wow Shadowlands 9.0.5 Mythic+ DPS Log Rankings and Analysis: Week 6: Major and Chaotic Changes

The sixth week of Mythic+ in patch 9.0.5 has brought some drastic changes to the rankings, from actual changes to the spec spots, to a very major change to the differences between the rankings themselves, as the top 3 pushed incredibly far ahead of the rest this week and the rest of the field is a lot more chaotic as well. The +15 keys were a bit more stable however.

Note: The logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.

This past week was Fortified, Spiteful, Volcanic (and Prideful).

In the all keys 95th percentile, all specs were relatively close in the past many weeks we've been following the rankings (with most specs, even the bottom ones, being around the 90-mark), but now the top 3-4 got SO far ahead of the rest! We're not quite sure what happened this week to cause this large of a change, but it was one of the better push weeks, which means the top meta specs would definitely be more represented and do better. In regular ranking news, Elemental climbed 3 spots to end up in 5th place, as Marksmanship overtook Fury right behind it.

Things are a little more stable at the "meaty" end of the all percentiles bracket, but the trend of the top specs dominating remains. Affliction and Fury rose, as the top 5 stayed the same.

High Keys

The +15s are much more stable this week, with Fire reclaiming its top spot and Marksmanship climbing up a lot, taking 5th spot after last week's 9th. Assassination dropped 2 spots to make room for Havoc and Elemental, as the (viable) Hunter specs seem to be balancing each other out, as Survial drops 8 spots down to 18th!

This week even the +20ies are looking stable compared to the all keys rankings, despite Arcane literally disappearing from the top spot down into 13th place. Outlaw and Fire are back on top with Demonology being the new kid in top town (and sure to bounce back down next week, similar to Arcane). Now obviously the "stable" comment above was quite hyperbolic, as +20ies are always extremely flexible and with relatively few logs, will always change around a lot week-to-week.
