Comprehensive Guides for World of Wacraft Patch 8.2

Recommended Posts

MsfyMFQ.png

We've updated our guide section with new guides for Rise of Azshara, which include zone guides for Mechagon and Nazjatar, a guide for Heart of Azeroth and Essences, reputation guides for the new factions, and Profession guides.

1. Mechagon Zone Guide

Legends speak of a place off the craggy coast of Kul Tiras whose denizens have replaced blood and bones with bolts and brass: Mechagon Island, home of a society of mechanically augmented gnomes and their iron-fisted ruler King Mechagon. Our comprehensive guide covers all aspects of the zone, including quests, rares, collectibles, and of course, Junkyard Tinkering! [Learn More]

The comprehensive guide to Mechagon covers all aspects of the new Patch 8.2 zone, including Junkyard Tinkering, quest lines, rares, and mounts.

2. Nazjatar Zone Guide

Players will face Queen Azshara and her fearsome naga army in Nazjatar, but before you breach the gates of her Eternal Palace, you'll need to set up a foothold and find new allies in the perilous realm. [Learn More]

3. Heart of Azeroth & Essence Guide

Progression is shifting to the Heart of Azeroth Heart of Azeroth itself in Patch 8.2 and players will unlock new powers in the form of Essences, similar to the Artifact progression system back in Legion.

Our Heart of Azeroth guide covers everything you need to know about updates to the legendary neckpiece and our Essence guide will help you find out where to get all powers and how they differ from each other.

4. Reputation Guides

You can finally unlock flying in Patch 8.2, but you'll need to earn Revered with two new factions and explore the new zones first. Quartermasters will have interesting wares for sale and all necessary information can be found in our all-new reputation guides.

5. Profession Guides

New patterns and crafting materials will be available in Rise of Azshara, and we've prepared guides to help you track all the changes in one place.

One More Thing

Some content will be unavailable when Patch 8.2 goes live on June 25th. This includes the Eternal Palace, Mythic & PvP Season 3 and Operation: Mechagon.

Are class guides updating for 8.2?

Of course! Our team is hard at work updating them as we speak 🙂.

Hey Stan - for 8.2, could the team do a full review of the guides instead of just updating a section here or there.

For example, the hunter and DK class guides are fairly outdated and contain some recommendations that are now false.

Would you care to elaborate which portions of the guides do you think are outdated?

I can leave them on the respective forms, no need to clutter this up this thread 🙂

BTW, that is not a criticism./accusation You guys maintain a huge amount of content and I'm assuming its a part time gig for the class guide authors - what you guys do is super impressive

DesMephisto is back (or, more accurately, he never left, as he constantly strives to improve his leveling speeds), and he's gotten his speed record for 10-50 Shadowlands leveling significantly down from his last attempt! 3 hours and 56 minutes (or 3 h 37 min, if you remove the "screwing around" parts) is all it took to get to the equivalent of today's level 120, using Chromie time in Warlords of Draenor, beating the previous best we reported by over an hour and a half.

Now, it's important to mention that Blizzard have stated in interviews that the current XP rates and leveling speeds on Alpha aren't final and are very rough at the moment, but it's till great to see players going for these speed records nonetheless.
And here's the last minute or so of the leveling process, and you can check out the whole thing below as well:

You can also check out our recent interview with the man himself, where he goes into all the many recent achievements he's had, from the 46 max level warriors, to the speed leveling, Autism charity, Guinness World Record and more.

Method ran Ny'alotha on Heroic difficulty with a raid comprised of 29 Mages and one Demon Hunter, and while they downed all the bosses including N'Zoth, the clear highlight is Dresta'gath that has been defeated in just 22 seconds.
You can watch the Pyroblast shower and Dresta'gath's decreasing health bar in the following video:

3D Artist Dronmo has created a jungle in Unreal Engine 4 inspired by Stranglethorn Vale.
Here's a comparison of the Stranglethorn Vale in World of Warcraft and the recreated version of the zone in Unreal Engine 4 taken from ArtStation.

Here's another comparison of the zone.

The artist teamed up with his friend, a guitar virtuoso, who produced ambient relaxing music for the video.
