wow All WoW Pre-Patch Durations + Shadowlands Pre-Patch Release Date Speculation: September 29th

We looked at all WoW pre-patch durations and think the Shadowlands pre-patch will go live on September 29.

Shadowlands will launch in 7 weeks, which means the pre-patch is close. The official release date has not been revealed yet, but we're still waiting for the two-week end-of-PvP season notice, which did not arrive this week, so it is unlikely we will see the pre-patch go live on September 22.

Pre-Patch Durations

Mists of Pandaria had the longest-running pre-patch in the history of the game. Since then, Blizzard has been reducing pre-patch duration and Battle for Azeroth saw just 28 days of pre-patch time.

Potential Release Date

Currently, we are 48 days away from the Shadowlands launch. If the Shadowlands pre-patch launches September 29, 2020, it will be up for 28 days before the expansion goes live, just like Battle for Azeroth. Chances are we will see a post about the ongoing PvP Season-ending next week.

I have absolutely no interest in another Scourge invasion so Sept 29th would be fine by me. Even better...make it the shortest pre-patch and drop it on Oct 6th.

Honestly it's just something new to do, so I want it sooner.
