Very Easy and Fast Torghast Companion Farm

Recommended Posts

If you're still missing some mission table companions or want to get a few on an alt/recently Covenant swapped character, there's a very easy and fast way to do it this week! Well, that is provided you didn't do the latest campaign quest yet.

The "A Paladin's Soul" campaign quest for this week has us going into a special instanced area in Torghast (similar to how we went to find Jaina and company) and apparently it has a very big chance of also spawning a Torghast event almost immediately in the very first room, according to Eyegleam. Now, this isn't guaranteed to be a companion, and the event itself also isn't a 100% spawn chance, however it takes SO little time to reset it while on the quest that you can get pretty much any/all companions gathered up very quickly.

Normally you'd have to get to some higher floors of Torghast for some of the companions, so this is an extremely handy method - unless you already did the quest. Apologies for the late heads-up in the week, but we didn't really know about this until recently. But even if you've already done it on your main, at least it's good to know for when an alt that uses the mission table gets to this quest in the campaign.

it seems Blizzard silently nerfed 10K xp/material missions for companions.I got many L60 alts and used to get 2-3 missions with 10K XP item on all of them everyday, since today's reset I didn't get a any such mission..

Those were always 1.5k XP base + (Bonus XP -or- Profession Chest), and still exist.

Has anyone found Ben btw?

I haven't yet, but if I get around to farming for him specifically I'll speed run 6's since that's normally good enough to unlock all companions being able to appear. TC on a level you can reliably farm is also a good way to get missing companions, as well as missing mobs to use Ravenous Orb on or bosses you haven't RNG'ed yet.

I think this may have been stealth nerfed 😠

I just ran 10 resets on my NL Warlock and there were no spawns at either spawn point at near the beginning of the scenario.  Disappointing as I only got to use this on one alt.  This is another thing that should be granted if you have already found them for a specific covenant on another character.

EDIT: I can confirm that this has not been nerfed as of 10/15/2021.  I figured out my issue -- I had not completed the Box of Many Things quest yet on this particular character and the instance kept spawning the NPC needed for that quest instead of the companions.  As soon as I completed the Box of Many Things quests the companions started to show up.

War Within Alpha should be just around the corner! When do we expect the latest expansion testing to start?
If you've been keeping an eye on the World of Warcraft 2024 roadmap, you're likely excited about what's coming up! According to the roadmap, the War Within Alpha is expected to kick off sometime after Patch 10.2.6, which was released two weeks ago, and before the beginning of Season 4.

Typically, a season lasts 22 weeks. Right now, we're in the 20th week of Season 3, with just about two weeks left. Let's break down the hypothetical timeline:
Season 3 Week 20: Week of March 26 Season 3 Week 21: Week of April 2 Season 3 Week 22: Week of April 9 Season 4 Week 1: Week of April 15 This schedule suggests that the War Within Alpha could potentially launch as early as next week or during the week of April 9.
The most recent news from the War Within camp came on March 27, when Blizzard rolled out a fresh encrypted internal build on the WoW Dev CDN. The internal builds are becoming more and more frequent which indicates Blizzard's ramping up to start testing in the very near future.
Placeholder for tweet 1772901807448052151 In the meantime, we encourage you to check out everything coming in the War Within pre-patch that will release 1 month before the actual expansion.

It appears that Plunderstorm isn't the only new mode Blizzard plans to add to WoW this year.
Holly Longdale today teased an upcoming PvE-oriented event that will soon be revealed to us. Holly might be talking about the "Timerunning Pandamonium," expected in Patch 10.2.7.

      Greetings Citizens of Azeroth,
It’s been great seeing so many players taking the plunge into Plunderstorm and we’ve loved seeing all of the stories and feedback as this experimental event evolves. It will be exciting to see some of the community content creators going head-to-head as duos during the Plunderstorm Creator Royale on March 30!  This isn’t the end of the things we want to try in World of Warcraft, however, and we have more in store we can’t wait to show you.
Dragonflight Season 4 is in route as testing begins on the PTR and we’ll have more news to share soon™ on the next experiment we have up our sleeves. We hope those of you who are looking for PvE focused content will enjoy what we’re planning, all while we continue to press forward on development of our next expansion for World of Warcraft— The War Within.
We can’t wait to share with you all the many things the team has been hard at work on.
With gratitude and excitement for what we’ll do together next,
      Holly Longdale
