Blizzard added a Covenant Ability for Dracthyr Evokers in the latest Dragonflight Alpha build.

Evokers will be available in the Shadowlands pre-patch for those who pre-order Dragonflight. The class didn't exist before, so they had to add a new Covenant Ability for Evokers. It's called Boon of the Covenants Boon of the Covenants and it restores health and increases Versatility for 12 seconds. The passive component increases all damage and healing by 4%.

Boon of the Covenants Boon of the Covenants - Call upon the Covenants of the Shadowlands to aid you restoring [ 600% of Spell Power ] health and increasing your Versatility by 10% for 12 sec.

Passive: The Covenants have granted you a portion of their power, increasing your damage and healing by 4.0%.

(Instant cast, 2 min cooldown)

Guess they had to have something for the couple of weeks they'll be available before the launch of DF.

It seems only Legion content will be strangely empty for them, because they aren't getting class hall and related quests.

Well, iirc people can play the dracthyr early when they preorder so when prepatch goes live, they'll be available technically during SL for at least 2 weeks. Like how a DH armor set was added to HFC during WoD because early access to the class was a pre purchase bonus.

Makes sense, they can easily reuse one of the mail sets. Even not in its entirety, as for Dracthyr not every piece of armor is displayed.

Oh I had just assumed everyone was getting their DF talent trees and covenants were shutting down like theyve done with all the other past borrowed powers. This was an unexpected possibility

Considering they start at 58, probably not something that will be addressed until they're looking to add DF to Chromie Time at least six years from now? For people that want to go back and open up Legion content, they will probably add some breadcrumb quests to bridge the lack of a mission table and/or adjust existing quest/achievement requirements .

If they follow suit from Demon Hunters/Allied Races and make them playable during pre-patch for people who've already purchased the expansion, providing covenant/legendary powers for them makes sense for the month or two they'll be available, and futureproofing for the next squish when DF gets added to Chromie Time, as well as going back and doing unlocks/quests/achievements.

This week's Dragonflight Beta update reveals more information about the new Dragonflight Season 1 affix - Thundering!
The new affix will be active in all +10 runs and above. It is themed after Raszageth, the final boss found within the Vaults of the Incarnates raid. It is very similar to Quaking.
Thundering - While in combat, players are periodically caught in Raszageth's unending storm. As the storm passes, players discharge excess energy that can damage and stun allies.

Mythic +0 dungeons and Raid Finder bosses no longer drop Rare Quality gear on the Beta. The seemingly visual change has been reverted to Epic Quality.
In the previous build ,we reported about Mythic +0 dungeons and select Raid Finder bosses in the Vaults raid dropping Rare Quality gear.

However, Blizzard has reverted the loot quality to its previous state and Mythic +0 dungeons as well as bosses on Raid Finder difficulty again drop Epic Quality gear.

Tier sets and set bonuses are now available for testing on the Dragonflight Beta. You can purchase them from a vendor on the Valdrakken max level realm.
Talk to Setzertauren in Orgrimmar and Stormwind to get started!

Please note Tier Sets are only available for testing on Valdrakken. Koranos and Tyrhold do not have them. Happy testing!
