Scripe (RL of Method/ GM of Echo) Admits Real Money Trading

Recommended Posts

Scripe, the Raid Leader of Method and Guild Master of Echo, admitted he was involved in real money trading with the Gallywix boosting community.

Blizzard recently suspended some members of the Gallywix boosting community that were involved in exchanging gold for real money.

Today, Scripe confirmed that he decided to buy gold directly from Gallywix instead of buying WoW tokens, and the agreed exchange rate was apparently 50 USD/EUR for 1 million gold, based on the following spreadsheet posted on Reddit.

For the World First Ny'alotha Race progression when there was no Corruption Vendor, Method needed to buy BoE items with the best Corruption Effects for millions of gold across all servers and transfer them to Tarren Mill.

The total expenses for BoE items and WoW tokens came to a whopping 128,473,245 gold, and you can find a list of all items the guild purchased here.

Core members of Method raid team have reformed as Echo and the guild is lead by Scripe.

Damn, looks like my post about Echo became relevant so soon. It certainly doesn't leave a good impression, and it happening just after reforming their guild.

Sketchy. Bet there's already massive arguments about it going on. On the one hand 'the system is broken, it's Blizzard's fault'. On the other, 'buying gold to get advantage is scum' (and there's little else in the game that is so clearly P2W). And then you get the fact that tokens are available, so does that even matter? And then they could have bought tokens, but went for the sketchier route instead. And then the fact they bought it from these Gallywix chumps as opposed to Random Chinese Farmer no. 8250285...

Hey, skip the reddit threads. Get your internet arguments right here.

Afaik, they did that because there is some limit on how much tokens one can buy per week. Looks like simply buying it from gold sellers was a faster option for them.

Huh,you're right. For anyone else that's curious there's a blue post at the bottom of the wiki page:

https://wow.gamepedia.com/WoW_Token

It goes on to say the 'overall maximum' was removed in 2017. I'm not 100% lear what particular maximum they mean by that, and the source is now a dead link, but I think they mean the last one -- a maximum of 10 tokens in your character's inventories at one time. That'd leave the limit of 10 tokens per week purchased for gold, for Method's purposes.

According to the higher up members of gallywix most of the top 10 guilds were RMT. Limit didn't do it due to them being banned in a previous tier for RMT which caused them to miss out on it but yeah I don't think this is a big deal considering RMT has been the worst kept secret in wow. Theres even comments from a former Blood Legion player who said they actively spoke to devs about doing RMT at blizzcon and people only got banned if they publicly advertised it and it only became an actual issue to blizz when they released the tokens.

And these guys get free beta keys.... so messed up! People who RMT should be suspended/banned regardless of their rank in the game. It's not fair and actually is a violation of their own terms by giving these players special privileges because they are top 10 in the world. Talk about an unfair advantage! Blizzard has no problem permanently banning or suspending players for less offences why should these guys be treated any different?

A good way to earn money, but not the easiest. It seems to me that the creators of the game do not care who to take money from. You will need to invest a lot of money to make this site work. It is not so easy to create such a game and make it popular, for this you need a good brain. To make the game attractive to your users, you need to make a convenient, simple site so that everything is clear to everyone. Plus, you will need to think about advertising so that people will know about your site. In quarantine, when my wife was out of work, I had to find side hustle urgently. I went the easier way, I started taking extra job as an accountant and did this work from home, for which I was paid by the hour.

Here's another nice addition to the game coming in the new expansion, with some really interesting mole mounts being added! Keyboardturn found all their variations and their mount special animations as well, so let's take a look.
      And here's the mount special:

Unfortunately ground mounts are getting very out-classed with the Dynamic Riding feature, but we're still hoping for that rumored dynamic ground mounts feature! Perhaps these could dig down and move below ground?

Game Director Ion Hazzikostas has confirmed that the Dracthyr race will have more class options in The War Within. However, this feature may not be ready in time for the expansion's launch.
This update was highlighted in a tweet by MrGM, who shared insights from a London content creator interview about the Dracthyr.
The plan is to introduce the ability for Dracthyr to play as other classes in War Within. Emphasis on playing in Visage form. Required animations for other classes are actively being worked on. The implementation is unlikely to happen at launch, but targeted for early in the expansion cycle. Placeholder for tweet 1780748422066188399
