Hunter and Shaman Class Feedback: September 2nd

Recommended Posts

51345-marksmanship-hunter-class-changes-

We have some blue posts on Hunter and Shaman class feedback from the Shadowlands Beta discussing bugs related to Flayed Shot, the Hunter Covenant Ability, and a tooltip error that affects the maximum stacks of Maelstrom Weapon for Enhancement Shamans.

Hunter

Blizzard clarified that several fixes were made to address Harpoon and Focus regen on the Beta last week. Flayed Shot (Venthyr Covenant Ability) requires polearms, but it should work with any weapon equipped, so this is a bug that will be fixed in future builds.

Other bugs include Chimaera Shot not interacting with the Marksmanship Mastery and True Aim not working with Chimaera Shot.

Harpoon still doesn’t work almost anywhere in Beta. Most survival conduits are not in Beta to even test. Focus regen was acknowledged and said would be fixed. 3 weeks and not hotfix.

Some spells require a polearm, some require a ranged weapon and some require a axe, yes an axe.

Several fixes were made in the last week for harpoon. Where is it not currently working for you?
Focus regen should have been hotfixed last week, and the build that was pushed today should correctly have you at 5 Focus per second (before haste).

Which spells are asking for odd weapon requirements?

Flayed shot (venthyr cov ability) requires a polearm specifically while most drops are staves.

Will get Flayed Shot looked into. It should work with basically any weapon equpiped.

Survival Conduits are still not on the vendor to make testing them accessible. Can we get a comment on this? AFAIK, they are the only spec in the game that you can’t just buy the conduits from currently to test.

I don’t specifically know why these would not be on the vendor, but have forwarded it on.

Chimaera Shot still not gaining benefit from MM mastery and not gaining the True Aim benefit as well

Both of these will be fixed in some upcoming build.
edit: referring to Chimaera Shot and MM Mastery, and True Aim not working with Chimaera shot.

Shamans

The current five stacks of Maelstrom Weapon on the Beta are just a tooltip error, and you should still have ten maximum stacks, according to Blizzard. They are also looking into fixing Chain Harvest.

I’m very deeply concerned about this change back to just 5 total stacks of Maelstrom Weapon.

To clarify: this is just a tooltip error. The current build you have should still have a 10 maximum stack of Maelstrom Weapon. In-game, you are probably seeing two different buffs, one that stacks up to 5, and one that stacks up to 10. The one that stacks up to 5 will be hidden in a future build. The Maelstrom Weapon tooltip is just pointing to the wrong place for maximum stacks.

We hear there are some problems with Chain Harvest and this iteration of Maelstrom Weapon, that will be looked into and fixed as well.

We have confirmation that the only way to get the World Boss mounts in Mists of Pandaria Remix is via Bronze!
      World Bosses (Source)
Telinastus: In Remix, yes. But don’t forget that you can go pummel those same bosses on your Dragonflight characters.
A basic rule-of-thumb for Remix is: quests drop their original loot, but bosses do not.

We have an almost quad-feature in the hotfixes today, as retail, Remix and Cataclysm Classic have quite a few improvements, and even Season of Discovery sneaks in with one! From trinket changes in 10.2.7 to cloak achievement and Yak Fur fixes in Remix, class adjustments and double BG honor in Cata, there's plenty to see.

Dungeon speed runs in MoP Remix are getting crazier, with two players completing the Temple of the Jade Serpent in under 30 and 29 seconds, respectively!
SecurePesto has finished Temple of the Jade Serpent with their Level 20 Monk under 30 seconds, beating the previous dungeon record by  nearly 16 seconds.
However, the run didn't get unnoticed, and ConzilF2P's asnwer was in the form of a run that took a little over 28 seconds. It's kind of crazy to see what the folks can do with their Level 20 twinks in MoP Remix!
