Blizzard Co-Leader Mike Ybarra Creates Group Finding Discord

It seems Mike "Qwik" Ybarra, Blizzard's co-leader, isn't done with his community interaction, and is now expanding it to, well, anyone! He has made a Discord server for to everyone interested in finding a group for any Blizzard game (and potentially some others as well), focusing on WoW and Mythic+ in particular:

You could even end up playing with Blizzard's co-lead yourself, as he frequently asks for various roles for his own runs. He also will not be talking about any plans or what's going on behind the scenes for WoW specifically, but might talk about game development in general and will read suggestions for improvements:

I will not answer any WoW roadmap/future features, etc. questions here. Ion and team answer those ?
...
Yeah I will answer game dev, personal etc questions but not work items relating to future things. Fine to suggest things.

He also mentioned that he's well aware of the potential for the server to get out of hand (both in terms of player numbers and comments that might appear), but he has the solution for that too:

I don't know discord well. Someday I will find someoen who does ?
...
But if it does [get out of hand], deleting this is easy.

Just how successful this discord will be remains to be seen, as there are many similar LFG servers out there, but you can be sure this one will draw plenty of attention due to its high-profile creator (and there's already plenty of well-known WoW community faces on there as well). However it plays out, this is another really good sign that Ybarra actually is one of the WoW community and has good intentions for the game and the players, so let's see what happens!

Blizzard have been out of touch for a long time with their community, so this is a healthy development.
Naturally this is partly PR, but it's a good way for both parties so I'm ok with that.

When your in-game group finder is so bad and filled with bots and ads you have to make one outside the game, how can this be seen as anything but a condemnation of the in-game group finder??

Yeah. I mean it does not really work all that well. This is a real 'pro' move given they won't be responsible for what happens on discord.

I won't call it a big breakthrough as invite only communities had their discords almost as early as the m+ itself.

It's awfully convenient to set up your tags and ilvl bracket even a specific dungeon and be notified when a gig is open for whatever it is you can contribute.

As far as spam goes you'll be trading ads for discord scammers with an open server like this.

If you plan on buying the physical War Within Collector's Edition and live in Europe, you're going to have a bad time!
Blizzard has ceased distributing WoW Collector's Editions through retailers with the release of Dragonflight, making the Blizzard Store the only place to buy them. However, the shipping costs could be a dealbreaker for many collectors eager to acquire the latest edition for the upcoming expansion.
Reddit user katamai from Serbia posted a screenshot of their order, revealing that the shipping fees exceed the cost of the box itself—280 Euros for shipping compared to 200 Euros for the box, totaling 480 Euros.

Additionally, Emi, a follower on our Facebook page, reported a shipping cost of 99 Euros to Romania, nearly ten times what it costs to ship to the UK.

A practical workaround might be to order the Collector's Edition to a UK address and then use a shipping service to forward it to your address in Europe, potentially saving a considerable amount of money.
How much does it cost to ship the box to your country?

We've already talked about and taken a first look at the Delve-specific mount coming in the War Within, but now it's time to check out all of its customization options!
LeystTV has delved into the mount and shown off all the options, from the different colors to nose, wing, thruster, and top customizations, with glider, blimp, helicopter looks and more! There's even different versions of Horde and Alliance decals to choose from!

And these may not even be all the options present at launch, not to mention new ones Blizzard might add with later patches, making this one of the cooler mounts in the game.
