[US-STORMRAGE][A] PENANCE REBORN - WEEKEND RAIDING

Recommended Posts

Short:

Penance Reborn is a semi hard core raiding guild.  We are recruiting dps/healers for our 25m team as well as those looking for a fun guild for Warlords.  We raid Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 9pm EST to 11pm EST (STORMRAGE SERVER TIME).

Long:

Background

Penance Reborn, originally known as Never Look Back (Carine Horde), was built up by Imortalfrost (AKA Vokdah/Kittykity), Zeronesis, and some really good friends when Mist of Pandaria came out. After many attempts of collecting together a raid team and making their guild strong, they found that the server was dying and it was time to move on. With a little luck, a few of the guildies played on Stormrage (Alliance) for some time and decided to move their guild. After much effort, Zeronesis, Heyheyy, and Imortalfrost moved their guild to Stormrage, where they quickly made friends with many players, although, still something was missing. Known as Funtastic With Class, they found they couldn't pull together anything they wanted, and everything seemed to overwhelm them. Imortal and Zero had their baby and let the guild die off. Christmas came and went (2013) and as 2014 hit, Imortalfrost met someone by the name of Valdanya. After much discussion, Imortalfrost, Handles, Valdanya, and Zeronesis decided to, once again, get the guild up and functioning again, but this time, it would be very different. Now, we watch as this guild, Penance Reborn, grows and continues to succeed thanks to the efforts of the friends they have made. "Without my officers, I just wouldn't be able to do this myself," says Imortalfrost, "I love my guild and do my best to help anyone any chance I get."

"We strive to have the best, a casual feel to a great guild as well as a hard core feel to the raid team without putting a lot of stress on our members to farm things."

Raid requirements

  • Addon requirements:  You must have installed and have turned on VEM, Vent (do NOT mute it), Boss Notes, and Recount.

  • Time requirements:  You must be online and fully ready for an invite 15 minutes to raid time. Be ready to walk in the raid, have all your gemming, enchanting, and reforging done on your own time.

  • Upgrade requirements:  If you get a new piece of gear during the raid and choose to equip it, you must not slow the raid.  We will not wait for you to reforge, gem, and enchant.  If you can do it on the run or during break, go for it, otherwise, WAIT!

  • Raid lead requirements:  Everyone, and we mean EVERYONE, listens to the raid leader without question.  We will NOT accommodate ONE person (unless 100% necessary) in what they WANT. JUST LIKE IN A PUG GROUP!

  • Vent requirements:  Vent is silent!  The only talking is the tanks saying taunt if needed, or call outs as asked by the raid leader. Otherwise the Raid Lead will be the only one talking.

  • Raid awareness requirements:  You must be aware of where others are standing in raids and be prepared to move/adjust. (ex.  only one tank should ever be in front of iron jug)

  • Self awareness requirements:  You must know what gear you NEED!  We will revoke your roll rights on gear if you are rolling on pieces you do not need.  Loot counseling WILL be in effect!  You must also be aware of your toon.  Learn what CD's you have, how to save yourself from dying, etc.

  • Raid composition requirements:  We will not take more than 2 of ANY class (unless pugging) to our raids.  Guild council will take a vote on replacing those that do not meet our expectations.

  • Break requirements:  There will be a 5 minute break in between each wing given we are moving along quickly. (if it takes more than 30 min for any wing there will not be a break between wings unless its a progression grind).

  • Tank requirements:  You must be able to have enough self awareness to join us. There is no longer an item level requirements if you can PROVE you can handle it without stressing the group.  Tanks MUST have a microphone and have no more than 120 MS world or home.  Must be able to see mechanics clearly and act quickly on screw ups.

  • DPS requirements:  You must be able to hold your weight against the others.  There is no longer an item level requirements so long as you can PROVE you can handle your toon correctly.  If you cannot follow mechanics properly, we will replace you.

