Bee Mounts Finally Coming in Patch 8.2?

Recommended Posts

36283-bee-mounts-in-battle-for-azeroth.j

It seems Alliance players will finally be able to get their hands on Bee mounts come Rise of Azshara.

Patch 8.2 datamining revealed four new factions that may be related to Bee mounts datamined back in Patch 8.0.1. The new entries include:

  • Hivemother
  • Drone
  • Queen
  • Honey Bee

While we don't have any additional details to share at this time, it seems the Alliance is one step closer to receiving their Bee mounts, teased back at last year's BlizzCon. Maybe it's time to start looking for new secrets in Stormsong Valley when Patch 8.2 goes live.

Pfft.. Why limit such a awesome mount to the Alliance?

Because the Horde already have way too much cool stuff.

Because the only Alliance mounts this expansion are horses and gryphons maybe? 😄

i don't think alliance will be the only ones able to use it. it will probably be like kua-fon for the horde. you can get it only on horde and then use it on alliance this will be the same but reverse. only able to get it on alliance but your horde character will be able to use it too.

Players who kept the Gift of N'Zoth buff from the Xal'atath Crucible of Storms intro quest line began hearing N'zoth's whispers on live servers.
We have no idea what implications this might have and whether or not it even indicates anything, since Patch 8.2 is still in testing and a Tuesday launch is more than unlikely due to Essence tuning and Azshara's Eternal Palace, which is supposedly coming shortly after launch. Blizzard said they wouldn't be delaying the new raid like they did with Battle of Dazar'alor.
You can check out N'zoth's creepy whispers in the tweet below posted by Taliesin and Evitel.

Recently the new essence received from PvP which gives you access to an extra PvP talent, that also works in PvE situations, has made waves and there are plenty of threads about it on the forums. One in particular got a blue response which clarified just how powerful and how relevant the essence is supposed to be for PvE-focused players. Each spec gets a specific PvP talent added and some of them currently selected on the PTR are a little too powerful and feel mandatory for PvE, such as Moonkin Aura for Boomkins and Leader of the Pack for Feral Druids, but Blizzard clarified it is not their intention to have must-have talents for PvE available through the essence, as its primary goal is to add additional choice for PvP players.
For more info on this essence, check out our preview of it here.
      Conflict and Strife (source)
The chosen abilities in PTR data are not final. In particular, the ones that would clearly be overpowered or problematic in PvE (such as Leader of the Pack) are generally cases where the final decision of which PvP Talent to give hasn’t yet been made.
The primary goal of Conflict and Strife is to provide an interesting choice in PvP by allowing access to an extra PvP Talent. It’s not necessarily going to be a strong option for PvE. The acquisition of this Essence is via PvP, and is totally optional for PvE-focused players. While there may be interesting PvE uses for some of the choices, it is not expected to be a strong competitor on usual PvE criteria (like total throughput) on every spec.

It seems the first stress test didn't quite do the job yet, as Blizzard are scheduling a second one next week, due to more issues with the first one than were anticipated (mainly of the login screen variety). Everyone that was invited to the first one will also be invited to the second, the level cap will be raised to 10 and it will also be available for a full day, starting at 2pm PDT on Wednesday, May 29th.

The first stress test turned out to be a lot of fun, once players managed to log in, as Blizzard spawned in many raid bosses at the end, including Ragnaros and C'thun, while many people went for more serious raiding experiences, such as the big level 5 Hogger raids.
      2nd Stress Test (source)
We have just wrapped up the first stress test for WoW Classic and while we understand the concerns that a number of you have mentioned, it helped us in many ways. Testing the login process is certainly an aspect that is very important for us to explore and we did gather some valuable data yesterday, so we appreciate everybody who logged in or even attempted to do so during the testing window – you have helped us prepare WoW Classic for release.
That said, because of some of the issues that were encountered, we were not able to test other aspects that we’d planned for. As a result, we will be doing another stress test on Wednesday, May 29 from 2-4pm PDT. The stress test realm will become available at 2pm PDT and the level cap will be increased to 10. For access, we will be including everybody who was invited to the test on May 22. Similar to last time, the stress test realm will continue to be available until 4pm PDT on Thursday, May 30 so there is additional time to check out the starting experiences.
Please keep in mind that while more issues could impact the play experience, it is very important to perform these tests so we can learn about and fix as many of them as possible before the release on August 27. We thank you for your continued support and we’ll see you back on the WoW Classic stress test realm very soon.
      Hogger also sends his regards…

TukUI has been ported over to Classic Beta and looks gorgeous! If you're looking for a simple lightweight and sleek UI to get you started in August, definitely check it out!
TukUI makes Classic WoW look really good and comes with pretty much everything you'd expect from a modern user interface.

It is easy to install and fully customizable, just type: /tukui c in the chat to open up "Settings".

If you're playing Beta, download TukUI from here, extract the folder and move both Tukui and Tukui_Config to your Interface/Addons folder (both folders must be present in the same directory). Make sure to check if you're addons are enabled upon logging in to the game.
If you're willing to go the extra mile, download ImmersionClassic. It replaces the dated quest and gossip frames.

Note that TukUI currently has some issues with Questie when both addons run in parallel.
      Classic Addons
If you're looking for more Classic Addons, we compiled a list of useful resources:
Spreadsheet with Working Classic Addons -- periodically updated with new addons as they become available. Will It Classic? -- another great site with updated information regarding Classic Addons. Questie SVN (GitHub) -- a popular addon for questing, still in early stages of testing. WoWInterface -- Classic section of the popular site for addons.

An interesting new Essence has been added to 8.2 PTR yesterday called Conflict and Strife. It allows for the use of a single predetermined PvP ability for each Class in PvE and we have the full list.
If you're late to the party, check out our Heart of Azeroth Changes and the Introduction to Essences in Patch 8.2 to learn about upcoming changes to the system in Rise of Azshara.

Note that this is the initial push of abilities for the Conflict and Strife Essence. Expect more tuning to follow in future 8.2 builds.
      Blizzard (Source)
It’s important to know – this is a preliminary look at this Essence. We’ll have changes to it in future PTR builds.
At this time, not all choices have been replaced or modified as needed to be acceptable in PvE.
Conflict and Strife is a new Essence which allows for the use of a PvP talent in PvE.
