We are celebrating the Shadowlands Pre-Patch with 3 weeks of giveaways with myself and Nova Boosting Community! To find out everything you need to know for a chance to win, check out this post.
As many of you may already know, Nova is one of the largest boosting communities on the EU servers and, with new efforts on their part, they are aiming to grow on the US side too. This is great news for all of our US readers as, unlike in our previous giveaways these past weeks, you will have a chance to win some prizes too!
We have partnered up with them to put out 3 separate giveaways over the next 3 weeks, each with a load of prizes for both US and EU players to win.
Currently, the schedule of giveaways is as follows.
The first week's giveaway started today, 19/10/2020, and will run until 25/10/2020, ending at 23:59 CET. For more info on how to enter this week's giveaway, you can check out the tweet below.

This section will have more information added on 02/11/2020, when the third giveaway starts.
Information for Winners
You will be contacted directly on Twitter if you have won, stating which prize you have won. If you already have the mount that you have won, you can give it to someone else, either another contestant or a friend, but only one of you may receive the prize. All of the mounts won will be given to winners via a boost of that respective boss, conducted by the team at Nova and their community. All of the runs have either been paid for by myself or the leadership at Nova with in-game gold or they have been generously gifted by the numerous guilds that make up Nova's community. Both we at Icy Veins and the management team at Nova actively condemn the exchange of real money for services in-game, and have ensured that all of the items in the giveaway, when paid for, are purely offered in exchange for payment with in-game gold. Winners will be selected after each week of the giveaway, to ensure that there is enough time for everyone to be scheduled for their runs. We cannot guarantee any loot beyond the mounts from each boss on your runs with Nova; it is at the discretion of Nova and how the runs are organised as to how normal loot will be distributed. We wish you all the best of luck should you enter, and, if you don't manage to win this time, we'll have plenty more giveaways running after Shadowlands releases!

The community isn't particularly happy with how dungeons are handled right now through Chromie Time, and most think the 15-minute wait time before the expanded dungeon search kicks in needs to be removed.
After you select an expansion for leveling in the Shadowlands pre-patch, you will be locked to that expansion's dungeons. You must wait 15 minutes in a queue before the search expands to dungeons from other expansions, but players aren't happy with that. The problem mainly concerns DPS, as healer and tank queues are almost instant.
Many players are voicing their concerns with the system over on Reddit. The consensus is to remove the timer altogether and let everyone level in dungeons from all expansions.
We've seen many examples of the pre-patch level squish acting weirdly and bugging out, but now we have probably the worst outcome of it, and one that isn't necessarily unintended. So what is the worst outcome of the level squish?
Logging in to an old character and finding out literally all their gear now has a significantly higher level requirement than the character's squished level. This happened to Albinofreaken on a Boomkin, but the reason for it actually kind-of-sort-of makes sense.
So how did this happen? Well, the Druid in question was a twink back in Legion, and was using max level epic gear (around 840++, depending on war/titanforging) on a character that just started Legion (was level 101 with the expansion cap was 110). The own even went so far as to use cloth items due to their higher item level. And so when the game squished the levels the poor owl became level 40, but the items went to 45 due to their high item level!
And so the Druid twink has become one of the casualties of the squish, as he can't ever be that 101 with incredible gear again, and even if he does level to 45. Albinofreaken also talked about his general reason/passion for twinks in general, explaining how it's a bit of a bummer that they're not as they used to be:
