Nathanos Blightcaller Spotted on Shadowlands Alpha

Nathanos has been recently spotted on Alpha located in Eastern Plaguelands. What fate awaits the Champion of the Banshee Queen? Spoilers.

In Shadowlands Alpha 34081, Blizzard added Nathanos Blightcaller to the table of dungeon encounters, so we speculated that he will be a boss in either a dungeon or the upcoming Castle Nathria raid.

Recently, Nathanos was spotted on Alpha located near his home in Eastern Plaguelands (The Marris Stead). He is currently labeled as "Boss", with two pets (Plaguefang and Blight-Howl) standing by his side.

World bosses are mostly tied to new zones, and so it does not make sense for Nathanos to be an outdoor boss in Shadowlands, and he is most likely tied to some sort of Shadowlands pre-patch event, where we try to track down Sylvanas and end up finding the Blightcaller before heading to Shadowlands.

Nathanos also has a new set of crigeworthy sound files/line and there is a small RP that plays when you come in range.

Quote

Well, well, well. If it isn't Azeroth's mightiest "champions".

Congratulations! You've managed to track me to the most unlikely of places... my very own home.

Seeking retribution for all the bad, bad things I've done, I suppose? How frightfully predictable.

I've been waiting a long time for this. Let's get on with it, shall we?

Are you looking forward to finally kill Nathanos?

Really wish the interaction would be an RP type thing, like we got for those who wanted to stay loyal to Sylvanas, but I doubt that will happen. Such a shame, he was one of my favorite characters.

Those lines....

Haha

I've grown quite fond of him over the course of BFA. His lines are simple, but I like his actor's delivery. Plus his story has been trackable and understandable unlike, uh, everybody else.

Is this as intended? World bosses are mostly tied to new zones, so it doesn't make sense for Blightcaller to be in Shadowlands where the new zones are, and he's most likely to be in the prepatch event before the new zones are released?

I'd guess prepatch too, but I can't quite wrap my head around that paragraph. ?

Would be sad to see him go. Quite loyal to his "queen" but not without second thoughts whats her madness is all about.

Love that short second of hesitation when he got the order to burn the world tree. As loyal as he seems, but this was too extreme even for him, but of course he will always do what "she" wants.

Hot take real definitely not fake leak:

Nathanos Blightcaller found listening to emo break up music and, after putting up a sad pity-me song and dance, reveals that Sylvanas has abandoned him like the rest of the Horde to travel to Northrend.

He is deemed to pathetic to kill and later returns as a raid boss. Upon reaching 4% health, Sylvanas crashes the party, Nathanos begs for her love, and she executes him callously in front of us to demonstrate her superiority and lack of interest in our general affairs.

Queue "Barracuda" by Heart, fade to black.

Unless whole zone gets update, in style of Arathi or Darkshore to serve some purpose, I don't see him becoming permanent world boss. Likely as you say, it's going to be some event or quest. And he escapes, so merely a setback before a raid!

Today, we're looking at a video covering some scrapped Warlords of Draenor content.
The video was created by Dovah the Explorer who shows off unused and untextured maps. Zones that were never finished or used for anything in the Warlords of Draenor expansion.
We get to see unfinished zones like Karabor Interior.

There's also an orcish city named Grommar that never went live.

We also see a bunch of prototype garrisons for each zone that never went live, even a Tier 4 one with a cathedral.

You can watch Dovah's video with more scrapped content below.

Blizzard has adjusted the price of Imminence of Krag'wa's Executor to 450 Tender. Players who bought it will be refunded 50 Tender via a hotfix.
Blizzard accidentally set the price of the Imminence of Krag'wa's Executor set to 500. They've released a hotfix that sets the price to 450 Tender. Another hotfix is coming for those who already bought it.
      (Source)
We’ve had a trend of pricing Trading Post class sets at 450 Trader’s Tender, and for the first few days of December, a bug caused the Imminence of Krag’wa’s Executor set to sell for 500 Tender. We’ve now hotfixed the game to set that price at 450, as we originally intended.
If you’ve already purchased the set, please hang tight. We’re working on a second hotfix that will refund you the extra 50 Tender. You don’t have to take any steps. That refund will come as soon as we can implement it this month.
      We apologize for the mix-up.
