Valor Upgrade Limitations No Longer Account-Wide in Patch 9.1

Recommended Posts

Valor upgrade limitations are no longer account-wide and you must earn a certain Mythic Score Rating on your alts to if you want to upgrade Mythic Dungeon Gear in Chains of Domination.

Before Patch 9.1, you earned the Shadowlands Keystone Master: Season One Shadowlands Keystone Master: Season One achievement on your main, which was account-wide, and made upgrading gear with Valor available on alts too.

However, with the implementation of the new Mythic Score System, this is no longer the case and you need to earn a certain ranking on your alts too.

Well that went to *filtered* real fast. Hopefully an oversight and this will change back otherwise ye *filtered* alts. The mount is already *filtered* enough being just a recolour...

Somehow, do not really mind it. Even liking it, in fact.

So long you can play an alt to get 2k, and I mean come on, timing a 15 wasn't anything difficult in week 1, with no 9.1 gear, at will only get easier over time.

And if you can't... well, either you barely play that alt, in which case why would you need that level of gear, or you just don't deserve it.

But of course your casual Joe that brought his fully upgraged FOTM alt to do a whooping 3k dps last season would disagree, lol.

There is so much wrong with this sentiment that I don't even know where to start, but the notion that people have to deserve gear in your eyes is the one that's bothered me since people were standing on top of the old Org AH complaining about people in "welfare epics" back in the day. I mean, damn, special snowflake much?

Deserving in MY eyes? :DD

Newsflash: this is a game. Which means: you beat stuff to get things. You can't beat stuff - things stay out of your reach. That is literally how it works.

Complaining such as yours is just among those "I don't want to invest time and effort, just give me things!". Which is double hillarious given how easy it is to get a KSM.

i also like the changes but i dont think that this will change much in the long run. people who cant play their twinks still get carried by their premades or they just buy boosts. KSM really is easy to get thought.

Even premades kinda expect you to pull at least some of your own weight, and as for boosters, it can swing either way depending on how costly KSM is (i.e. people getting discouraged to buy multiple KSM boosts instead of just one).

My frustration is mainly aimed at those 'everyday Joes' mentioned above, and if now they'll need to actually learn playing something if they want it geared - it's the most positive change one can hope for.

Still, yeah, S2 KSM being laughably easy is the main reason I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Could use another 30% buff.

well you actually dont even need to play keys in time for the new KSM, if you got enough time or enough time passed you can carry a freshly lvl 60 character just through some +16 keys and hes KSM

Not hugely a fan of this change- genuinely hope it's just an oversight because I don't really want to get KSM on 3 characters? Oh well, guess maybe it'll be a good sign to chill out on my WoW play time.

The new War Within Allied Races was added to the Alpha today and we already have a full look at not only all their customization options, but their dances as well, courtesy of MrGM! You can check out the Earthen's racial abilities here if you missed them earlier.
Let's start with the more dynamic feature, with both male and female dances:
And then there's big amount of customization options, as well as a size comparison with regular dwarves:

So, are we liking the new Allied Race overall? More than actual dwarves?

Here's a really cool possibility for the War Within, as a very subtle and mildly mysterious comment from Executive Producer and Vice President for WoW, Holly Longdale, may be hinting at our Warband characters getting a lot more involved in our travels!
First spotted by UlthansWrath, Longdale came up to Taliesin & Evitel at the recent London War Within Alpha press event and had a short chat about the Warband screen, when she casually said "wouldn't it be cool if those were the characters you took as your followers in your Follower Dungeons?" After the obvious confirmation from Taliesin and Evitel that, yes, yes it would be cool, she just said "hm" and that was the end of the conversation.
Obviously this isn't any sort of official confirmation, but considering this is a really awesome idea, it seems likely Blizzard are at the very least discussing it, if not already working on it.

The Warband system is already great, and this would add a lot to it for players that choose to go solo into dungeons, as it would give them even more motivation to get some great characters in their Warband - even if it was just a cosmetic option.
So, what do you think, will we be seeing this feature when the War Within launches?
