We have some more additions to the ever growing list of class changes coming in 8.3, and today Mistweaver Monks, Holy Paladins and especially Discipline Priests get some tweaks. You can also check out the full list of upcoming class changes below.

We also got news on the Mythic+ Season 4 item level increase, as well as some potential 8.3 pet battle tweaks. You can always check out all the info on 8.3: Visions of N'zoth in our content hub as well.

I’ve added the following to the OP:

In the case of Rising Mist Rising Mist, we’re now testing a 33% healing increase, and we were previously testing a 66% healing increase.

With Shadow Word: Pain Shadow Word: Pain , we were already testing this change for Shadow only, and we’ve now added the change to Discipline.

In our next major content update, Visions of N’Zoth, we’re working on some tuning updates to a few specs that are under- and over-performing in various ways.

Developers’ notes: Specs which excel at DoTs on multiple targets have, over the course of many tiers of content, generally had very high performance on the average. Their DPS advantage in raid encounters that play into their multi-target strength (which are relatively common) is not balanced by a comparable disadvantage in other areas. A small reduction in damage on these specs will leave them noticeably strong in the situations in which they’re strong (albeit slightly less than before), and give other specs more opportunity to stand out at other times. At the same time, a few of the Essences added in Rise of Azshara are not performing as well as we would have liked, so we’re increasing the effectiveness of some parts of them to help keep them competitive with the other Essences available.

With the first build of the update on our Public Test Realm (PTR), you will see the following changes:

    Classes

    • Druid
    • Mage
      • Frost
        • Ice Lance Ice Lance damage increased by 20%.
          • Developers’ note: Ice Lance Ice Lance damage hasn’t kept up with Icicles scaling, making builds that ignore Ice Lance Ice Lance possible. The intent of this change is to give Frost Mages a better incentive to use Ice Lance within their rotation, as a DPS net gain.
    • Monk
      • Brewmaster
        • Stamina bonus reduced to 30% (was 35%).
        • Stagger percentage reduced to 90% of Agility (was 105%).
        • High Tolerance High Tolerance now increases the effectiveness of Stagger by 5% (was 8%).
          • Developers’ notes: Brewmaster’s extremely high effective health against Physical damage meant that they are rarely in danger against spike damage that threatens other tanks. This should still be a strength of Brewmaster, but not by such a wide margin.
        • Fixed a bug causing Gift of the Ox Gift of the Ox orbs to spawn too often for players with high amounts of Stamina.
      • Mistweaver
        • Rising Mist Rising Mist healing increased 30% 66% 33%, and now extends Heal-over-time effects by 3 4 seconds (was 2 seconds).
          • Developers’ note: This talent is currently overshadowed on its row, and we want to make sure it’s competitive enough to make its unique playstyle a viable option.
        • Life Cocoon Life Cocoon now absorbs for 55% of the caster’s maximum health (was 1100% of the caster’s spellpower). [Coming in a future PTR build]
          • Developers’ note: This ability had gotten weaker compared to player health pools since the start of the expansion, and this will help it better maintain its value.
      • Windwalker
        • Rising Sun Kick Rising Sun Kick damage increased by 25%.
        • Blackout Kick Blackout Kick damage increased by 10%.
          • Developers’ note: These changes are intended to help Windwalkers perform better in single-target fights.
    • Paladin
      • Holy
        • Glimmer of Light Glimmer of Light (Azerite Trait) healing reduced 12%
        • Glimmer of Light Glimmer of Light (Azerite Trait) may now be applied to a maximum of 8 targets.
          • Developers’ notes: Over the past year, builds centered around this trait have steadily pulled ahead of all other Holy Paladin playstyles, and to some extent all other healers in high-end content. This change is meant to preserve the gameplay of the trait, but limit the ability to increase its value drastically by stacking every possible bonus that reduces Holy Shock cooldown
    • Priest
      • Discipline
        • Purge the Wicked Purge the Wicked damage reduced 10%.
        • Power Word: Solace Power Word: Solace damage reduced 10%.
        • Shadow Word: Pain Shadow Word: Pain damage reduced 9%.
        • Atonement Atonement healing reduced to 50% (was 55%).
        • Mastery: Grace Mastery: Grace effectiveness increased by 12%.
          • Developers’ notes: Discipline’s ability to contribute both damage and healing is slightly too high for what one character can bring to a group composition. At the same time, we’re making their Mastery stat slightly more attractive.
        • Schism Schism now increases damage done from Priest spells and abilities only.
          • Developers’ notes: This is intended to be consistent with other class cooldowns.
      • Shadow
    • Warlock
      • Affliction
        • Deathbolt Deathbolt now deals 20% of the total remaining damage of the Warlock’s damage over time effects on the target (was 30%).
        • Drain Soul Drain Soul damage increased by 50%.
        • Nightfall Nightfall now increases the damage of Shadow Bolt by 50% (was 25%), and now activates 33% more often.
          • Developers’ notes: One of the key concepts about Affliction Warlock is spreading damage over time spells on a number of different targets. While Deathbolt Deathbolt keys off these types of spells, it provides more-than-expected burst damage and outperforms the other two talents in every situation. In addition to reducing Deathbolt Deathbolt’s effectiveness, we’re improving the other two options to give more options to Affliction Warlocks.

