Castle Nathria 9.0.5 Day 1 DPS, Tank and Healer Log Rankings

Recommended Posts

UPDATE: We've now taken a look at the rankings after 4 and a half days of the patch, so if you want to check out a more up-to-date version, click here!

Patch 9.0.5 brought lots of changes to classes, either via legendary or Covenant changes, or even directly to the classes, so we're taking a quick preliminary look at what that's done to the Nathria log rankings for all three roles. If you want to check out the actual changes, you can take a look at the full patch notes here.

Important note: these rankings are very preliminary, as they only encompass the past day since the patch launched, with only the US having access to the patch. We'll have a better idea of what things are like once players have more time with the patch. Having said that, most of the specs have a solid number of logs, aside from the usual suspects which are REALLY low: Survival, Arcane and Demonology, so you should probably ignore their results.

And let's also take a look at the Heroic stats, which have many more logs available:

Back to Mythic, we can also take a look at the tank DPS and healer HPS stats, although those aren't as relevant as those 2 roles are much more complex than just those numbers.

As always, if you want even more info on a spec, you can check out our class guides here.

It's nice to see that my Survival Hunter has a great chance at being competitive.

Yea, I was rather disappointed by the fact that were little to no buffs/changes to survival outside of covenant buffs. Only one legendary was buffed too as well, unless they are expecting the spec to get beefed up in 9.1.0 I really don't see how it can compete. Let alone be accepted to other content such as M+ and raiding.

There are two viable Hunter Class Specs.  I don't think Blizzard has ever had the goal of every Spec being viable.

I'm with you, I really wanted to play Sub Rogue this Xpac... If I want to play the Rogue Class then I need to play Outlaw or Sin.

Hunter, Like Rogue, has two viable specs in PvE and a wildcard spec that is really good at PvP.

I'm bummed that Sub and Survival are useless at PvE right now but to be fair to Blizzard, they say Bring the player not the class nothing about spec.

Finally someone who speaks the truth. I´m really tired of people whining about a spec when their class has one or sometimes two other totally viable specs. I totally get that some people like survival ( that I enjoy playing too even though it´s terrible) or any undertuned other spec. But yeah the game is about class balance not spec balance. You have the right to play whatever spec you like but accept the consequences.

anyone else tried the specific frost DK spec that dual wield and dual hysteria? i seem to pull a lot more dps than any other frost spec i have tried as i can maintain syndragosa breath for around a minute, with venthyr covenent however i was able to sustain it pretty much indefinately on a patchwork fight, only the simcraft doesnt know how to roll cooldowns to maintain.....

We're looking at how many raid bosses each World of Warcraft expansion has introduced.
This chart, created by Reddit user throwaway4201251315, lays out the count of raid bosses across all WoW expansions, including Dragonflight.

The chart's fine details are hard to make out, but it's clear that the original Vanilla version launched with the highest number of raid bosses (about 55-60), whereas Dragonflight had the fewest (around 25-30), a figure similar to what we saw in Cataclysm. Notably, Blizzard's decision to skip .3 patches and the introduction of Fated Raids have contributed to a declining trend in the number of raid bosses in both Shadowlands and Dragonflight.
It seems that players generally prefer raids with 8-9 bosses, finding larger raids like Ny'alotha and Sepulcher to be exhausting.

Collecting mounts really has become as much of a part of WoW as raiding, dungeons, questing and PvP at this point, as players constantly want more and more. Today we're taking a look at another hirumaredx video, this time focusing on the 10 rarest mounts players can still obtain today!
While I'm sure this list will be disputed, it's still fun to see what could be considered some of the most rare rides on Azeroth, especially if you happen to own one already! The list is based off of both drop chances and actual difficulty to obtain, as the first one is basically a 100% "drop", but will take a long time to get.

One of the Trading Post activities this month requires players to kill the Lich King for Tender and one lucky player went to Icecrown Citadel and looted Invincible's Reins!
Title Description Travel Points Defeat the Lich King   Kill the Lich King in the Icecrown Citadel.   50 50 Tender convinced naturzaros to visit Icecrown Citadel and kill the Lich King who was very generous in return and dropped Invincible's Reins.

The axe-wielding, tree-burning dragon has a sense of humor, as he will laugh at anyone that dies to his fire during the raid encounter (and you get an achievement if you didn't get it before!
The Still Standing in the Fire achievement came along with patch 10.1 and Fyrakk Assaults. It was a little tricky to get as you had to find where to stand and die to the fire, which didn't really 1-shot you. Luckily with 10.2, it got a whole lot easier (well, for raiders anyway). The achievement is named after the original, where Deathwing had to kill you either during the Dragon Soul raid or when he was breathing all over Azeroth.
As spotted by ah_kooky_kat, dying to Fyrakk in the raid also triggers the achievement, and he still laughs at you!

The very old-school WeakAura in the screenshot also got a lot of attention the the thread below.
