Game Master Marrekwethir, at your service. Thank you very much for your patience as your ticket traveled here. :]

I'm sorry to hear you ran into some trouble with looting the cache at the end of your Mythic+ dungeon! I know those runs take a lot of time and effort each week, and it's always a pain to walk away without reward for your work. I hope I can help clarify what happened here.

In cases when you can see the cache, but you cannot open it, your character was not eligible for loot due to not being tapped for the final boss kill. This typically happens when your character disconnects or dies and releases spirit, but does not get back to tap the boss again before the rest of the group finishes the kill.As much as I wish there were more I could do to help out with this, we Game Masters are unable to manually generate loot from these caches. I know it's not the answer you had hoped for, so I do truly appreciate your understanding!

Thank you again for bringing this to my attention today. I hope this helps you along your way!!

apparently ya'll dont read tickets  we didnt recieve the loot cause the boss rezan glitched and i have visual proof  stop sending form letters  here is a screen shot

Thank you for contacting Blizzard Entertainment Customer Support! I'm Game Master Draechsam and I'll be looking into this for you today.

I see that you are having an issue with being unable to loot your Mythic+ cache at the end of a Atal run due to Rezan glitching. After investigating your claim, it would seem that there is aren't any reports of this having a bug. At least, nothing has been discovered yet.

If you would please submit an in-game bug report with any information related to your inability to loot the chest due to credit not being earned, this would greatly be appreciated and it would help us gather the information we need. To cover all our bases here, I've gone ahead and shot up a report myself. Even though I've gone and done that, it's extremely important due to the fact that this report you send gives way more information than my own. The system actually takes a snapshot of what is going on in the game, including things that we on our end can not see such as buffs and debuffs. The more information, the better.  We've set up forums that our Quality Assurance department uses to track ongoing issues. You can reach them by using the following page:
I completely get how frustrating this can be, especially when you've done this before with no issues. I honestly wish there was more I could do for you at moment, but right now it's in the hand's of the developers and when they can fix this issue. I know they are actively working on a patches to get fixes for issues like this out as fast as they can. As the previous Game Master mentioned, we're unable to generate the loot that would be received from a Mythic+ cache.

I understand this may not be what you were hoping to hear, but I’m glad I was able to clear things up. I do hope you have a good rest of your day.

not fixed

Specialist Game Master Endrivenna here, hope the day's treating you well so far despite all the crazy going in the world the last several months.

We're sadly unable to step in and see about manually being able to bypass this and see what might have dropped and who might have won what possible item, but hopefully things will be fixed up asap!

As a fellow player, I understand that when you log into game, you would rather spend your time playing the game rather than report issues such as this. I wanted to thank you for reaching out to us and reporting this. I can certainly understand this extremely frustrating to you, as well as others that might have run into this.

My goal as a Game Master and a fellow player is to ensure the best quality service possible. I hope that you will continue to reach out to us if you have any other concerns in the future. We are always here to assist our valued players, such as yourself, with whatever problems they encounter. Thanks again for taking the time to reach out to us.

If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to let us know, and I do hope the rest of your day goes well.

ok you say you want to help yet all u said was i want to help read the original ticket  give me an avenue of how to get it resolved.
sincerely  a 14 year player who has sustained your company who is highly annoyed

Game Master Denvorer here to assist you today and I hope your day is going excellent.

I apologize for any frustrations this situation has caused.  I completely understand that you were doing a Mythic + with a group and killed one of the bosses in there, but it was not registering that you killed that boss which resulted in that timer for that run to expire.

We do try our best to help our fans when we can however, there are cases that we are not able to help and assist since we do not have the log data in order to verify what exactly happened and also our tools may have technical limitations that may prevent us from assisting.  In this case here, we can see the Mythic + run and the bosses that were killed, but we are unable to verify if the timer in that Mythic + had already expired nor can we verify what loot may have been provided in those chest at the end of the time nor are we able to adjust or change a players Mythic keystone.  Unfortunately, we aren't able to randomly give out loot to our fans based on what was reported here since we must have evidence through our logs to allow us to show to our Dev team why we provided the loot this way.

Because of this, we aren't able to do much outside of suggest to submit a bug report to our QA and Dev team on the forums to let them know what you have recently experienced in that dungeon so they can check and make sure that killing Rezan in that dungeon is giving the proper credit to our fans.  You are so far the first to report his happening to us, but I will make sure to report it to the appropriate people on our end in case we receive anymore contacts that this is happening.

Thank you for your time and I hope the rest of your day is enjoyable.

We have no way of fixing this for you (we're not Blizzard), but honestly, I know it's annoying to have this bug out, but it's a M+6 at the end of an expansion. In the time you took to write the multiple tickets, wait, etc., you probably could have cleared another +6.

Don't keep chasing this, just leave it and play. You won't get loot given to you.

