Players who pre-purchase Warcraft III: Reforged Spoils of War Edition will receive Mal'Ganis as a pet in Diablo III.

The latest Patch 2.6.6, which is currently available on Public Test Realms, revealed the Diablo III pet reward for everyone who pre-orders Spoils of War.

Credit goes to Redditor Gnueless for the screenshots that he posted on Reddit earlier today.

Holy *filtered*, I guess it's time to hop back into whatever season it is now for some fresh Diablo III experience.

Seriously though, I remember Warcraft Reforged being scheduled for release early this year or maybe I'm wrong on this. I guess it was delayed intentionally.

It looks cool and nostalgic. The only thing that interests me is whether it will have some sort of upgraded WorldEdit or not. For how cool it would've been to see original DotA made on the visually and technically upgraded engine, it seems that there are no more enthusiasts who'd take on that. While DracoL1ch maintains original DotA updates for Europe and China, I asked him and it seems that he's not interested in re-making it. Not to mention WorldEdit EULA upgrade Blizz did after the IceFrog DotA fuckup that pretty much makes you transfer the rights on anything you've created to Blizzard.

Anyone know when the game is coming out?

No update since announcement, but it is set to be released by the end of 2019 (and they have to due to EU laws).

It was always scheduled to come by the end of 2019, beta was supposed to come out during spring, but that didn't happen. No need for DotA remake, since old maps will be compatible (the only potential issue are custom imported models, since those obviously won't update by themselves).

Oh? Could you tell me more about the fact they have to due to the EU-laws? I'm completely unaware of that. Why can't they delay the releasedate while it happens very often with other games? Just asking out of curiosity and lack of knowledge about these laws.

I do remember they said end of 2019 as release date, but I also know that the Culling of Stratholme-mission would be playable before that. I still haven't seen that mission being released, so that made me worry a bit about the release date of the actual full game.

Because they launched pre-orders for money, and by law they have to set a release date within a year (that's why there is "expected to release no later than 12/31/2019"). Not meeting that date means they would have to issue refunds to everyone. It's actually very serious, otherwise they might face restrictions for future pre-orders in EU regions, possibly some fines as well. This doesn't apply to announcements and changing release dates, but once they start taking money (and they did), it works like that.

I hope Blizz thought that one through... no point in getting a half finished game out on a date they kind of forced upon themselves. Else we'll get the same shitshow EA/Bioware/Bethesda created with fallout and anthem... Well, at least they are used to community backlash by now

I was not aware of those regulations in the EU. I think it's quite interesting, as the gaming industry - developing and publishing in particular - seems to be target of quite a lot of regulations as of late. Not that I mind - as long as those regulations are developed by people, who know what they are doing and are well executed. Behavior of "some" companies in the business lacks moral standards. Surprise mechanics my *filtered*... kindly go f* yourselves EA. Not that this is any different in say the food sector though (/cough company with a birds nest in their logo).

To me it seems at least part of the problem is the sheer amount of money now in the sector. AFAIK worth of the video games market was about USD 80 billion in 2017 with still lots of potential for growth. There was a time, when developers would have to please the gamers who would reward them with actually buying the finished product. Now it seems companies have to make sure, investors are pleased first and foremost. Kind of sad but again no different than everywhere else.

So far they delivered on time, for example SC:R and BfA also had "no later than" release date for their pre-orders. These laws apply for other products as well, physical goods included. Law requires to provide "delivery date", if it's not included, then they are forbidden to charge money for pre-orders. I also hope WC3 Reforged is going to be alright, this radio silence is worrying. With only four months remaining, there isn't even much room remaining for beta, so either beta isn't going to happen or it might be a very short one.

