Here's two more tips/reminders for leveling in the new expansion, as these focus mostly on alts or for those that will be leveling multiple characters simultaneously (or those that have a lot of gold laying around). You could even be leveling from 60 to 66 in 30ish minutes, but would have to expend a lot of crafting resources.
The first one is an oldie but a goodie, as Slashzor308 pointed out you should be logging in to your alts after the Dragonflight launch, to get that rested XP bar going again! As you know, when a new expansion drops all characters get the new levels added and ready to be filled with experience, but you have to log in to each character to get that rested XP going.
How soon you need to do that depends entirely on when you're planning on playing these other characters, as it takes a while for the full rested XP to gather up - you gain 5% of your current level in bonus XP per 8 hours logged off in an inn or capital city, or per 32 hours logged off elsewhere. The cap is at 150% of your current level in bonus XP, and you can read more about the rested XP system here.
Update: the below method seems to have been nerfed, as the bonus XP for crafting was significantly reduced.
The other, slightly weirder tip is potentially much more significant, as you could be gaining XP extremely fast while using your professions. Now, this one is from about two weeks ago on the beta, so it's not 100% certain it will work on live, but considering it's a pretty expensive way to level, it just might work. Basically the new profession system brings a lot of XP for crafting, and with enough mats you can speed through the first 6-ish levels very quickly. Here's the full post:
You can find the new scaled down Dragonflight XP tables here, and you can also check out our leveling guides for each spec for general tips, builds and more.
We have a very detailed leveling guide to take a look at, as Mr_Roguery took a lot of time to make a document with all the tricks and optimizations to get to level 70 in the most direct way possible. Roguery goes through each hub, main quest, side quest and offers basically a speed walkthrough of the quests, noting where to go and what to do, as well as adding some tips in for good measure.
Meanwhile, if you're looking for something lighter and more general, you can also check out our own leveling guides, which include builds for each spec, heirlooms, as well as an overview of the questing,
A sample from the document.
This is a very long document, so if you're just looking for ways to level faster, this isn't it - but if you want to plan your leveling ahead of time and know what to expect and what to do, where the Dragonriding glyphs and everything else is, as well as some recommendations for fun and cool quests, you're in the right place!
An Alliance Druid with a 1 million absorb shield has invaded Durotar, in Rextroy's latest video.
The latest Rextroy video revolves around a Druid with a 1,000,000 absorb shield that is basically invincible as long as there are enough Orcs to feed on.
This combo was originally told to me by Lunabuna (ßêâr-Tichondrius), I had thought about it, but a lot of people pointed out a 30% max HP cap on the shield from Ursoc's Fury Remembered.
But Lunabuna sent me some clips showing how they obtained a massive 1.2 million shield on the legendary!
I tested the legendary to see what caused it sometimes to give a cap and sometimes ignore it. The first instance of the shield being granted to you appears to have no cap at all! But every future shield refresh will be capped at 30%. That means every bleed tick from Thrash or if you hit many people with the initial hit.
This means we couldn't use the scaling bug to turn immortal efficiently since people will be all around us when we do a "raid boss" type video. I thought we could try it with different charge abilities to get away from enemies, but it would be quite limited and only last as long as we have low-level NPCs to charge to.
This changed in the pre-patch when the legendary was turned into a talent. It has a very similar effect, but it also includes MAUL, which is purely a single target ability!
This solved every issue we had! Now we can stack up horde-tagged NPCs that the horde won't be able to do anything about! And use them to feed us a 500k - 1 million absorb shield whenever we needed!
Of course, it isn't uncounterable. A mind control will screw up the combo since the NPCs will disappear from us (can be solved if you teamed up with another Alliance to keep the orcs in combat) or if you get stunned at the same moment as you try to refresh the shield.
We have to cancel aura the current shield to refresh it, since, otherwise, it gets nerfed from 500k to about 30k. This is the same frame that horde can stun us to get us stuck with no active shield!
It was really lucky that I decided to film this when I did, I was originally going to wait for the 40% Maul buff for a bigger shield, but that was the same hotfix that also removed the shield scaling against low-level NPCs! About 1-2 days after gathering the footage...
