The Closest Sire Denathrius Kill We've Seen so Far

Recommended Posts

9hCYSe0.jpeg

Fayndril killed Sire Denathrius on Heroic difficulty in an epic way, being the only one alive in the raid group. The player even died simultaneously with the boss!

Moments like these feel best and give you a burst of dopamine! Congrats to the closest kill we've seen so far in Shadowlands!

Here's a video for those interested.

We have the largest batch of hotfixes in a long while today, with many class, dungeon, enemy and Zskery Vault improvements (including the Corruption bug that was causing Affliction get a lot more damage out), as well as the Primordial Stone tuning from earlier today.
      March 23 (Source)
      Characters
Fixed an issue where player titles were not properly displaying above their character. Classes
Demon Hunter Havoc Fixed an issue that caused Blind Fury (Talent) to provide incorrect bonus values. Priest Holy Healing and damage from Divine Image should now be properly attributed to the Priest who summoned it. Shaman Restoration Resolved an issue causing Swirling Currents to not properly benefit Cloudburst Totem. The aura tooltip will be incorrect until next patch. Warlock Affliction Fixed an issue where Corruption was dealing an extra damage tick on application. Dungeons and Raids
Mythic+ Spiteful Affix Fixed an issue where Spiteful Shades would leave behind a silhouette after dying. Enemies and NPCs
Forbidden Reach Reduced Bonesifter Marwak’s base health by 20%. Fixed an issue where some of the Furbolg’s dialogue would display incorrectly. Items and Rewards
Primordial Stones Cold Frost Stone effect increased by 12%. Deluging Water Stone effect increased by 22%. Desirous Blood Stone effect increased by 18.5%. Decreased trigger rate. Echoing Thunder Stone effect increased by 12%. Exuding Steam Stone effect increased by 25%. Flame Licked Stone effect increased by 12%. Freezing Ice Stone effect increased by 12%. Gleaming Iron Stone effect increased by 12%. Humming Arcane Stone - Fixed an issue that caused it to trigger more than intended. Indomitable Earth Stone effect increased by 12%. Pestilent Plague Stone effect increased by 72%. Raging Magma Stone effect increased by 12%. Searing Smokey Stone effect increased by 34%. Shining Obsidian Stone effect increased by 12%. Storm Infused Stone effect increased by 34%. Wild Spirit Stone effect increased by 50%. Developers’ note: The intent here is to bring other Primordial Stones up to the competitive level where the Humming Arcane Stone is currently performing. Although, a portion of this level of performance can be attributed to a bug, even when fixed the Humming Arcane Stone was still the top performer. With these changes we’re hoping to make other combinations more viable in comparison, but not necessarily overtake it over from being the best option. In addition, area of effect stones have gotten a considerable increase to their output. Quests
Fixed an issue causing players to remain phased in the Lion’s Pride Inn, after completing the Human Heritage questline. Zskera Vaults
The chains to lower chests in Zskera Vaults will no longer appear erroneously after the chest has been lowered and looted. The Primordial Earth Cache locked by a Runic Puzzle should now work correctly. The creature that is slain to satisfy “Secure the Vault” on that week’s quest should no longer respawn.

We taking a look at the "day 1" logs (since both US and EU regions have had a shot at the post-patch tuning raid), but the Warlock shenanigans are still affecting the rankings, with two bugs that needed to be hotfixed, one arriving just today with the Corruption nerf and the other the pet buffs affecting the character itself. So it may be best to not take the Warlock stats too seriously for now. And, of course, keep in mind these are very preliminary rankings as it's only been a few days since the patch.
      Mythic
      Overall Damage 95th Percentile
We're going to pretend Affliction isn't on top of it all, pending some more logs with the nerfs in place, so it seems Frost DK is the new No.1 of the patch, after a solid performance in No.2 before it as well! Marksmanship is significantly improved, 5 spots up, and then come the other two Warlocks which "only" benefited from the one insanely significant DPS increase bug. It is looking like Destruction is in a better place, even disregarding the bug, since it was at the literal bottom of the chart before the patch and it's unlikely the bug carried it this high all on its own, considering how much it affected the other two specs. Arms and Subtletly remained pretty much the same if we ignore the purple weirdness, and then we have the previous No.1 and No.2 and Beast Mastery closing out the top 10. Unholy drops to last, joining Assassination which was there before, and Fury completes the bottom 3, with the Warrior having dropped a lot more than the DK.