We're dealing with Monks in this week's Challenge Rift, so check out the video guides for a smooth clear!
      EU Challenge Rift 145
Ignore Mantra of Salvation and Cyclone Strike; both abilities are a waste of spirit. Use Sweeping Wind when you enter the rift and again if you die. Keep channeling Tempest Rush from the moment you enter the rift until you are out, use Epiphany on cooldown so that you don't run out of spirit. Use Blinding Flash on the Rift Guardian.
For the layout and more tips check out Mnemonic's video below.
      US Challenge Rift 145
Spam Breath of Heaven and Epiphany whenever they are up. Note that using Epiphany will teleport you to the target. Never use Mantra of Salvation or Wave of Light. Dash to monsters and use Crippling Wave (spirit generator) to punch them.
Check out the video below by Raxxanterax for more details about this week's Challenge Rift!

In this week's Challenge Rift, we're dealing with the new Wizard Hydra set.
      EU Challenge Rift 144
Use Storm Armor and Familiar at the beginning of the rift to buff up.
Black Hole should be used on Elites and to stack up enemies. Teleport around and let HydraArcane Hydras do the work. You always want to have up five hydras.
For the layout and additional tips check out Mnemonic's video below.
      US Challenge Rift 144
At the beginning of the rift, activate your Magic WeaponConduit and Storm ArmorScramble.
Activate Slow TimeTime Warp on Elites. You can use TeleportWormhole twice within a short time frame, so make sure to use that for moving around efficiently.
Black HoleAbsolute Zero should be used to gather up enemies, otherwise, just summon Hydras.
Check out the video below by Raxxanterax for more details about this week's Challenge Rift!

The first Challenge Rift of Season 20 has arrived and we have a Barbarian utilizing the new Frenzy set in both regions.
      EU Challenge Rift 143
Activate Battle Rage for more damage and War Cry for more toughness when you enter the rift. Immediately start attacking mobs to get the 5 stacks of Frenzy going. You need to maintain them which is not that hard, just keep attacking. Use Furious Charge to move around. Try to utilize the Shield Pylon from the first floor up to the fourth where the mob type deals less damage.
For the layout and additional tips check out Mnemonic's video below.
      US Challenge Rift 143
The Flavor of Time is going to double the duration of your pylons and Bane of the Powerful provides a damage-increasing buff after killing an elite pack. When killing yellow elites, it means you must defeat all their minions too for it to trigger.
You activate Wrath of the BerserkerInsanity, Threatening ShoutIntimidate, and War CryImpunity all the time. Battle RageBloodshed should be cast just twice because the buff lasts long.
Other than that, you use Furious Charge to move around and fish for Elite packs and keep 10 stacks of Frenzy up.
Check out the video by Raxxanterax for the layout of this week's Challenge Rift.

With the current server issues still affecting EU players, we've put together a quick tutorial on how to start Diablo 3 without ever needing to open the Battle.net client!
As many of you have most likely already noticed, with barely any time left to go until the start of Season 20 in Diablo 3 for EU players, there are currently issues with the Battle.net app for a large number of players, regardless of which game they are hoping to play.
While WoW players can simply boot up using the .exe file in their program files, things are slightly more difficult for Diablo players, as the .exe file will normally just start up the Battle.net app.
To avoid this problem and log into Diablo despite the ongoing issues, follow the steps below:
Create a shortcut to your Diablo .exe file (not the launcher .exe). You should use the 64-bit version in /x64 if you normally use this version. Go into the properties of the shortcut and edit the shortcut target. Add " -launch" to the end of it, including the space at the start, but without quotation marks. Save your changes and use the shortcut - Diablo 3 will start up shortly afterwards. You will need to log in with your account details and, if you have an Authenticator, you will need to enter the code manually. Make sure to double check the region you are logging into with the options menu on the log-in screen. While this method is not perfect, it should get you into the game in time for the new season! There are a few issues that you may run into, which can be solved as follows:
My game is taking too long to load. This is completely normal when booting in this manner, just let the game load up. If it is taking a really long time, you may be trying to start up the wrong version of Diablo (32-bit vs. 64-bit). The 64-bit version can be found in /x64. My game stopped responding. Go into Task Manager and end any Battle.net or Diablo 3 launcher tasks. These cause it to stop working/stop loading. I never downloaded the latest patch. Unfortunately, this method only works if your game is up-to-date. It will not let you into the game if you need to download a patch. Once your game is up and running, make sure to check out our updated class guides for Season 20!

