Blizzard has posted a to-do list of things to complete before Shadowlands goes live.

You can find all that and more on our to-do list!

Blizzard Logo(Source)

When Sylvanas Windrunner shatters the veil between worlds, you’ll be leaving Azeroth behind—at least for a time. But before you journey to the Shadowlands, you may want to spend your remaining moments in the mortal realms seeking out a few rewards that will no longer be obtainable (or will be more difficult to acquire) in the next expansion.

Read on for the full list, and make sure to collect everything you’ve been eyeing before time runs out.

Going Away with Shadowlands Launch

How to Claim Your Dragon

When Azeroth’s heroes depart for the Shadowlands, the last vestiges of N’Zoth the Corruptor will fade away—and the “Lost Flight” quest, which rewards the Uncorrupted Voidwing Uncorrupted Voidwing mount, will vanish along with him.

Uncorrupted Voidwing

Uncorrupted Voidwing

To earn: Enter the raid Ny’alotha, the Waking City on Heroic difficulty and defeat N’Zoth the Corruptor. You’ll want to be around 445 item level and be accompanied by at least 15 others in gear of similar quality to take down the Old God.

Upon defeating N’Zoth, you’ll loot an item that grants you the “Lost Flight” quest, which can be turned in for your Uncorrupted Voidwing Uncorrupted Voidwing.

You can further prepare for the climatic final boss in Battle of Azeroth by watching the N’Zoth the Corruptor FatbossTV guide.

TIPAshjra'kamas, Shroud of Resolve Ashjra'kamas, Shroud of Resolve is a must-have for all members of your raid group when fighting N’Zoth the Corruptor. Those without the legendary cloak will succumb to an instant mind-control mechanic, becoming a Servant of N’Zoth who will ravage your raid. Follow our guide to obtain your legendary cloak.

Estimated time: 2 hours

If you need aid, some fellow heroes in the community are willing to help those who want to earn their Uncorrupted Voidwing Uncorrupted Voidwing. Check out the list below, and read their guidelines to find out how to participate.

Your Heart Only for Azeroth

The Heart of Azeroth, the legendary necklace you’ve kept close to your own hearts, derives its power from your connection to Azeroth. You’ll find that connection weakens when you step foot into areas or instances not introduced in Battle for Azeroth, severing features that derive power from it—Essences and Azerite Traits. The potency of these powers will reactivate whenever you return to eligible regions and instances (e.g. Horrific Visions.

Your Essences Preferences

If you’re trying to collect the prestigious title Azeroth’s Champion, be sure to add earning the achievement Phenomenal Cosmic Power Phenomenal Cosmic Power to your list of things to do, as all Rank 4 Essences can no longer be earned once Shadowlands strikes.

To earn: Infuse the Heart of Azeroth with all available Essences from the Rise of Azshara update for any role at Rank 4.!

Going Away with Shadowlands Pre-Patch

Mind-Blowing Mount

The prestige achievement Battle for Azeroth Keystone Master: Season Four Battle for Azeroth Keystone Master: Season Four and its reward the Awakened Mindborer Awakened Mindborer mount will only be available to earn prior to the release of Shadowlands. To earn the achievement and mount, you must complete all Battle for Azeroth Season Four dungeons at Mythic Level 15 or higher, within the time limit.

Unsure of your current progress? See which Keystones you need to complete by checking your progress in the Mythic Keystone section in the Group Finder (default hotkey: i).

Extinction Event

Mighty Caravan Brutosaur
Mighty Caravan Brutosaur

Just like the real dinosaurs that once walked our own earth, the Reins of the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur Mighty Caravan Brutosaur ’s days in Azeroth are numbered. Once the Shadowlands pre-patch goes live, the shady vendors Talutu and Tricky Nick will cease selling it, and the accompanying Feat of Strength Conspicuous Consumption Conspicuous Consumption will no longer be obtainable. The Mighty Caravan Brutosaur mount will then trek from its Battle for Azeroth vendors to the Black Market Auction House where it can show up occasionally as a purchasable mount for players to bid on.

To earn: Purchase for 5,000,000 gold from Talutu in Grand Bazaar, Dazar’alor (Horde) or Tricky Nick in Hook Point, Boralus (Alliance).

Corruption Cleansed

With the Black Empire turned to ash, the Old Gods’ power of Corruption will wither away once the Shadowlands pre-patch goes live. Your Corruption-tainted items will shed away their dark power, leaving your gear in its pure form. With Corruption no longer a threat, the Corruption Resistance found on certain Essences and your legendary cloak will also dissipate.

Utter Madness

One of the more challenging achievements to arise in Visions of N’Zoth—Mad World Mad World—will no longer be acquirable once the pre-patch goes live. If you successfully earn the Feat of Strength, you’ll be granted a fitting title, “the Faceless One.”