95th percentile Mythic data by Warcraft Logs.
      Overall Damage All Percentiles
Marksmanship edged out Frost DK in the generalist bracket (and we're still ignoring the Warlocks) but the top 3 has the same specs in it as the high percentiles. Beast Mastery seems like the big winner of the patch, as it finds itself up high here as well, landing in 5th from way down near the bottom. Outlaw also sees a lot of improvement, getting the better of once No.1 Shadow, and we then see some pink in the top 10 as the newly revamped Retribution aficionados get to grips with their new toys.
All percentiles Mythic data by Warcraft Logs.
      Heroic DPS
Heroic is even more of an Affliction fanclub, with its two bugs propelling it way above everything else, but that particular party is already over. We then see three Hunter specs dominate everything, same as they have been in Normal difficulty before, and Paladins break through right behind them! It's all very organized here as we then see the two Rogues stick together, with Unholy doing better than Frost here, unlike in the top percentiles. Arcane drops a whole lot as it finds itself in the bottom 3, joined by frequent visitors Elemental and Devastation, which didn't have to travel far since last week.

All percentiles Heroic data by Warcraft Logs.
      Normal DPS
As the Hunters take over in Heroic they lose their control in Normal, as only Beast Mastery manages to stay at the top, the green tide getting broken by the two yellows (this time Assassination instead of Subtletly). We see a class grouping again at the very bottom, as all three Mage specs decided to take it very easy for now.
All percentiles Normal data by Warcraft Logs.

We'll be back at the start of next week with some proper numbers, and hopefully the Warlock bugs will get drowned out by some more solid data so we can see where they're actually at, but there will probably still be traces, as those bugs provided a lot of DPS.
Meanwhile you can check out our Dragonflight class guides here or our Vault of the Incarnates guides here, as well as more data from Warcrat Logs here.

For the first time in Patch 10.0.7, we're looking at the Tier List for Mythic+!
      DISCLAIMER
The following post is based on statistics provided by Subcreation, a website that gathers various Mythic+ data from live servers. Please note that the tier list is biased toward the top end because it only looks at the top 100 keys per dungeon per affix and ignores keys below +16 and untimed runs.
For the reasons mentioned above, the data presented here will always differ from the Mythic Tier Lists maintained by Petko.
      Data Reliability
The data used in the post comes from Subcreation, a site maintained by Alcaras. Subcreation provides statistical analysis of Mythic+ dungeons, raids, and PvP in Shadowlands, and the data is provided via the Warcraft Logs API and Raider.io. If you'd like to support Subcreation, you can check out their Patreon.
      How the Data is Calculated
The site looks at the top 100 keys per dungeon per affix across all regions and examines their raider.io scores. For each dungeon and specialization, the site takes the lower bound of a 95% confidence interval of the top 100 runs for each specialization. The site then averages these lower bounds, one per dungeon, to get an overall average lower bound for each spec, which is finally used to create the tier list.
The site takes the lower bounds of the 95% confidence interval calculated and then clusters them into 6 buckets using the Ckmeans algorithm. You can find more information by reading the site's FAQ.
Tanks, Healers, Melee, and Ranged are all on the same scale. They're just shown separately for easier comparison across roles.
Mythic+ Tier List for Dragonflight Season 1: Week #15
The specs are ranked based on their lb_ci which stands for the lower bound of a 95% confidence interval. If a certain tier is missing, it's not occupied by any specialization.
The following tier list is for this week's affixes: Fortified, Spiteful, Grievous, Thundering.
      Tank Tier List
Based on 3,200 runs, ranging in difficulty from +20 to +28.

We have the first solidly big batch of hotfixes in a while, as the initial patch 10.0.7 improvements bring class, dungeon, quest, mob and Zskera Vault fixes, including the big Warlock issue that was causing them go go pretty nuts with their DPS.
      March 22 (Source)
      Classes
Paladin Retribution Fixed an issue that caused Aura of Reckoning to not function with the Crusading Strikes talent. Warlock Fixed an issue where Demonic Inspiration’s pet bonus would be applied to the Warlock instead. Fixed an issue where Wrathful Minion’s pet bonus would be applied to the Warlock instead. Dungeons and Raids
Razorfen Kraul Fixed an issue that caused Overlord Ramtusk to sometimes inflict excessive damage to players when Timewalking. Temple of the Jade Serpent Fixed an issue that caused Liu Flameheart to attack players after summoning Yu’lon. Enemies and NPCs
Rare enemies in the Forbidden Reach have had their hit points increased. Veltrax now gives appropriate loot. Quests
Valdrakken “Aiding the Accord: Zskera Vaults” will now auto-complete the objective to open a vault door if you’ve already opened all vault doors for the week. Zskera Vaults
Players should no longer be able to enter the Zskera Vault while in a raid. Zskera Vault keys will not function on doors if you are in a raid. If you opened every door in the Zskera Vaults and failed to get the “Every Door, Every Where, All At Once” achievement, please re-enter the vaults before the reset, and it should award you the achievement.
