WoW Once More Most Watched Game on Twitch

Recommended Posts

The Race to World First has come again and WoW is back on top on Twitch again as well! This happened every race but it's still great to see. The higher ranking will persist throughout the race, and this isn't even the peak (which should be happening today, as both top guilds are very close to a kill), and this is even without the benefit of WoW's most popular streamer, Asmongold!

The below image, taken by AttitudeAdjuster_ at peak evening EU/afternoon US hours, shows over 300,000 viewers for the game, but that number will most likely get bigger today, as we've seen 300-400,000 crowds for JUST the raid race alone.

The Race to World First is truly the premiere event of WoW and it's great to see such a large crowd gathering. We'll see how it goes today, as Echo and Complexity-Limit go at it head-to-head for that final 5%, if it's even possible, that is!

I hope Blizzard respect this community and listen to them. Most of WoW expansions could be really super fun experiences if devs would listen to some of player feedbacks

We as players and fans of WoW and Blizzard wants nothing more than fun and entertainment and respect to some of creative player base ideas that can make it a better game

Anyway awesome WoW is alive and kicking and thats a good thing

Just a perspective coming from a player who has recently left WoW after playing literally since launch back in 2004 and switched to FFXIV. I think I understand this view a little. Yes there is certainly some incitement from people like Asmongold and Preach when they raise(d) legitimate concerns about the game that seem to fall on deaf (or uncaring) ears, and the urge to jump on the mob-mentality bandwagon of hating on Blizzard because it's popular. But for me, I've seen a game go from being developed and handled by what I saw as other gamers like me, Chris Metzen, Mike Morhaime, Jeff Kaplan, the old-school Blizzard giants who had vision and made the game as an amazing adventure to experience with your friends, to J. Allen Brack, Ion, and Activision suits who's only measurement for fun seems to be keeping players locked into near infinite grinds and endless systems for their "engagement metrics" to show to shareholders, "Look! They're grinding more Torghast floors, that means they're having fun."

It feels like someone has taken something I genuinely enjoyed and valued and have tons of amazing memories with and beaten it down into a shell of its former self. I have talked at length with a friend and fellow WoW veteran player about it feeling like being an abused spouse, that we keep getting treated worse and worse by the devs, xpac after xpac, and yet we stuck with WoW over the years because we felt like it could come back, it had the potential to be like it used to be. But getting out and experiencing something different, has been an amazing breath of fresh air for a genre that I didn't think had the potential to be as much fun as I'm having with FFXIV.

This is just one person's experience. If other people are still enjoying WoW, that's great, more power to them. If more MMO games are good and competitive, that's a great thing because it makes every studio try harder to make their game the best and the most attractive it can be. I just personally don't see any hope with the personnel at Blizzard to even see, let alone fix, the problems.

Obviously you're entitled to your opinion but I see it as people talking themselves into a frenzy and making mountains out of mole-hills for 15 years until their chosen malcontent finally erodes their attitude and their ability to have a rational perspective of the game.

I can make myself hate anything if I spend enough time thinking about how much I hate it and how bad it is.

I'm glad you're enjoying FF too. It's a nice change of pace. I've been playing it for 3 years almost every day and actually hit mentor status which was pretty cool. FF is just a game like WoW. It's a lot slower, more focused on tmog/collectible farming, and easily accessible content. I enjoy it for what it is but it doesn't come close to WoW in combat, environment, immersion, and raids imo. The crafting is pretty great though.

😄

Anyway, enjoy whatever game you play but know that you will find people in FF who have talked themselves into the same corner regarding that game as you did with WoW.

If you plan on buying the physical War Within Collector's Edition and live in Europe, you're going to have a bad time!
Blizzard has ceased distributing WoW Collector's Editions through retailers with the release of Dragonflight, making the Blizzard Store the only place to buy them. However, the shipping costs could be a dealbreaker for many collectors eager to acquire the latest edition for the upcoming expansion.
Reddit user katamai from Serbia posted a screenshot of their order, revealing that the shipping fees exceed the cost of the box itself—280 Euros for shipping compared to 200 Euros for the box, totaling 480 Euros.

Additionally, Emi, a follower on our Facebook page, reported a shipping cost of 99 Euros to Romania, nearly ten times what it costs to ship to the UK.

A practical workaround might be to order the Collector's Edition to a UK address and then use a shipping service to forward it to your address in Europe, potentially saving a considerable amount of money.
How much does it cost to ship the box to your country?

We've already talked about and taken a first look at the Delve-specific mount coming in the War Within, but now it's time to check out all of its customization options!
LeystTV has delved into the mount and shown off all the options, from the different colors to nose, wing, thruster, and top customizations, with glider, blimp, helicopter looks and more! There's even different versions of Horde and Alliance decals to choose from!

And these may not even be all the options present at launch, not to mention new ones Blizzard might add with later patches, making this one of the cooler mounts in the game.