    Essences

    • Worldvein Resonance Worldvein Resonance
      • Major rank 1, when used, now additionally causes you to gain +50% bonus to stats from Lifeblood Shards for 10 seconds.
    • Vision of Perfection Vision of Perfection
      • Proc rate increased by 12%.
    • The Unbound Force The Unbound Force
      • Major rank 1 damage increased by 40%.
      • Minor rank 1 duration increased to 4 seconds (was 3 seconds).
      • Minor rank 3 increase of duration increased to 2 seconds (was 1 second).
    • Purification Protocol Purification Protocol
      • Major rank 1 damage increased by 15%.
      • Major rank 2 now has the potential work on targets that are part of raid and dungeon encounters.
    • Vitality Conduit Vitality Conduit
      • We’ve rebuilt the way this Essences works, and it should be visually more impactful, as you will now see healing on your targets.

As always, changes like these are a work in progress. We are likely to make further adjustments for testing throughout the PTR.

Thank you very much for your testing and feedback!

    • Thanks 1

Today's hotfixes are still very Plunderstorm-heavy, but we do get fixes for more achievement-related mount issues and PvP catch-up, in addition to the limited time event's adjustments.
        March 27 (Source)
        Achievements
Fixed bugs causing mounts related to A World Awoken to be unavailable, including Bestowed Ottuk Vanguard, Bestowed Trawling Mammoth, Bestowed Thunderspine Packleader, Bestowed Sandskimmer, Bestowed Ohuna Spotter, Coralscale Salamanther, Stormtouched Bruffalon, and Taivan. Player versus Player
Fixed an issue that prevented Splintered Sparks of Dreams from dropping from PvP sources while eligible for catch-up. Plunderstorm
The Storm’s fury swells! Lightning strikes during the final stage of the Storm are faster and more dangerous than before. There is now a delay of 20 seconds after being revived where players no longer drop collected Plunder. Additional enemies now spawn at Witherbark Village, the wild area northeast of Go’Shek Farm, and the wild area between Witherbark Village and Boulderfist Hall. Fixed an issue where swapping back to default sword and gun appearances were not saving correctly. Fixed an issue so that now, picking up an additional rank 2 spell while the same rank 2 spell is equipped properly grants the rank 4 version of the spell. The Captain’s Orders quest “X Marks the Spot” now requires 1 item to be picked up (was 2 items).

Well that didn't take long! We found out someone had broken the 700,000 Plunder milestone yesterday evening, and we're already done with the full amount now! Soularpower_ managed to grind it out a couple of hours ago in duos, and grabbed the Plunderkind achievement, so huge congratulations! It's been a week and a day since the event was released, and despite there being plenty of Plunder drop buffs since then it's still great to see someone get it all done already.

Unsurprisingly, the first thing Soularpower_ after reaching that goal was... play more Plunderstorm! He's actually still at it if now you want to check the stream out.

Here's our first post-patch look at the Mythic+ log rankings. While the patch didn't really touch any of the DPS or tank specs, there's still some movement there, especially in the raw DPS chart. Healers got some solid changes in the patch, and the definitely had an effect.
        Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
        All Keys
        95th percentile DPS
The top percentiles are extremely stable, which makes sense since the patch didn't really bring any significant changes for DPS specs. We have to go down to number 7 to see the first bit of movement, as Destruction moves two up, leaving its fellow Warlock down in 9th, as Arms gets between them, gaining 3 spots. Havoc closes out the top 10 three down, and right behind it we find the newly buffed Elemental moving three up. While Augmentation is being properly calculated, we still find an Evoker in the bottom 3, as Devastation drops one down and takes Marksmanship's place.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
        All Percentiles
It took Shadow a little longer to get into the top in the generalist bracket, as we find it in 3rd now, pushing Outlaw down one. Balance also moves up, 2 spots into 6th, as it and Arms take advantage of Havoc's fall. The Demon Hunter finds itself 3 down in 9th, while Fury remains stable at the very end of the top 10.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
        Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
While Outlaw remains at the top, pretty much everything's changing beneath it. Shadow and Retribution joined forces and moved two up together, breaking into the top 3. Fire is also on the rise, gaining 3 spots, and right behind it we find another big leaper, as Arms moves a whopping 5 spots up.
Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

        All Percentiles Tank (Points)
There's actually some solid movement here, as we see Paladin take 2nd away from DK and Druid take Monk down, with Warrior remaining in last place and DH being far ahead of the pack.
Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
        Healer (Points)
Healers had some significant changes with the patch, but it hasn't stopped Monk from remaining at the top. Druid moves into 2nd, taking Discipline Priest down a peg, and it seems the Holy Priest patch reworks helped it out, as it gains a spot in 4th.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs and u.gg. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides, as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.

In Dragonflight Season 4, Awakened/Fated raids will be on a weekly rotation.
Upon accessing the Adventure Guide and navigating to the Raids section, you'll notice a green gem icon beside the raid that's Awakened for the current week.

When a raid is Awakened, bosses are more powerful and loot drops are upgraded to a higher item level. The upcoming season revisits the Fated system introduced in Shadowlands Season 4.

We've already taken a look at all the items coming to the Trading Post next month, as the Season 4 PTR revealed them, but now let's see them in movement as well! MrGM has detailed everything coming in April, from the awesome Dreadwake mount to a pretty cool polearm, some new capes, and all the other pirate-themed items. Let's take a look.

If you'd rather just scroll through some images, you can head on to our original post here.
