Class Tuning on January 29: Unholy Death Knight, Resto Druid, Arms Warrior

Recommended Posts

Right when Mythic Battle of Dazar'alor opens its gates, three specs are getting some tuning with Unholy Death Knight having its Death Coil damage buffed and Arms Warrior getting multiple buffs. Meanwhile, Restoration Druid will have the healing of its Efflorescence increased but its Mastery is getting nerfed slightly.

The Arms buffs were expected, as they were teased during yesterday's Q&A. As far as the Resto Druid changes are concerned, especially that Mastery nerf, Kaivax explained that the team is still contemplating PvP tuning. These class changes will take effect with the weekly reset on January 29 in the US and January 30 in Europe.

With scheduled maintenance next week, we’re going to make some adjustments to three specs. We’re keeping a close eye on both early performance in the new raid as well as how things have been going in Mythic Keystone dungeons in Tides of Vengeance.

Our usual disclaimers apply - we may change these slightly before Tuesday:

Death Knight

  • Unholy
    • Death Coil damage increased by 20%.
  • Restoration
    • Efflorescence healing increased by 25%.
    • Effect of Mastery: Harmony reduced by 6%.
  • Arms
    • Mortal Strike, Execute, Slam, Overpower, and Rend damage increased by 8%.

As always, we’ll post here and elsewhere if the above changes, and final adjustments will be in the next hotfixes update after maintenance.
