New World: Aeternum introduces an all-new PvP zone being added to the Cutlass Keys territory, including new enemies, currency, and challenges.
Although New World: Aeternum's open beta was capped at level 30, that didn't stop players from still getting a closer look at the all-new PvP zone that is being introduced to the game. This new PvP zone will be added to the lower left corner of the map (attached to Cutlass Keys), and will be an end-game location, filled with high-leveled spectral enemies, unique raw materials to be gathered, and of course, new loot.
As players explore the new area, they will come across new chests containing a range of items being added to the game, including mystic dubloons and goldcursed coconuts - new ingredients that are required for players to craft powerful weapons and armor at maximum gear score (725).
The general player base is excited to experience this new zone, and are hungry for even more PvP activities and options to be added to the list of what's offered today (3v3 arenas, Outpost Rush Matches, Wars, and Influence Races).
To get a closer look at what this territory looks like, watch the video below.

With the New World: Aeternum open beta now live, you can experience the revamped lands of Aeternum first-hand. Here's what you can expect to see.
This post marks the official launch of the New World: Aeternum open beta (September 13, 9AM PT). This open beta will be playable until September 16, 9AM PT, so if you are interested in taking a closer look at what this game has to offer, now is your chance.
Regardless of if you plan on playing the open beta or not, we wanted to ensure you had a good idea of what you can expect to see throughout the beta experience.
This includes:
Total Customization: Everything from how your character looks, the weapons and tools you use, the mounts that you ride, the emotes you show off, and much, much more is totally up to you - the player. Within the open beta, you'll be able to get a full taste of what this customization really means, and how it affects your gameplay. PvP Options: Although the level cap for the open beta is level 30, you will still have the option to experience a range of PvP modes, including small-scale 3v3 arena battles and influence races, which is an open-world PvP experience where you capture towers and strike down opposing factions. Mounts: If you were a player that initially tried New World out for its initial PC launch, you missed out on experiencing how mounts are implemented throughout the game. Within the open beta, you'll be able to unlock mounts at level 20, and get a better feel of how the mount system will impact your New World Aeternum experience. Amrine Excavation Expedition: Players will be able to experience one of the first expeditions you'll encounter in New World Aeternum - the Amrine Excavation. This will give players a taste of the PvE experience in the game, and their take on "dungeons". Day 1 Rewards: As you explore the land of Aeternum and level up your character during the open beta, you'll be able to receive exclusive rewards, such as: Aeternian Trailblazer: Participate in the open beta Vambrace of the Aeternian Adventurer (Gloves): Reach level 10 Jackboots of the Aeternian Adventurer (Footwear): Reach level 15 Britches of the Aeternian Adventurer (Legwear): Reach level 20 Tricorn of the Aeternian Adventurer (Headwear): Reach level 25 Greatcoat of the Aeternian Adventurer (Chestwear): Reach level 25 To learn more about the New World: Aeternum open beta, click here.

Learn more about the open beta for New World Aeternum, including the in-game rewards you can unlock by participating.
It's official - the open beta for New World: Aeternum is coming to all platforms (PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S) on September 13, 2024 (9 AM PT). This announcement has generated a lot of buzz for both new and returning players alike as they consider embarking this adventure throughout Aeternum in a whole new way.
Players can enjoy this open beta up until September 16 (9 AM PT), where they'll be able to get a look and feel of the revamped experience and updated main story quest. One important note is that there will be a level cap of level 30 within this open beta, limiting players from getting a closer look at some of the new end-game content that's coming to the game (such as the new PvP zone in Cutlass Keys, and the new 10-man raid).
Regardless, this is a great chance to learn more about New World: Aeternum, experience first-hand how it feels on console, and get an inside-look of all the updates that have been made.
By participating in this open beta, players will be given the opportunity to unlock limited-edition skins that will be available for their characters for the official launch of the game (on October 15, 2024). By reaching level 25 within the open beta, players will be able to unlock all potential rewards, which include the "Aeternian Trailblazer" title, and a full set of a new skin known as the "Aeternian Adventurer" set.
This open beta will be available for all players in North America, South America, Europe, and APAC.

GENERAL FIXES
Fixed a bug that allowed players to endlessly spam abilities. Fixed an issue that caused certain crests to not appear in the list of a player’s available crests when they were entitled to them. Fixed an issue that caused quest resets to repeat lore and map unlock rewards. Added a speculative fix for an issue that caused Void Destroyers to turn invisible in Invasions and the Tempest Heart Expedition. We will continue to monitor the forums to see if players are still encountering this rare issue after the update. Fixed a bug that caused players to not get achievement progress for total Trade Skill ranks. Fixed an issue that caused various quest-giver NPCs to turn invisible. Thanks for your support!