The Season of Forbidden Archives and its free-for-all Kanai's Cube slot usage is upon us today and it's time to check out what all classes have to offer in our build guide roundup! Most players will probably be focusing on Barbarian, Witch Doctor and Wizard, with the WD getting it's most powerful build to date, and despite those three classes getting the biggest changes and most new toys to play with,  there's plenty of interesting and powerful builds for the other classes as well.

You can also check out the most recent balance patch notes here or check out the Season 20 group meta, solo and speedfarming rankings.

Aside from the new Frenzy build based on the new set, the best Barbarian group build also got a big boost this season, as it's using the 2 part bonus from Horde of the Ninety Savages as well as the new season's power.

Heaven's Fury Crusader (Aegis of Valor) (Top Tier) Speed Farming Variation Blessed Shield Crusader (Legacy of Dreams Gem) (Top Tier) Thorns Crusader (Invoker + Endless Walk) (Top Tier) Speed Farming Variation Condemn LoD Crusader (Legacy of Dreams Gem) (High Tier) Condemn Akkhan Crusader (Akkhan + Bastions) (High Tier) Speed Farming Variation Hammerdin Crusader (SoL + Endless Walk) (High Tier) Speed Farming Variation Sweep Attack Crusader (Roland + Endless Walk) (Mid Tier) Speed Farming Variation Fist of the Heavens Crusader (Aegis of Valor) (Mid Tier) Speed Farming Variation Bombardment Crusader (LoN) (Mid Tier) Speed Farming Variation Shield Bash Crusader (Roland + Bastions) (Low Tier) Speed Farming Variation

Rapid Fire Demon Hunter (Legacy of Dreams Gem) (Top Tier) Rapid Fire Natalya Demon Hunter (Natalya + Endless Walk) (Top Tier) Impale Demon Hunter (Shadow + Endless Walk) (Top Tier) Speed Farming Variation Group Progression Variation Sentry Demon Hunter (Marauder + Natalya + Endless Walk) (High Tier) Multishot Demon Hunter (Unhallowed + Bastions) (High Tier) Speed Farming Variation Cluster Arrow Demon Hunter  (Marauder + Bastions) (Mid Tier) Speed Farming Variation Rockets-based Progression Variation Grenades Demon Hunter (Unhallowed + Endless Walk) (Mid Tier) Speed Farming Variation Rain of Vengeance Demon Hunter (Natalya + Bastions) (Mid Tier) Speed Farming Variation Fan of Knives LoD Demon Hunter (Legacy of Dreams Gem) (Low Tier) Chakram Demon Hunter (Unhallowed + Bastions) (Low Tier) Speed Farming Variation

Monks see the return of the Support Inna build to the very top, with the two Tempest Rush builds moving up to the top 3, as the Uliana Seven-Sided Strike build moves up a tier.
Support Monk (Inna + Born's Command + Captain Crimson) (Top Tier) Tempest Rush Sunwuko Monk (Monkey King + Captain Crimson) (Top Tier) Speed Farming Variation Tempest Rush Patterns Monk (Patterns of Justice + Captain Crimson) (Top Tier) Wave of Light LoD Monk (Legacy of Dreams Gem) (Top Tier) Wave of Light Monk (Monkey King + Captain Crimson) (High Tier) Speed Farming Variation Inna Variation Generator Monk (Rainment + Endless Walk + Captain Crimson + Shenlong) (High Tier) Speed Farming Variation Inna Variation Seven-Sided Strike Monk (Uliana + Captain Crimson + Endless Walk) (High Tier) Speed Farming Variation Lashing Tail Kick LoD Monk (Legacy of Dreams Gem) (Mid Tier) Lashing Tail Kick Monk (Monkey King) (Mid Tier) Speed Farming Variation Exploding Palm Monk (Inna + Endless Walk) (Low Tier) Speed Farming Variation Mystic Ally Pets Variation

