We are looking for like minded folks who are accustomed to high end raiding, but are also wanting to enjoy the road leading to it. Most of the members of Torch are former raiders of games such as EverQuest, Swtor, and of course WoW. While we are not considering ourselves “Hardcore” this time around, we will be pushing to clear content as quickly as possible. Our approach to classic is to clear all raid content in an efficient manner while maintaining a relaxed atmosphere.Our Goal While our mindset is semi-hardcore, we do have current and future goals set out as each phase of progression is released in Classic WoW. During phase 1 with Molten Core and Onyxia we have a timeline of 8 weeks to reach level 60 and be pre-raid BiS or as close to it as possibly achievable, we understand sometimes RNG with running dungeons just isn't on your side. Starting in phase 3 with the release of Blackwing Lair and going further we will being taking the approach of being one of the servers top 3 guilds and pushing for server firsts. With that, raid spots are competitive and while we will never force anyone into anything understanding it is your account and at the end of the day you are free to play whatever class/race combination and professions you want, we hope and look for members that are willing to think of the guild as a whole and understand that we are looking to maximize potential to remain near the top. Loot Distribution We have decided to use a loot council system with rotating members. What this means is that every week 3 of 5 officers, and 2 randomly selected raiders will be a part of loot council for an unbiased and fair loot distribution into the guild.
