Sanctum of Domination Mythic and Heroic DPS Log Rankings, Week 7: Survival Moves Into the Top 5

This week in the Sanctum proves Survival's rise wasn't a fluke, as the melee Hunters keep moving up the charts, both in the upper percentiles and in the more generalist ones! We're also taking a quick look at Mythic Sylvanas logs in particular, now that almost 200 guilds have downed her.

Mythic Rankings

Fury is pushing up in the high percentages after dominating the overall charts last week, as Windwalker keeps its top spot and Elemental falls 2 places. Demonology falls the most in the upper half of the rankings, losing 3 spots, while Outlaw makes its way up a huge 7 spots and ends up the biggest winner this week. We do also see Survival pick itself up massively this week, as it rises from almost the very bottom to the middle of the pack, just before Marksmanship.

The big news here in the more generalist rankings is still Survival, as it's doing even better than in the top percentiles, moving into 5th place after being in solid shape last week as well, proving that wasn't just a fluke. When you see a Hunter spec appear in the top like that, you really just assume it's Marksmanship, but the melee Hunters have broken through - now let's just see if they're here to stay. The other big underdog story is Feral, as it rose a lot this week too, jumping 5 spots and into the top 10! The Monks take back their top spot from the usurper Fury, which actually falls quite a bit into 4th this week, even getting passed by Arms, which is back in 2nd place. Affliction seems to be here to stay, as it isn't budging from it's very persistent top spots, while Demonology drops even further in the generalist rankings, down 4 in 9th.

Sylvanas Mythic

The orange dominates the top two spots and Balance is still the spec to be on the final encounter of the Sanctum, as Retribution and Arms are neck and neck in the two-handed melee face-off.

Heroic Rankings

Heroic remains very stable, but we do see Assassination move up one spot and make the top 2 very yellow! Survival isn't quite making the splash it has been recently on Mythic here, as it remains near the bottom, joined by Affliction which has also been very high in Mythic for a long time. It's very possible the Mythic rankings follow suit a little later in the cycle, as we get more and more data on the latter bosses, however.

As always, if you want even more info on a spec, you can check out our class guides here, or for even more data, head on over to Warcraft Logs.

This is clickbait. Survival's position in the logs is highly volatile due to its low parse count. The sudden jump in parse count was due to one SV Hunter killing KT and pulling good DPS (11k). Since the other two parses (yes, there are THREE SV parses on KT) were both in the 7k range this caused SV's over all average to jump up by a lot. You CANNOT make judgments of a spec's performance with such a low parse count. MM dominates SV on all bosses but one in the raid yet this article is making it sound like SV is the best one.

In their continued effort to remove inappropriate references from the game, Blizzard desexualized two paintings in this week's Patch 9.1.5 Build 40196.
The first in-game painting of a woman was completely replaced with a fruit painting. We compare both paintings below.
      Old 9.1.0 Painting

      New 9.1.5 Painting

The second painting is an update that adds more armor and fidelity.

Blizzard continues to remove inappropriate references from the game. In Patch 9.1.5 alone, they renamed multiple achievements, Mac'Aree to Eredath, and more.