The Necromancer has has a big shakeup at the top, with the Support build rising to the very top in Season 20 thanks to the season power, and the second best build, Poison Nova LoD, also being possible only thanks to the Forbidden Archives buff and using 3 weapons in the Cube.
Support Necromancer (Pestilence + Captain Crimson) (Top Tier) (New) Poison Nova Trash Killer (Legacy of Dreams Gem) (Top Tier) (New) Corpse Lance LoD Necromancer (Legacy of Dreams Gem) (Top Tier) Singularity Necromancer (Legacy of Dreams Gem) (Top Tier) Skeletons Thorns Solo LoD Necromancer (Legacy of Dreams Gem) (High Tier) Corpse Lance Necromancer (Pestilence + Endless Walk) (High Tier) Speed Farming Variation Trag'Oul Variation Group Progression Variation Generator Necromancer (Inarius) (High Tier) Speed Farming Variation Skeletal Mages Rathma Necromancer (Rathma + Jesseth) (Mid Tier) Speed Farming Variation Group Speed GR Variation Skeletal Mages Trag'Oul Necromancer (Trag'Oul + Jesseth) (Mid Tier) Solo Progression Variation Blood Nova Necromancer (Legacy of Dreams Gem) (Mid Tier) Corpse Explosion Necromancer (Inarius + Endless Walk) (Low Tier) Speed Farming Variation Bone Storm Necromancer (Inarius + Endless Walk) (Low Tier) Speed Farming Variation

Witch Doctors got the best deal this season, with another top tier entry in their build lists, as the new Mundunugu set performs very well, as the two Carnevil Posion Darts and Soul Harvest builds stay at the top as well.
Carnevil Poison Dart Witch Doctor (Zunimasa + Aughild's Authority + Endless Walk) Speed Farming Variation Carnevil Poison Dart LoD Witch Doctor (Legacy of Dreams Gem) (Top Tier) Soul Harvest Witch Doctor (Jade Harvester) (Top Tier) Speed Farming Variation Spirit Barrage Witch Doctor (Mundunugu + Endless Walk) (Top Tier) (New) Speed Farming Variation Spirit Barrage Witch Doctor (Legacy of Dreams Gem) (High Tier) Speed Farming Variation Group Progression Variation Firebats Witch Doctor (Arachyr + Endless Walk) (High Tier) Speed Farming Variation Group Progression Variation Gargantuan Zunimasa Witch Doctor (Zunimasa + Endless Walk) (Mid Tier) Speed Farming Variation Gargantuan Helltooth Witch Doctor (Helltooth + Endless Walk) (Mid Tier) Speed Farming Variation Zombie Bears Witch Doctor (Helltooth + Endless Walk) (Low Tier) Speed Farming Variation Acid Cloud Witch Doctor (Helltooth + Bastions) (Low Tier) Speed Farming Variation Grasp of the Dead Witch Doctor (Helltooth + Endless Walk) (Low Tier)

Wizrds are the only ones this season to get the two new builds, Hydra-based ones, and the LoD version is a contender for the best build yet, but they did also lose their top build for a long time, with the Bazooka Wiz finally going down after many nerfs.
Archon Wizard (Vyr + Chantodo) (Top Tier) Speed Farming Variation Mammoth Hydra Wizard (Legacy of Dreams Gem) (Top Tier) (New) Frost Hydra Wizard (Typhon's Veil) (High Tier) (New) Meteor Wizard (Firebird + Endless Walk) (High Tier) Speed Farming Variation Tal Rasha Variation Star Pact Variation Frozen Orb Wizard (Delsere + Endless Walk) (High Tier) Energy Twister Wizard (Delsere + Endless Walk) (High Tier) Manald Lightning Archon Wizard (Tal Rasha + Vyr) (Mid Tier) Group Progression Variation Solo Progression Variation Archon Wizard (Firebird + Chantodo + Endless Walk) (Mid Tier) Speed Farming Variation Arcane Torrent Manald Wizard (Tal Rasha + Endless Walk) (Mid Tier) Electrocute Variation Spectral Blade Variation Arcane Orbit Wizard (Delsere + Endless Walk) (Low Tier) Speed Farming Variation Explosive Blast Farming Wizard (Tal Rasha + Sage) (Low Tier) Greater Rifting Variation
