In the meantime, Blizzard announced they're working on a new survival game for PC and console and a new Lunar Year Tiger mount was released in World of Warcraft. With no 9.2 release date announced just yet, we can expect WoW and Overwatch-related announcements soon, according to another tweet from January 25.

Yeah, they just keep teasing us that announcements are coming soon. Spent all week waiting for some announcement they promised last week. Getting a little tired of their bait and switch.

though, to be fair, I think they're trying to take it slow since people now have a damaged trust

2 more last week of January

Well... tomorrow is the 31st, can't get much more "last week" than that. So announcements tomorrow?

"Soontm", while a long running joke about Blizzard when they say "Soon", it may as well be one of their actual trademarks. lol

They announced the new game this week. That was the announcement they teased originally.

I think "damaged" is a pretty big understatement

Their new survival game was their big announcement, even though it's kinda weird. They had never announced their games through job listings before. Sure, there were "unannounced project" offers before that, but back then it was just a posting on their site, it was never accompanied by a blue post saying what it's going to be. When any official announcement happened, it wasn't until they had something to show, a title, some trailer and info on their site as well.

And? It's probably 10 years until that game is done. No reason to overhype it with no content currently available to show. They teased, that's enough.

We have new information coming out of a GamerBraves interview with Art director Jeremy Collins and Senior Software Engineer Andy Lim, as they explain that the game will not feature loot boxes or NFTs. Many players were concerned as the game wasn't available in Belgium, where there are strict laws aginst loot boxes and similar mechanics, but with Blizzard's clarification that may change before it is released.
“There’s no loot box mechanics or anything like that in the game. If you want to purchase a unit, you basically scroll down to the bottom of the store, we have various different bundle sizes, you buy a bundle coin and spend it exactly on what you want because it is already in your store and you can buy it right then. So there’s no conjecture on what you’re getting at the end of the day.”
They have also confirmed that there will be no NFTs in the game. We didn’t expect that there would be, but it’s good to know that there won’t.

There's plenty more information on the game in the interview, from the 5 families you can choose, the PvE focus and 70 missions, the differences between it and Clash Royal, and more, so make sure to read the whole thing over at GamerBraves.

We have two gameplay videos to check out, featuring the new Arclight Ruble game, as we get to see it in action! First off, Towelliee has put together a video of his own experiences with the new Warcraft mobile game, as he details some features while showing off a solid chunk of gameplay as well.
The second video, from 巴哈姆特電玩瘋 (via snailkill3r), shows off the shop, team editing and then a different mission:

You can check out the official announcement here, and sign up for the beta here.

We have two unofficial statements and some minimum specs to check out for the Warcraft mobile game, as Towelliee might have some inside info on the matter. Let's start with the official information, as the minimum specs for the game are iOS (6S and up) and Android (S7 and up), as noted in the reveal.
Towelliee talked about the release window for the game during his reveal stream, as there's nothing specific yet, but it is expected in 2022. With the Diablo: Immortal change and recent PC addition, the "is it coming to PC" question is a big one. But it seems Arclight Rumble is not getting the Immortal treatment, as Towelliee talked with Blizzard, and got some information about the mobile focus of the game and seemingly no plans for PC (clipped by Wowhead) :

President and COO Daniel Alegre informed the community that Activision Blizzard will halt new sales in Russia, rendering players unable to renew their subscriptions.
      (Source)
      Team -
Throughout the past week, we have watched the news from Ukraine and the worsening humanitarian crisis that is unfolding. Our company’s commitment is to help those impacted by this terrifying violence and to provide assistance in every way possible.
Today, we are announcing that Activision Blizzard will be suspending new sales of and in our games in Russia while this conflict continues. We will continue to look at ways to support the Ukrainian people. I want to reassure you that the safety of our employees is our leadership team’s top priority. We are doing everything possible to assist employees, and their families, who are being directly affected by this tragedy. If you or a colleague needs support, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your manager or local HR leaders. I’d also like to remind you that our Employee Assistance Program is available to those who need emotional support during this difficult time.
I also want to take a moment to recognize the incredible work of our teams to support the Ukrainian people. The company is matching employee donations 2:1 to organizations providing immediate relief in the region. Together we have raised over $300,000 in this effort. Next week we plan to add additional charities to choose from for consideration and also will raise the company matching limit from $1,000 to $10,000.
I’d also like to applaud the tremendous contributions from our colleagues in Poland, where people have volunteered their time to assist Ukrainian refugees and others in need. We continue to work with them to find ways we can further assist this effort. We stand with the Ukrainian people and will provide updates on any new actions we take as this crisis continues to unfold.
      Daniel

Due to the ongoing Microsoft acquisition, there was no earnings call for Q4 2021. Instead, Activision Blizzard posted a press release, where we learn about "substantial new content" planned for the Warcraft franchise in 2022, including a new mobile game.
We summarized highlights of the press release below:
In 2021, World of Warcraft delivered its strongest engagement and net bookings outside of a Modern expansion year in a decade.  Hearthstone's fourth-quarter net bookings grew year-over-year, driven by a steady cadence of new content. Blizzard is planning substantial new content for the Warcraft franchise in 2022, including new experiences in WoW and Hearthstone, and getting all-new mobile Warcraft content into players' hands for the first time. In the Diablo franchise, Diablo 2 Resurrected sold through more units from its September release until the year-end than any other Activision Blizzard remaster over an equivalent period. On mobile, Diablo Immortal concluded its public testing with positive feedback. Blizzard is making strong progress on its pipeline, including new experiences in Warcraft, ongoing development in Diablo and Overwatch, and an exciting new IP (most likely the recently-unveiled survival game). Activision Blizzard had 371 million monthly active users in Q4 2021. You can read the full press release here.