Jeff Kaplan today announced he's leaving Blizzard after 19 years. Overwatch leadership has been passed on to Aaron Keller, a Blizzard veteran and founding member of the Overwatch team, who is the new Game Director.
      (Source)
We want to let you know that Jeff Kaplan has decided to leave the company after a long and storied career here, and that Aaron Keller, a Blizzard veteran and founding member of the Overwatch team, will be stepping in as game director.
Aaron has been a critical part of the Overwatch team and a key driver in creating the vision for the game. He helped create Overwatch as an original member of the team, and as an 18-year veteran at Blizzard, he has worked side-by-side with Jeff for a long time, not only in building Overwatch but previously in helping to build WoW as well. A few words from Aaron:
      Greetings, Overwatch Community,
Jeff’s been a great leader, mentor, and friend, and he knows how much we’re going to miss him. I’ve been lucky to work alongside him and the rest of the Overwatch team for many years in building something that continues to inspire people all around the world, and I’m honored to carry the torch forward.
I love Overwatch. From our first pieces of concept art, to the first maps we built, to the first time I was able to run around as Tracer (who at that early point shot laser beams out of her eyes), this game has just clicked with me. I love its inspiring, hopeful, beautiful world worth fighting for. I love its characters—larger than life, colorful, powerful, and global. And most of all, I love the fast, fluid gameplay requiring teamwork, situational awareness, and quick decision making.
I also recognize that making games at Blizzard has always been a group effort and never about just one point of view. Together with the rest of the team I feel fortunate that we have a deep bench of development and creative leaders, numerous veteran Blizzard artists and designers, and some extremely talented new blood as well—along with tons of support throughout the company for the live game and for Overwatch 2.
Speaking of Overwatch 2, development is continuing at a good pace. We have an exceptional vision we’re executing on, the reaction from many of you to the updates we shared at BlizzConline thrilled us, and we have exciting reveals planned for this year and beyond as we ramp to launch. We’ll be sharing more frequent updates about Overwatch 2 progress and new features in the live game with you all very soon.
While I have no pretenses about filling Jeff’s shoes, I’m excited to step into the game director role and continue to be part of a team that’s putting all of its heart, talent, and focus into the next iteration of Overwatch, and I’m honored to continue serving this incredible community.
      -Aaron
We’re also tremendously grateful for Jeff’s contributions over the years. Please see a personal note from Jeff below:
i am leaving Blizzard Entertainment after 19 amazing years.
it was truly the honor of a lifetime to have the opportunity to create worlds and heroes for such a passionate audience. i want to express my deep appreciation to everyone at blizzard who supported our games, our game teams and our players. but i want to say a special thanks to the wonderful game developers that shared in the journey of creation with me.
never accept the world as it appears to be. always dare to see it for what it could be. i hope you do the same.
      gg,
      jeffrey kaplan
You’ll hear more from Aaron and the rest of the Overwatch team soon. In the meantime, please join us in thanking Jeff, and in welcoming Aaron into his new role.

In a somewhat surprising announcement, it seems David Kim has left Blizzard Entertainment earlier today, as spotted by WRHeronkill. After heading up the Diablo 4 systems team since 2017, Kim moved on to the Principal Game Designer role for World of Warcraft in the latter half of 2020, and has now announced he is leaving the company:
In the comments of the post we can see many employees saying goodbye and wishing Kim luck in his future endeavors.
It seems the WoW job either didn't quite work out or, more likely, was just temporary to help ship Shadowlands and get it through the launch period. Kim has been with Blizzard since 2007 and was one of the main architects behind StarCraft 2, in particular the balancing side of the game. After that he moved on to Heroes of the Storm for a while, went back to SC2, and then Diablo 4 where he spend 3 years. It seems he wasn't quite ready to work on Hearthstone and Overwatch, just to get his "worked on all major Blizzard franchises" ticket.
We wish him well in any future endeavors, and will be checking the roster over at Dreamhaven for any new additions periodically.

It seems David Kim is the Jack of all trades in Blizzard, as he's once again moved to a new franchise within the company! The Diablo 4 Lead Systems Designer, who was very front and center at the BlizzCon D4 announcement, has moved to the position of Principal Game Designer for World of Warcraft:
Kim has been moving around a lot, with his longest stint coming from StarCraft 2, where he started at Blizzard back in 2007, jumping in to Heroes of the Storm, back to SC2 and then Diablo 4 most recently.
On the D4 side of things, we're not quite sure what this means, as it seems unlikely the job was "done" and so Kim could move on, and it's a lot more likely he was needed in WoW due to Shadowlands crunch (as he started the job back in September), since it was all hands on deck to get the expansion out the door. It seems likely that Kim will stay in WoW for a while at least, and it's unclear if he'll be returning to Diablo, which doesn't seem like a good thing for the 4th installment, but as it's still a long way away, it might not be that big of an issue. As spotted by Rhykker, his replacement on the D4 team seems to be  Joe Piepiora, who was promoted from within the D4 team.
On the WoW side of things, some players have been complaining about the game having moved towards Diablo systems in the past, with World Quests and especially the RNG nature of loot, so they might not be too happy with this particular move, but Kim has been very good at balance, coming from a very heavy StarCraft background. The Principal Game Designer job title itself means working on the core systems, and if we had to hazard a guess, we'd say classes and their balancing, whether via gear or other systems, might be one of Kim's focuses.

Omar Gonzalez, one of the "creators" of WoW Classic, has left Blizzard for Dreamhaven.
Omar Gonzalez was a WoW engineer responsible for the early advancements of WoW Classic. Omar locked himself away for a few weeks and created an early prototype of Classic, which had a ton of bugs, as mentioned by Ion Hazzikostas in the Wowhead interview, but the game was in a pre-Cataclysm state and had all the original skills and talents.
This made the team feel confident about re-creating the Classic experience.
According to the latest reports, Omar has now left Blizzard Entertainment and joined Secret Door, one of Dreamhaven's studios owned by Mike Morhaime.
