Nullification Dynamo is a Tank Essence gated behind Rustbolt Resistance reputation. Check out our Heart of Azeroth Essence guide to learn more about the 8.2 system.

Nullification Dynamo

"The inside feels completely void of energy and matter, yet heavy."

Essence Effects & Ranks

The Tank Essence is gated behind various reputation ranks with the Mechagon faction and you can purchase them directly from the Stolen Royal Vendorbot <Rustbolt Resistance Quartermaster> up to Rank 3.

The major power activates a shield which absorbs magic damage and removes harmful effects on you at higher ranks. The minor power is a passive shield that absorbs magic damage for a period of time. It can be upgraded to cause AoE damage when it expires.

Note: Some tooltips currently do not display the proper values. Rank 3 is directly taken from the game.

Seems kinda rough to make it "useless" prior to exa and then multiply the power by factor of 20 for exa.

I thought they were going to "reduce gating".
Seems like a lovely essence for certain encounters though.

Isn't 5500 like reeeeeally not that much? I have basically no clue about tanking as max I've tanked are mythic 0es for the weekly or an occasional LFR where even mages could tank. But 5500 on a three minute CD seems like a bad joke... The rank 3 amount is something I would expect from a useful on use magic mitigation effect.

The minor Power seems quite nice if the boss dishes out periodic magic damage.

So in short - I agree completely. Can't see that being used before Rank 3...

Rank one is more then 5500... Mine was like 155k or something in that ballpark just a typo or something on here

Well that's a whole different ballgame. Typo seems to be on WoWDbs end (as stated by Stan in the original Post).

The tooltip on Wowhead states for the rank 3 ability: Gain an empowered Null Barrier, absorbing [89500 * (1 + Versatility)] magic damage for 10 sec, and instantly remove all harmful Magic, Curse, Poison, and Disease effects on you, the ability being on a 2.25 minute CD. So way more than 5k.

Assuming Wowheads tooltips to be correct, the shield amount of both the major and minor powers do not change when gaining ranks, meaning the shields will always be the same. Rank 2 reduces the CD of the major power from 3 to 2.25 minutes and the CD between lesser barriers from 20 to 15 seconds; rank 3 adds a purge effect as well as an explosion dealing damage based on the absorbed amount when the barrier expires. Although to me it is not quite clear, if this explosion is triggered by the Barrier provided by the major power, the smaller ones provided by the minor power or both. It just states "Null Barrier", which is what the lesser barriers are called. So logic would dictate the explosion is tied to the barriers provided by the minor power as the Major barrier of any rank is an "Empowered Null Barrier", according to Wowheads tooltip.

So all in all not so useless after all apparently.

Edit: Formula for the minor barriers is [17817* (1 + Versatility)] if anyonye was wondering.

DesMephisto is back (or, more accurately, he never left, as he constantly strives to improve his leveling speeds), and he's gotten his speed record for 10-50 Shadowlands leveling significantly down from his last attempt! 3 hours and 56 minutes (or 3 h 37 min, if you remove the "screwing around" parts) is all it took to get to the equivalent of today's level 120, using Chromie time in Warlords of Draenor, beating the previous best we reported by over an hour and a half.

Now, it's important to mention that Blizzard have stated in interviews that the current XP rates and leveling speeds on Alpha aren't final and are very rough at the moment, but it's till great to see players going for these speed records nonetheless.
And here's the last minute or so of the leveling process, and you can check out the whole thing below as well:

You can also check out our recent interview with the man himself, where he goes into all the many recent achievements he's had, from the 46 max level warriors, to the speed leveling, Autism charity, Guinness World Record and more.

Method ran Ny'alotha on Heroic difficulty with a raid comprised of 29 Mages and one Demon Hunter, and while they downed all the bosses including N'Zoth, the clear highlight is Dresta'gath that has been defeated in just 22 seconds.
You can watch the Pyroblast shower and Dresta'gath's decreasing health bar in the following video:

3D Artist Dronmo has created a jungle in Unreal Engine 4 inspired by Stranglethorn Vale.
Here's a comparison of the Stranglethorn Vale in World of Warcraft and the recreated version of the zone in Unreal Engine 4 taken from ArtStation.

Here's another comparison of the zone.

The artist teamed up with his friend, a guitar virtuoso, who produced ambient relaxing music for the video.
