Mythic Taloc is a pretty manageable boss, even easier than some Heroic bosses, so it was no hard task for Rextroy and 19 of his Prot Pala colleagues to down him!

You may remember that the renowned soloer Rextroy recently had a brush with the law, he spent some time in Blizzard Jail for his Vectis solo kill, but it all proved to be a big misunderstanding. Starym even had the chance to sit down with him to talk about the whole incident in the first part of their interview.

Now, Rextroy is back but not by himself. He gathered 19 more valiant Protection Paladins and they all downed Taloc on Mythic difficulty in just under 10 minutes. It's quite an impressive feat, given that we are used to seeing kills like that by the end of a raiding tier (although the boss is pretty much a walkthrough).

Given that the group was full of Tanks, one of the Mythic abilities (Hardened ArteriesHardened Arteries) was completely skipped, while the other one (Enlarged HeartEnlarged Heart) was easily handled. The most difficult part of the fight was meeting the DPS requirements.

Time to make our way through Mythic Uldir as a group of amazing Protection Paladins! I assume we will get stuck on Fetid Devourer however....

The reason it is quite viable is that we got lots of offhealing. Judgment of Light also stacks these days so 20x makes you heal for LOADS. I didn't check healing done but top palas were usually around 8-10k HPS while average were at 5-6k.

DPS is the main issue for a 20 tank group. Taloc actually proved to be quite a challenge to us because of the adds during second phase. However once people got the hang of the lift we had this amazing smooth attempt you see on the video! (most of the time, we wiped at p2 or berserk at 5-10%).

We also completely skip Hardened Arteries since it cannot target tanks!... And Enlarged Heart were really easily cheesed as 20 Protection Paladins, since we got 3 different ways to avoid it.

With a fair amount of game adaptations heading over to Netflix in TV show form, the most recent and significant being the Witcher, Str1der has taken it upon himself to make a trailer for what a World of Warcraft show might look like. With the Warcraft movie not having done so well and having somewhat deviated from the original lore (although, so has the game itself at this point), it would really be a nice thing to see all the ancillary content featured in novels and comics etc. brought together in TV show format.
The trailer is pretty well put together, however the choice of the song "Human" is clearly Alliance-favoritism and wholly inappropriate, therefore we all need to boycott it!!11 (For those of you that are sensitive to the faction allegiances, well, first of all, what's wrong with you, and second, that was a joke.)
My personal favorite is when Illidan shows up and the song goes "some people have real problems", which is perhaps one of the most accurate song to scene pairings in the history of trailers.
So, what do you think of the trailer and the idea of a Netflix WoW show? Should it focus on present day Azeroth and follow the expansions to give us a better understanding of the characters we interact with, or would you prefer it to start from the very beginning and eventually catch up?

World of Warcraft's third expansion was released on this day 8 years ago.
Deathwing transformed Azeroth forever as we know it. In Cataclysm, the whole world burned under the shadow of his wings and the expansion went live on December 7, 2010.
Patch 4.1: Rise of the Zandalari
The first major content patch of the expansion was released on April 26, 2011 and brought the reopening of Zul'Aman and Zul'Gurub. While Amani War Bear was removed from the game, players can still obtain a recolor of the mount (Amani Battle Bear) to this day.
Patch 4.2: Rage of the Firelands
The second Cataclysm patch went live on June 28, 2011 and included Firelands, a new raid with Ragnaros as the final boss, a new daily quest hub (Molten Front) and Dungeon Journal. Interesting loot from the Firelands includes Smoldering Egg of Millagazor that has a small chance to drop from Heroic Ragnaros, Flametalon of Alysrazor which drops from Alysrazor and Fandral's Flamescythe from Staghelm that gives Druid cats a fiery appearance.
      Patch 4.3: Hour of Twilight
The final major content patch went live on November 29, 2011. Three new 5-player dungeons were released (Hour of Twilight, End Time, Well of Eternity). In terms of system updates, Raid Finder, Void Storage and Transmogrification were added to the game. The final raid Dragon Soul featured Deathwing as the final boss. Interesting drops include Reins of the Blazing Drake, Life-Binder's Handmaiden off Deathwing and Experiment 12-B from Ultraxion.
