Bag Sizes Stealthily Reduced for Boosted Characters

Recommended Posts

It seems there's less bag space available when you skip to level 58 in the Burning Crusade Classic, as Blizzard have stealthily changed a small detail in the boost package!

As spotted by Kickinwing96, the Dark Portal Pass official article was updated recently to reduce the bag size for boosted characters from 14 to 12, aka from Runecloth to Huge Brown Sacks, without any additional notification via blue posts or similar. We've checked our own post on the matter (which you can find here) and it did indeed say 14 slot bags would be given out. It has also been confirmed that players are in fact getting the 12 slot bags in-game.

Why exactly Blizzard would change this, especially without any warning or notification is hard to figure out, and while no one got a Dark Portal Pass just because of the 2 extra slots per bag, it's still something that should have been announced.

Update: the buff is now live on NA and EU servers as well!
It's time for joy on TBC Classic servers, as the Joyous Journeys 50% extra XO buff has gone live on Oceanic servers. It was late Monday morning for that region when it went up so we should be seeing the buff arrive shortly to EU and then NA, but it's definitely coming today (Monday).
The buff was said to arrive "at least 6-8 weeks" before WotLK Classic's launch, and we've already seen a leaked release date from the official site for September 26th, which is 1 week later, but it's now safe to say September is the target month at least.
In any case, now is the time to level up those classes you may have wanted to try out for WotLK Classic!

Blizzard have announced that free transfers to the EU Gehennas server will be closing later this week.
      Gehennas (Source)
In order to prevent the Gehennas realm from becoming overpopulated, we will soon close all free transfers to Gehennas.
We expect to implement this closure later this week, in no less than 24 hours from the time of this post.
      Thank you.