To earn: Complete all objectives in the Horrific Visions of Stormwind and Orgrimmar in a single visit while not in a party and with all 5 Faceless Masks active.

Changing of the Seasons

The current PvP Season will end with the pre-patch, taking with it all of the usual earnable rewards for eligible players who end the season in the top 0.1% of the 3v3 arena ladder. To commemorate this feat, these elite players will earn the Corrupted Gladiator title, Corrupted Gladiator’s Tabard, and the Corrupted Gladiator mount.

Top of the Class

Just as with previous raids at the end of an expansion, the Ahead of the Curve and Cutting Edge achievements for defeating N’Zoth the Corruptor on Heroic and Mythic difficulties will go away at the beginning of pre-patch. In addition to earning limited-time achievements, you’ll also get your Uncorrupted Voidwing and—for those seeking to get Cutting Edge—have a chance to get the Ny’alotha Allseer mount for defeating N’Zoth on Mythic difficulty.

Difficulty Increasing When Shadowlands Launches

Some mounts and achievements will become more difficult to acquire due to drop rates changing or requirements going away with Shadowlands.

Mythic Mounts

When you sail away from Battle for Azeroth, the current guaranteed drop rate for the Glacial Tidestorm Glacial Tidestorm and Ny'alotha Allseer Ny'alotha Allseer mounts will significantly decrease, and the amount of dropped mounts will decrease to one (currently two).

Glacial Tidestorm

Glacial Tidestorm

Glacial Tidestorm Glacial Tidestorm: Defeat Mythic Lady Jaina Proudmoore in Battle of Dazar’alor on Mythic difficulty. You’ll need 20 players total to enter the raid, and it’s recommended that all players are 415 item level or higher. You can further prepare for Mythic Lady Jaina Proudmoore by watching the Mythic Lady Jaina Proudmoore FatbossTV guide.

Ny'alotha Allseer

Ny’alotha Allseer

Ny'alotha Allseer Ny'alotha Allseer: Defeat Mythic N’Zoth the Corruptor in Ny’alotha, the Waking City on Mythic difficulty. You’ll need 20 players total to enter the raid, and it’s recommended that all players are 470 item level or higher. You can further prepare for Mythic N’Zoth the Corruptor by watching the Mythic N’Zoth Complexity Limit guide.

Please note that the corresponding Cutting Edge: N'Zoth the Corruptor Cutting Edge: N'Zoth the Corruptor achievement will no longer be available to earn once Shadowlands goes live.

As these instances are both Mythic difficulty, we expect defeating Mythic Jaina Proudmoore and Mythic N’Zoth will still require a fair amount of coordination to defeat in Shadowlands—so if you want either of these mounts, you may want to consider taking advantage of the guaranteed drop rate.

There are also some heroes in the community who are willing to help those who want to earn their Glacial Tidestorm or Ny’alotha Allseer mounts—check out their information below!

Depends entirely on Blizzard's part to be honest if you think about it.  Your die hard collectors will probably spend from 5-10M+ for bid wars if the mount is up on the Auction Block along with random availability.  But there maybe just a small handful of people in doing so.  Others may just retain the gold and wait for the new gold sink mount to be featured in the new expansion if said mount is going to be exhibiting the same features. eg) Auction House vendor.

I, myself have not found the urge to save that much gold to buy the Brutosaur Mount.  It is pretty and it is unique but the price tag is a bit steep to my liking and I tend to fork over Gold in other ventures/venues.

I'm not so sure about that. If you have the means to get 5 mil gold, why would you wait until the mount will be up for bids instead of just buying it for the flat price? Bidders will be those who *couldn't* manage to get that much gold.

Because some people that are just now joining BFA (or new to WoW) to start off in Shadowlands don't have that much gold starting out and are trying to fit in to increase their revenue.  so they won't automatically have the gold right off the bat unless they are willing to slide that credit card.

That doesn't explain how they would be able to bid 5-10mil. Just more of us poorer people to bid lower against. I think bidding for the mount when it shows up will be brisk up to, say, 4mil, then begin to slow, and stop ~5. Because people with 5+mil already bought the thing.

You forget that players can be just a-holes and bid whatever they want I doubt that it will be below 4M to be sure those with the lowest pocketbook don't get the mount.  This isn't just bid one time and get 100% of the prize.  And Blizzard will not put a restriction like that on an item that will be going up on the Black Market Auction system.  It's a far more riskier gold drain (for the player) move than just buying the mount up front now before it goes to that venue.  And you can't expect to always see this Mount up for bidding when most items that get put up are random.

