Shadowlands 9.1 Season 2 Mythic+ DPS, Tank and Healer Log Rankings, Week 10: Windwalkers Slowly Rising

Recommended Posts

We're taking another look at the tanks and healers this week in addition to our usual DPS logs, where Windwalkers are very steadily moving up (with one small exception), slowly securing themselves as the top DPS pick between this and their No.1 spot over in the Sanctum. Fire is still moving up, this time in the higher keys as well and we'll have to wait until 9.1.5 to see it go anywhere but up.

Note: The logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.

This past week was Fortified Fortified, Sanguine SanguineNecrotic Necrotic (and Tormented Tormented).

All Keys

While Windwalker goes from strength to strength in raids, it's actually dropping down a little here in the 95th percentile, losing 3rd to Outlaw - but it's going real strong in all other brackets to compensate. The top 3 is now the very familiar Mage 2 Rogues setup, with Fire not moving and more and more yellow coming up, although Assassination won't be joining its friends any time soon from its 16th spot. Balance lost its top 5 spot to Affliction, which climbed 2, getting past Arcane as well, while Shadow dropped quite a bit into 12th.

Affliction is on the move in the generalist bracket as well, moving into 2nd and pushing Subtletly down with its fellow yellow spec, as Windwalker actually moves up 2 and grabs the final top 5 spot, taking advantage of Arcane's giant 5-spot drop to 10th. Some good news for Hunters, as Marksmanship rises 3 into 7th, but Survival and Beast Mastery stay in the lower end of the bracket.

High Keys

All the specs are still nice and snug in the +15s, and the top 2 isn't budging but we do have a new 3rd, with Windwalkers determined to showcase their power in all PvE content and all difficulties. Outlaw pushed past Arms, Marksmanship rose due to Arcane's big drop this week, Fury surpassed Havoc and that's about it for the upper part of the bracket, while not much changed in the lower.

And finally we see Windwalker achieving its goal. It's right on top in the +20ies, same as it is over in the Sanctum, as it managed to move up in almost all brackets this week and secure itself as one of the best DPS specs out there at the moment. Fire is gaining ground in the high keys now as well, so we'll soon be facing an all-Fire-all-the-time-in-all-brackets top spot situation, although 9.1.5 should address that as the AoE cap's power is lessened for other specs as well and Fire isn't the only one with massive AoE potential. In the Rogue encampment, Oulaw went up as Assassination went down, and in the crazy world of +20ies Arcane actually rose 3 spots as well!

Tanks and Healers

We're taking a look at the past 2 weeks for tanks and healers today as well and, unlike the raid log rankings, the Mythic+ numbers for them are just as relevant as for the DPS, as they are based on points and the number of players completing keys (and not much less relevant stats like HPS and DPS like in raid logs).

Unfortunately the rankings don't change much at all for the two roles, with Protection Paladins moving from 6th to 5th, and literally nothing changing for the healers!

Undaunted, the deaf and hard-of-hearing Warcraft guild, have completed Ahead of the Curve: Sylvanas Windrunner. Congratulations!
Undaunted is at it again! The guild earned AotC Denathrius and cleared 3/10 Mythic Castle Nathria on March 26, 2021. Yesterday, a post on Reddit revealed that they now downed Sylvanas on Heroic difficulty. Now, Mythic difficulty awaits. We wish them the best of luck! Here is a screenshot of the guild shared on Reddit.

In something that has now become a new WoW tradition, players have been gathering to celebrate the end of Summer as we now have a very thematic seasonal clock in the game! The circle is complete as we've now seen all 4 variations of the mount in-game as well.
While WoW is pretty static when it comes to seasons and, well, time in general, we now have a really cool connection to the real world in the form of the Wandering Ancient tree mount, so we'll be seeing gatherings like these below a lot!

      Source: Galaxy_119.
And some will be showing the tree off in its natural habitat, proving that even ancients can be VERY stealthy in the right conditions:

      Source: drinnster.
The Wandering Ancient is really awesome and adds extra interactivity and "feel" of the world - definitely one of the better additions to WoW in recent memory and we hope to see these little changing of seasons rituals continue on forever!
In case you're new or missed when the mount arrived, it should be in your mount collection tab already as  gift if you have Shadowlands purchased, now head on out there and showcase the new Fall colors!
