Here come today's hotfixes, bringing changes/nerfs to Sanguine Depths and Spires of Ascension, most of which will go live with this week's resets in each region.

Dungeons and Raids
Sanguine Depths [With regional restarts] Dark Acolyte’s Dark Bolt cast time increased to 2 seconds (was 1.5 seconds). [With regional restarts] Chamber Sentinel’s Craggy Fracture damage reduced by 20%, is cast less frequently, and now targets fewer players. [With regional restarts] Za’rali’s Shining Radiance now removes all bleed effects, including Severing Slice and Grievous (Affix). The tooltip will be updated in a future patch to reflect this change. [With regional restarts] Fixed an issue where Sinfall Boon ’s buff increased from killing non-combat creatures. Grand Proctor Beryllia Fixed an issue that caused Endless Torment to be cast multiple times in a row. General Kaal [With regional restarts] Reduced the periodic damage of Wicked Gash by 33%. Spires of Ascension Devos Fixed an issue where throwing a spear at Devos would fail to register a hit when it looked like it should.
It's been two days since the Slime Serpent has been discovered, and since this one requires players to solo Plaguefall Heroic (or Mythic), there's already been a couple of hints and tips to make that easier on lower geared players and specs that have trouble soloing! The big tip was discovered, of course, by the WoW Secret Finding Discord, same as the mount itself (as spotted by Wowhead), and it actually makes the solo a lot easier if you have someone to help you out. Now, you'll still have to solo the final boss yourself, but a higher geared player or a spec more suited for soloing can get you there, and considering Stradama is generally easier, especially for some specs, this is quite a good tip!
The "method" is pretty simple, basically you just can't be in the instance at the same time, but can be in the same party. So the strong solo/better geared player just zones in alone, clears everything up aside from Margrave Stradama, leaves, and then the player that needs the mount zones in - pretty simple really! Even if this wasn't intended it's extremely unlikely that Blizzard will change/fix it, as players are already somewhat upset that this mount is gated behind either having a strong solo class or really good gear.

The second tip is for Mages specifically, as DallMit also acquired some help in order to clear the dungeon, but his was a bit more hostile. The Fungalmacer mob has some pretty useful things to share, despite trying to kill you, specifically the Wonder Grow buff which stacks up to 10. The trick is, you have to bring it along for the ride for the final two bosses and kept Spellstealing the buff, as its being castbuff as, as you can see from this video:
The method is a bit more time intense, as there's extra trash that needs to be cleared, in order to bring the big guns to the final bosses, but it's well worth it, if nothing else so you can be a giant green mushroom-hyped death dealer.
Hopefully these helped a little, and more players can get their hands on the mount!
As the PTR rages we're back to live and Castle Nathria to see what things are actually like right now, with some more DPS logs! This week our guide writers will be taking a look at the impressively performing and still rising Assassination and an incredibly stable, if unimpressive Havoc, which has been one of the only specs to stay in pretty much exactly the same place since the raid launched.
But first we're off to the high-end, where things remain stable, but we do have some movement, as Frost DK overtakes Windwalker, as the two seem to be alternating each week in 7th. Meanwhile, Assassination continues its rise, even in the high percentages, as it moves past Retribution, while Outlaw also jumps 1 spot, taking down Destruction.

All percentiles actually saw some more movement at the top, with Fire claiming 3rd from Shadow, as Elemental and Assassination trade places. Frost DKs jumped the most here, passing 5 other specs to get to 9th, while Arcane drops a couple spots, to make room for them, Fury and Outlaw.

In Heroic things remain mostly the same, with the biggest difference from Mythic being the still very high placement of Marksmanship, as it's sticking to 7th place compared to Mythic's 14th.

Do not waste your Polished Pet Charms on items that increase your maximum number of pets! The cap has been entirely removed in Patch 9.1, which means you can instead save and spend them on something meaningful!
In Chains of Domination, there is no longer a cap on the maximum number of pets you can own, which means you can have unlimited pets. However, they are still limited to 3 of each species.
This means you no longer need to buy Interdimensional Pet Portal and Pocket Pet Portal that cost 1,000 Polished Pet Charms each.
The useful tip comes from Reddit user Tyrsenus.
To make raiding gear best for raiding, Blizzard added upgradable Essence-like raid gems to the game in Patch 9.1 that can only be attached to Sanctum of Domination gear.
There are three gems and each comes with 5 ranks and unique effects which become more powerful with increasing ranks. These effects seem to work just like Essences. At this time, it is unknown how the upgrade process works.
Shard of Domination - Grim Harvester - Rank 1 - Your melee attacks have a chance to drain a Soul Fragment from your target. Shard of Domination - Grim Harvester - Rank 2 - Soul Fragments from Grim Harvest now stack up to 10 times. Shard of Domination - Grim Harvester - Rank 3 - Reaching 10 stacks unleashes Chaos Bane, dealing Shadow damage and granting you additional power. Shard of Domination - Grim Harvester - Rank 4 - Chaos Bane's damage is increased by 100%. Shard of Domination - Grim Harvester - Rank 5 - Chaos Bane explodes again when it expires. Sanguine Rage
Shard of Domination - Sanguine Rage - Rank 1 - Your Critical Hits have a chance to spill your enemy's blood on the ground, which you can absorb. Shard of Domination - Sanguine Rage - Rank 2 - Your healing from Blood Patches is increased by 50%. Shard of Domination - Sanguine Rage - Rank 3 - If 5 Blood Patches exist at once, they congeal into a Blood Beast. Shard of Domination - Unbound Pestilence - Rank 1 - Your helpful abilities send a Swarm of Locusts to protect your ally. Shard of Domination - Unbound Pestilence - Rank 2 - Your Swarm of Locusts now chains to up to 3 additional allies. Shard of Domination - Unbound Pestilence - Rank 3 - Swarm of Locusts casts automatically on a nearby ally every 60 seconds. Shard of Domination - Unbound Pestilence - Rank 4 - Swarm of Locusts has a 25% chance to cast twice when it casts. Shard of Domination - Unbound Pestilence - Rank 5 - When your allies with Swarm of Locusts are healed to full health, the Swarm damages a nearby enemy. You will be able to empower an item with a Shard of Domination by obtaining items called Boss Souls from bosses in the new raid. There's a raid quest, where you must collect 5 Boss Souls to create an item that allows you to empower an eligible item with a Shard of Domination gem.

Currently, it is unknown how many pieces of gear we will be able to empower with a Shard of Domination. Blizzard mentioned in a BlizzConline interview that the effects would only work in the raid.