This "ahead of the curve" made me quit the game for a year. I couldn't afford the prices for the "Violet Spellwing" and it was impossible to find anyone willing to offer a run at a discount. Now they are doing the same thing with the "Uncorrupted voidwing". Not all WOW players can afford hundreds of thousands of gold for a single mount. I sure as HELL couldn't afford that Brutosaurus mount after playing on and off since Vanilla. This doesn't encourage a lot of players to continue when they can't attain special items. Make them loot for achievements.

I may be one of the minority - but I would hope my opinion would count since I've been here since Vanilla.

There are groups doing free/charity runs. I've gotten two AOTC mounts that way, never paid for one. This time I decided to get back into raiding because I prefer to pull my own weight and earn it rather than just get lucky in a random draw.

But those mounts aren't meant to be easy to get. Although I'm entirely against making mounts limited-time-only, I'm also cool with there being some I will never get. It takes some mental adjustment, but it's a lot healthier way to deal with the game.

Blizzard is rolling back the changes made to the Destruction Warlock's Inferno in Patch 10.2.7 due to unintended scaling reductions.
Inferno will be redesigned in the War Within expansion to address how Destruction scales in power in relation to target count.
      (Source)
      Hello, Destruction Warlocks.
With the release of 10.2.7 yesterday, the scaling of Inferno became heavily reduced when Rain of Fire affects more than 5 targets. We investigated this, and found it was a change that was originally implemented with Shadowlands Season 4, and later became unintentionally broken with the launch of Dragonflight and went unnoticed.
With the release of 10.2.7, the reduced scaling was inadvertently fixed when unrelated changes were made.
Considering the timing of this, we’re going to remove the reduced scaling. In The War Within, we plan to redesign Inferno to address how Destruction scales in power in relation to target count.
Thank you for the reports regarding this issue and we hope to have the fix implemented soon.

With the release of Dark Heart, Blizzard has not only reverted Taivan to his former size, but also added new animations for the goodest boy!
We've got some great news for Taivan owners. Blizzard not only brought his size up, but also added unique animations for the mount. Previously, Taivan was using wolf mount animations. Now his running animation and /mountspecial is different from what we've seen before the update!

Many players took to Reddit to share the new size of the goodest boy!

Here we are looking at week 2 of Season 4, just before the patch 10.2.7 tuning! While the raids change every week and the rankings drastically shift with them, the dungeons remain the same and we get a lot more stability, so let's take a look.
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
The top 4 remain the same, but we do see Frost Mage on the rise right after that, taking down Outlaw for 5th. Retribution is much improved this week, gaining 5 spots in 7th, with Devastation joining the Paladin on its upward trip, with a very stable Elemental sandwiched between them. Arms closes out the top 10 one spot down.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
The generalist bracket is less stable, as we see a change at No.4 already, with Destruction moving 2 up and pushing Outlaw down. Retribution is on a wild ride here as well, 4 up in 6th, while Frost is slowly making its way upward right behind the Paladin. Arms is actually moving up here unlike in the top percentiles, one up in 8th, just in front of a falling Subtlety and a rising Devastation.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Destruction remains in power in the raw DPS charts, while its fellow Warlock drops down quite a bit as Shadow claims the silver. Elemental rises 2 spots into 3rd just ahead of the unstoppable Retribution, which finds itself 7 up! The rest is mostly the same, just making room for the newcomers, with Unholy closing out the top 10 three spots up.
Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs and u.gg. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides, as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.

Mythic Jaina is now easier to solo in Patch 10.2.7, and there have been some tweaks to G'huun as well!
According to numerous Reddit reports, Mythic Jaina is easier to solo with the launch of Dark Heart.
In the off-boat phase, she won’t freeze you anymore, which is a relief since that mechanic was the main cause of deaths during solo attempts.
Mythic Jaina has a 1% chance to drop Glacial Tidestorm, a sought-after Water Elemental mount.

The Conclave of the Chosen in the Dazar'alor raid seems to have been fixed too; you won’t be permanently silenced anymore. However, Rastakhan is still capable of one-shotting players, but his totems no longer zombify.
Updates to G'huun in Uldir mean that the orbs no longer slow or root you, nor do they give you a debuff. Yet, you still need to deposit them simultaneously.
So far, there's no new information on Mythrax in Uldir, who remains notoriously difficult to solo. We'll keep you updated with more details soon!

It seems the new patch brought with it quite a few issues, and the latest players have been noticing is a lack of upgrade rewards in Mythic0 dungeons.
This has been happening since patch launch, as neither crests nor flightstones are given as rewards, and Mythic0 is the only source for the Drake level mats in dungeons (you can get them from Normal raids as well). There is a way to still get Drakes from dungeons, however, as NartheRaytei points out, since you can cap out on Wyrm crests and then start receiving Drakes after that.

It seems only Mythic0 is affected for sure, although there have been a few reports of issues with Heroic as well, but those may have been incorrect. Hopefully this issue gets resolved soon.
