Blizzard France employees are going on strike against the planned Versailles office closure on Shadowlands launch date.

On October 6, we reported that Blizzard would be closing their French office in Versailles, which employs at least 280 people. The first strike as per the recommendation of their union happened on October 14.

A new call for strike against the planned Versailles office closure at Blizzard France is supposed to occur from November 24 onwards.

The union calls for an abandonment of the closure, diversification of the Blizzard activity in France, and investment in the care of psycho-social risks.

If Blizzards main HQ is going to be in London now for tax purposes, and the UK are leaving the EU, is our data (for EU customers) going to be now fully held outside of the EU and in the UK instead (with a lot less data protection for EU customers) should the EU now also look to tax and put tariffs on Blizzard as they'd be based outside of the EU and the UK leaving without a brexit deal ?

I mean the deal Blizzard had from the French government was significant at the time and lower than Irelands' 12% corporation tax rate, which Blizzard also turned their backs on, the 12% from Ireland not being low enough for them. Begs the question, how much lower of a tax incentive have they been promised by the UK after the UK leaves the EU ?

Bobby looking to give himself a nice big Christmas bonus again this year from all the money he's saved getting rid of all the staff.

So I guess Bobby is thinking of retiring and wants to make the stock market numbers pretty before he sells the whole thing. I pity everyone who still works there, because the company was acting particularly shady in the past years.

Work for a multinational company that is greedy and will fire their people left and right for profit margins and don't give a damn about their workers' personal lives, and then for some reason still be shocked when they abandon you?

That is all companies. None of them care about your personal life. As it has no place in the business world.  This will mean nothing for them. Let them strike. Blizzard wasnt going to pay them anyway lol

After 14 years of partnership, Blizzard and NetEase hit a rough patch in 2022, leading to failed negotiations. Consequently, when the licensing agreement concluded on January 23, 2023, Blizzard's game services were suspended across mainland China.
