jinsu2301 273 Report post Posted March 24, 2019 Back in "ye olden days" of WoW, items had multiple sockets of different colors, and if you put the right color of gem in each socket, you would gain a small bonus. A Prismatic Socket allowed for any gem color. Today, socket and gem colors no longer matter, there are no bonuses to gain on modern gear. The term is at this point just an anachronism. You can pick whatever gem you will benefit most from for those sockets. I'd refer to our BM guide as to which gems you should pick. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
