wow Swapping and Rejoining Covenants in Shadowlands

You can now swap Covenants on the Shadowlands Beta. If you want to go from Covenant A to Covenant B, C, or D, it will be simple and a matter of seconds, but if you decide to rejoin your former Covenant, you will have to prove your worth first, which will be time-consuming.

Covenant Swapping

Free swapping between Covenants will not be possible in Shadowlands. The good news is there's no penalty when you pick one Covenant and later decide to join another one.

The game asks you three times if you truly wish to leave your current Covenant and join a new one, so there's no chance you will change Covenants by mistake.

Another confirmation box pops up, asking you if you're absolutely sure to leave your current Covenant.

When you pick a different Covenant, you must swear loyalty to them and visit that Covenant's Sanctum.

Rejoining a Covenant

Rejoining a Covenant will be more difficult. You must earn back their trust and prove your worth. Note that if you rejoin a Covenant, your Renown Levels will not reset.

We are currently not sure what you must do to rejoin a Covenant, as you receive a placeholder quest on the Beta.

I honestly have no problem with being tied into your cov for the whole expansion. Dont even mind the conduits that come with each, however, I have a big issue with the cov ability being locked in all xpac. It punishes multi roll players or people that just play different content on 1 toon. It also locks you into a ability that ultimately could be useless from one tier, to god like in the next. I really wish they would just pull back on this 1 issue

Kinda wish they would just limit the covenant signatures to open world and Torghast.

Indeed, also even if someone picks one that is most useful, next patch could change it into something weak.

I just dont get blizz these days... Yea sure covenants are cool "Go team A, and screw you team B"... But we already have that with horde vs. alliance. And we all know that one power will prove to way better than all the others, so either you're on team edward or you'll suck with the rest of the wolf boys...
