still streamed to phones and computers which is where the younger audience is, with more and more fans choosing those services because it's easier to pay MLB TV and watch whatever game you want, whenever you want.

There are two things you are right about. Attendance is down and I'm honestly not too sure why. It could be a myriad of things, Basketballs rapid rise to becoming the second most popular sport in the world, the game may really be too long, or the whole strike outs and home runs only debate. But people are still engaged and the league is still thriving and more importantly growing. The other thing you're right about is Google is my friend. But I didn't need it for any of this but good for you for just looking up the very first thing to justify what you said. If you'd like I will provide sources for anything I've said.

P.S. I don't like the Stros but good for them for winning the WS. I'm a sorry Angel's fan wondering when we're ever gonna get rid of Mike Soscia and finally get back to the playoffs. We're wasting good Mike Trout years and it sucks.

Ya American Football. And yes, Europe and Africa are the only continents where there is no real pro leagues. The America's and Asia is where it's widely popular but I guess Europe already has Cricket which at some point I want to learn for sure. A British friend of mine is supposed to teach me but I don't think he's really gonna do it.

Cricket is a British thing, not widely popular outside of UK. It's all about football/soccer here in Poland and for most of Europe.

Isn't popular in India too? And I do like me some soccer. I mean I really thoroughly enjoy any sport. My dad and I once watched on ESPN a professional Cornholing (been bag toss) tournament and we got way to into it trying to analyze how they were manipulating the bean bags to score points in different fashions. It was a lot of fun.

Meant Europe specifically, but outside of it I guess it is popular within Commonwealth. That's why Junkrat (Australia) had cricket skin last year.

The latest Overwatch event is coming on Thursday the 23th, and we already have three skins to take a look at. They're actually pretty damn good ones, featuring Reaper, Hanzo and Reinhardt connecting with their eastern roots (with Hanzo going double eastern, not that that sentence makes any sense).
Reaper seems to have won the skin-off this time, with his LÜ BU garments, and he even has some pretty great fan art ( by Ethan墨画 ) to go with it already.

There will be a few more coming in the next few days and hopefully they'll be as good as these three.

The events keep on rolling in, as we still have the Ana Bastet challenge going on until the 21st, and now Blizzard have already announced the next big one. The Lunar New Year is returning with the Year of the Pig and Solider:76 is pretty happy about it.
So, new emotes, highlight intros for Solider at least, and a whole lot more cosmetics are coming next week, keeping things moving along and fresh.
We also have a new video commissioned by Blizzard themselves by dillongoo, featuring a very fluffy Ana and Solider:

There's a pretty staggering amount of OW Funko Pop figures out there (55!), from the basic models to more specific skins and designs, and that doesn't even cover all heroes! Game Informer has put together a list of all the different editions you can buy, some at exclusive retailers and pointed out that we still don't have a Bastion one!
You can head on over there if you want to check out everything that's available, and here's a few of my picks for the best ones as well:

Here come the announced PTR notes, focusing mainly on some armor changes, going from 5 to 3 maximum damage blocked (remaining at a cap of half of the original damage). We also have another Brigitte nerf, capping the duration of Rally to 30 seconds, a nef to D.Va's Defensive Matrix and a big buff to Reaper's self-healing.
      PTR Noes, January 8 (source)
      HERO UPDATES
      General
Damage reduction from armor reduced from -5 to -3 Developer Comments: Before this change armor reduced all incoming damage by up to 5, maxing at half of the normal amount. This change reduces the damage reduction to 3, while still capping at half. This change will be mostly noticeable on heroes that fire quickly or in a burst of shots (such as shotguns), and which do more than 6 damage per shot. For example, Soldier: 76’s Heavy Pulse Rifle will now do 16 damage per shot to armor, up from 14, an increase of 15%. Armor was a bit too strong overall, especially when being healed quickly and often. This change will help more heroes fight against higher armored enemies.
      Brigitte
Rally Now has a maximum duration of 30 seconds Developer Comments: Sometimes Rally could cause a snowballing effect where it was too difficult to deal with the increased health of Brigitte’s allies before she built up another one. This change puts a cap on how long her Rally effect can last to make it a bit more manageable in those situations.
      D.Va
Defense Matrix Cooldown increased from 1 second to 2 seconds Developer Comments: This change allows D.Va’s enemies to try to play around her Defense Matrix by increasing its downtime between uses.
      Reaper
The Reaping Life steal increased from 30% to 50% of damage dealt Developer Comments: Reaper’s passive is one of the main tools he has which allow him to play aggressively when near his enemies. This change allows him to keep the pressure up as long as he can stay near his enemies enough to keep dealing damage. This change is particularly effective versus tanks, as they tend to do less damage than damage heroes, and also take more damage from his Hellfire Shotguns due to their larger hit volumes.
      Previous Live patch notes.