I hope you all enjoyed the video and have a great Dragonflight launch!
Raid Boss Invades Durotar Video
Multiple items and achievements will be permanently removed from the game with the Dragonflight launch, and you have approximately 24 hours to get them before they're gone for good!
Frostbrood Proto-Wyrm Mount
The Wrath Classic promotion mount is going away with Dragonflight. You need to download Wrath Classic and play through the Death Knight intro to get it on retail.
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to get it.
1. Buy a World of Warcraft subscription if your account is inactive.
2. Open Battle.net and download Wrath Classic.
3. Log in to the game, browse all servers and sort them by population. Pick the realm with the lowest population to avoid long queue times.
4. Create a Death Knight character. Your first Death Knight created in any realm (except for fresh realms) is free of restrictions, according to Blizzard, so you WON'T NEED AN EXISTING LEVEL 55 CHARACTER ON THE SAME REALM.
5. Complete the Death Knight introduction questline. Your character must finish the questline leading to the point where you enter your faction's capital city and talk to your leader. For Alliance characters, you must complete the "Where King Walks" quest. For Horde players, the counterpart is named "Warchief's Blessing." The intro takes about 2 hours to complete.
6. At this point, you should automatically receive the mount on live servers. Find out by logging in to the live version of the game.

Season 4 Dungeon Teleports
Dungeons from previous expansions were added to the Mythic+ pool in Season 4, and completing them at Mythic Level 20 or higher, rewards dungeon teleports that are going away with the launch of Dragonflight.

Eternal Gladiator's Soul Eater (the wings are rendered incorrectly in the model viewer).
Shadowlands Feat of Strength Achievement
Back from the Beyond, the Shadowlands meta-achievement is a Feat of Strength that's going away soon. Mythic Season 4 Elite PvP Armor Sets
The current Elite PvP Sets are going away, too, and you must earn a rating of 2,100+ (Duelist: Shadowlands Season 4) if you want to earn every single piece of armor, including the cloak.
Some rewards will not be removed but will be harder to get. These include Mythic mounts from the Shadowlands raids.
Defeat Sylvanas Windrunner on Mythic Difficulty
Defeating Sylvanas Windrunner in the Sanctum of Domination raid on Mythic difficulty yields Vengeance's Reins. The mount will have a drop chance close to 1% when Dragonflight launches.
Defeat the Jailer on Mythic Difficulty
Likewise, if you haven't obtained the mount from Mythic Jailer yet, you still have plenty of time to do so before the drop rate is reduced to a measly 1% with the opening of the first Dragonflight raid tier.
Here's a very heartwarming and pretty extreme story, as a player actually went to another server, rolled up a fresh level 1 character to earn a LOT of gold and send it to thank another player for inviting them to a mount group - a process that lasted almost 5 months!
It all started with Blind-nz becoming a mount collector, getting to 400, and then going for all the others that are still available. But then they came across Iska's Mawrat Leash, which was a tricky one to get to begin with, due to a long respawn and having to kill the mount fast before the rider dismounts, but was especially difficult when fewer players were making groups. After months of farming, Blind-nz got invited to a group and finished off their quest. So far, so normal, right?
Well, the extreme part comes in after that, as Blind-nz wanted to thank the group leader for the invite, but the group disbanded too quickly. In comes a key screenshot to save the day, offering the name and server of this wonderful group leader.
And so Blind-nz decided to go to the player's server, make a level 1 character and flip items on the Auction House until they gathered around 200K gold to send them (the price of a WoW token at the time). They went through a long process of trading up and expanding their auctions, and even decided to just keep going after reaching that 200K goal.
Finally, 5 months after that fated day of the mount drop and group invite, Blind-nz gathered up 1 MILLION gold and literally sent it to the group-invited via mail, with this note:
This is probably one of the most heartwarming things I've seen in the game, period, and it really goes to show you just how social WoW can be. Also, who says there's nothing to do in the pre-expansion period!
Here's the full and detailed post, well worth a read:
