The Shadowlands 9.2.7 update arrives to World of Warcraft on August 16!

AUCTION HOUSE UPDATE: REGION-WIDE COMMODITIES

  • Auction Houses across all realms on a given region will now share commodity listings (gems, herbs, flasks, consumables, etc.). Items that aren't commodities–like armor and weapons–will continue to be realm-specific.

THE AUCTION HOUSE JOINS THE WOW COMPANION APP

  • Players can now do the following from the WoW Companion App:
    • Browse and view current auctions
    • Bid and buyout auctions
    • Search for auctions
    • Add and remove items from your Favorites list
    • View and cancel your listed auctions
    • Developers' note:  We are very pleased to be able to bring the Auction House back as a part of the WoW Companion App. The new app update provides a way for players to make purchases, view listings, and more. Due to our desire to provide an Auction House experience in a more immediate timeframe we have excluded listing items for sale. While we understand selling items is a much-loved part of the past feature from the previous Remote Auction House, we wanted to provide access to many of the features regularly used by players as quickly as we could with an eye on potential additions to the app in the future. We intend to make improvements as we evaluate player usage, risk, and the developmental load in implementing tech frameworks to support future updates. Learn more about this update on our latest post.

USER INTERFACE AND ACCESSIBILITY

  • A new chat channel for searching or advertisement of services like raiding, dungeons, or PvP activities has been added: Trade (Services).
    • Developers' note: The trade channel that’s been in the game for 18 years will continue to exist, but we wanted to add a new channel to direct messages about the request and advertisement of services like raiding, dungeons, or PvP activities. If you’re looking to buy or sell these kind of services, this is the channel for you! If you’re not interested in those, you can leave the channel and avoid the noise, or move it into its own chat tab. We believe that with this new distinction, you’ll be able to keep Trade chat for the traditional buying and selling of items and professions, and not other chatter.

I wonder if the likes of you ever learn that demand creates supply.
Fighting it is pointless, might as well try and incorporate it.

They could stop it.

They'd have to be a lot more heavy handed than they are now to do it though.

I personally don't see the point in getting boosted. I'd rather just play the game, but I couldn't care less if others do it. From a PVE standpoint, I don't see how others getting boosted affects you at all.

Not really mutually exclusive to what I am saying though is it? I can still have a negative opinion on something that exists, and will probably exist until WoW is dead, even if as a business standpoint (which, as a player, I could frankly care less about) it is a positive at Blizzard.

I can understand the perspective but also feel that any accomplishment is utterly diminished when someone can spend 17 quid to achieve any semi-challenging content in the game, especially now that they're adding in-game advertising for said thing.

At the end of the day I've got my keystone master, and will get the slime cat mount next reset, and will unsub less than 1 month into a season and forget about the game until Dragonflight because this is how I feel about spending time and money on a game that caters to P2W services. Especially when it shamelessly advertises these services by adding channels for it.

IamEllekk recreated Eversong Woods using Houdini and Blender and here's the result.
As you can see in the below image, we have the characteristic Blood Elf architecture and the Burning Crystal.

We're back in the department of fortunate loot drops, this time, with Tindral Sageswift dropping four copies of the same item.
Tindral blessed a very lucky raid group with 4 pieces of Eternal Kindler's Greatstaff. While this isn't the record-breaking group who looted 5 Smoldering Seedlings from Larodar, it's still nice to see good old Tindral handing so many copies of the same item!

Throne of the Tides Updated the model used by the Ink of Ozumat to reduce the visual effects at its base. Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope Smolderon Fixed an issue where players would sometimes gain multiple stacks of Ignited Essence from 1 Living Flame. Fixed an issue where a Seeking Inferno could explode twice on Mythic difficulty. Tindral Sageswift Fallen Feathers now spawn 6 feathers on Mythic Difficulty (was 4). Items
Fixed an issue that caused the Large Renown bag of Dragon Isles Supplies to always unintentionally contain a Dream Wardens Tabard. Fixed an issue that could cause Gift of Urctos to fail to grant its bonuses. Quests
Fixed an issue preventing “Something Different” from being properly completed by PvP Brawls. Fixed an issue causing a Hunt choice to be unintentionally greyed out for “Aiding the Accord: The Hunt is On”.

Blizzard have detailed an upcoming nerf coming "soon" (presumably today) to the pendultimate boss of Amirdrassil Mythic. Players will now be getting 2 extra feathers so more can dragonride and grab the orbs, and especially to do more damage to the roots.
      Tindral (Source)
With a hotfix that we’ll apply to the game soon:
Tindral Sageswift Fallen Feathers now spawn 6 feathers (was 4) on Mythic Difficulty. And as always, this change will be listed later in our Hotfixes Update.
