Complete 5 Timewalking Dungeons for Item Level 226 Loot Piece

Recommended Posts

14657-burning-crusade-timewalking-9th-14

The weekly bonus event is Burning Crusade Timewalking, meaning you can get a piece of item level 226 gear for completing 5 Timewalking dungeons and even better loot from the Timewalking version of Black Temple.

Open the in-game Adventure Guide (Shift + J) and click on "Start Quest" for Bonus Event Timewalking to get started. The weekly quest requires you to complete 5 Timewalking dungeons to receive 1 Cache of Sanctum Treasures Cache of Sanctum Treasures, which contains a piece of gear from Normal difficulty Sanctum of Domination.

The increased buff to reputation gains lets you reach Revered with the Netherwing relatively quickly.

  • Timewalking dungeons drop Item Level 184 loot.
  • You can get Item Level 226 loot from the Black Temple Timewalking raid.
  • Reins of the Infinite Timereaver Reins of the Infinite Timereaver has a small chance to drop from all Timewalking bosses as Personal Loot.
  • Don't forget to use the Heart of Azeroth (Essences) and Azerite Gear for Timewalking. They make your character a lot more powerful!

Illidan Awaits

Head to Outland to face Illidan and his cohorts once more in The Black Temple!

The Black Temple raid is available throughout the Burning Crusade Timewalking event. The difficulty is set to Normal and, like any Normal level raid, will not be available through Raid Finder. To take on this challenge, you’ll need to get your guild or a group of friends together, or head to Group Finder > Premade Groups. The raid scales for your group size (between 10 — 30 players) and your level and gear will be scaled back to match the raid’s challenges.

Want to relive the time you first defeated Teron Gorefiend? Face the Reliquary of Souls once more? Witness the showdown between Maiev and Illidan before the final fight? Now’s your chance. Inside you can earn transmog sets, the pets you need for Raiding With Leashes III, a Music Roll: The Burning Legion, and gear drops. And for Demon Hunters, there’s the enticing possibility of obtaining the legendary Warglaives of Azzinoth.

Dungeons in The Burning Crusade Timewalking

All week, open Group Finder (default hotkey: i) and then select Dungeon Finder and Timewalking in the Type dropdown. When you hit ‘Find Group’, you’ll be matched up with other players and sent to one of the following Heroic dungeons:

  • The Arcatraz
  • The Black Morass
  • Magister’s Terrace
  • Mana-Tombs
  • Shattered Halls
  • The Slave Pens

Your character and items will be scaled down to a power level fitting for the challenge at hand, but bosses will yield loot appropriate for your natural level. Timewalking dungeons also have a chance to drop items that usually drop when you run them on Heroic, and you’ll earn reputation with a faction that is interested in the dungeon. For example, when you Timewalk through The Slave Pens, you’ll earn reputation with the Cenarion Expedition, which could open access to purchasing the Cenarion War Hippogryph mount.

Look for the following all week long:

  • Caretaker Kah'Toll in Oribos has a quest for you. Or, if you forget to pick it up there, you can start it from within the Adventure Journal.
    • Quest requirement: Complete 5 Timewalking dungeons.
    • Rewards: Normal difficulty Sanctum of Domination.
  • While Timewalking is active, you will gain a 50% bonus to reputations earned from quests and creature kills for all reputations associated with the corresponding expansion.

Every Week

The Bonus Events system consists of a rotating schedule of different activities, currently scheduled to run each week beginning on Tuesdays. Each Bonus Event grants a passive bonus to a particular game activity and offers a once-per-event quest with a noteworthy reward for accomplishing a related goal. The in-game calendar can serve as your one-stop reference for the event schedule. The Adventure Guide also offers a direct link to active Bonus Events, allowing you to easily accept any associated quests.

A calm week in Mythic+, where we see Windwalker move up in its weakest bracket and Fire actually see a drop anywhere, while Subtlety has a very good week and might be ready to dethrone the eternal blue king.
Note: The logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
This past week was Tyrannical, Bolstering, Explosive (and Tormented).
      All Keys
Windwalkers return to the top 3, correcting their drop from last week while Subtlety actually comes much closer to Fire's eternal throne. Arcane rises two into the top 5, pushing Affliction and Balance down, as Shadow sees the biggest movement in the high percentiles, jumping 4 into 8th. Marksmanship drops one and Havoc gets in-between the Warriors in the middle of the pack , as the bottom 5 remain the same, with Retribution dropping to dead last.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
The all percentages bracket is starting to look more like the 95th, as Subtlety takes 2nd place here as well, but Affliction is still doing a lot better and keeps its 3rd place at least. Arcane is doing even better here compared to last week, jumping 4 into 6th, while Fury dropped 3 spots seeing Havoc, Unholy and Survival pass it in the middle of the pack.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      High Keys
Fire hasn't managed to take over the +15s quite yet and the standings remain the same in the top 5, but 6th sees a big change as Havoc moves there, rising 2 spots. Survival and Assassination are the next to rise, 3 and 4 spots respectively, as Fury drops 3. All the specs are incredibly close in the 15s still, so even the bottom of the pack is doing really well here.

Mythic+15 All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
Windwalker retains its No.1 spot in the 20ies and Fire actually drops a space, as Subtletly had a really good week across all keys it seems. Arms and Arcane both moved up, with the Warrior spec surpassing the Mage along the way. Havoc jumped 3 spots and almost made it to the top 5, while Assassination was the biggest mover, rising a whole 7 spots into 8th!
Mythic+20 All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides or our extensive Mythic+ guides as well, which have tier lists, dungeon rankings and more.