  • Heal requirements:  The item level requirement for healers has been reduced from 540 to 530 so long as you can keep the group alive.  You must beable to pull 100k+ HPS (only if heals are necessary).  Must beable to act quicky on cool downs when needed.

  • Group requirements:  Must be able to act quickly on call-outs. (ex. a tank dies and RL calls out for a dps to use their taunt at a certain time and alerts the healers that the dps will take excessive damage).  If you are repeatedly standing in a bad area, we will replace you.

  • Additional raid group suggestions:  Someone that deposits gold on a regular basis, always farming mats and making sure activities are complete will have a higher chance at gear and a raid spot over someone who shows up to raid and doesn't do anything else.

<Fun is for Casuals> is a serious but casual horde guild on US-Hyjal. We are serious about raiding without the intense hours. Even when recruitment status is none, we will accept exceptional applications for all classes. For a full list of what we're looking for check out https://funisforcasuals.enjin.com .
Our raid times are Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00PM to 8:00PM server (PST) with raid invitations sent out a few minutes prior to that.

We're interested in you if you fit the following criteria:
Raid attendance is essential. We don't want people sitting on the bench but we also want to make sure we're raiding 6 hours per week. We expect you to be available for at least 90% of our raids. Be on time and prepared for raids. This includes flasks and other consumables. Discord is mandatory and a working mic is desired. You're appropriately geared for our current content. Effort and thought have been put into your gear/gem/enchant choices. You wouldn't show up for a job interview looking like a scrub, why would you apply to a guild with improper gems or some insane spec? You're up to date with your class. We expect our raiders to perform to the best of their abilities. You have a computer that's not run with hamster power or requires a hand crank. Some encounters are taxing on a computer's resources so if your toon can't even handle Orgrimmar it's not likely to do well with 20+ whelps that need AOE'ing.
You may be interested in us because:
<Fun is for Casuals> uses the personal loot system. There is no loot council, or DKP. We won't eat your babies the first time you stand in something you have no business being in. Repeatedly do it and we'll break out the bibs and BBQ sauce. We provide a limited amount of consumables and flasks on hard mode raid nights. Discord isn't a circus during raids. We're focused on the job at hand and you should be too. We don't want someone to miss a an interrupt because they were distracted by fart jokes. We are not interested in you if you fit the following criteria:
You roll on BoE items then sell them. Unwilling/unable to spend an entire evening on one boss during progression. While this is rare, it can happen. Drama queens. If you have a problem bring it up to E. This is his job. Don't announce it in guild chat or during a raid. Your issue will have nothing to do with 99% of the guild. You are 17 or younger. We try to keep guild and discord chat PG-13 but occasionally a few four letter words appear out of nowhere. Additionally, we don't want someone's mom interrupting their raiding to get homework or the dishes done. Follow the instructions at https://funisforcasuals.enjin.com/ under the Recruitment tab if you would like to apply.
If you have any question, feel free to contact E. at DbD#1309

      ABOUT US:
Gordian Knot is a 20-man semi-hardcore raiding guild that consists of experienced raiders with some of them having raiding experience as far back as Vanilla.
We are a friendly group who enjoys World of Warcraft and loves raiding. We have fun and joke around but when bosses need to go down then all is serious! We wish for all our members to enjoy the game as much as we do and we expect raiders to maintain a 80% attendance per month.
We also enjoy a variety of other activities such as running a lot of Mythic+ dungeons doing alt-runs, achievement runs etc.
There are a few things we hold in high value but above else we value friendliness and politeness towards guildies and other players and skillfulness when it comes to the more serious parts of the game.
      CURRENTLY:
We raid 3 nights a week, Wednesdays, Sundays and Mondays, from 20:00 till 23:00 server time.
Although we are a 20-man guild, we usually run an extra group in order to get more people to experience the joys of raiding, help new raiders learn the Knot's way to down bosses and gearing up. Usually, these runs happen on Thursdays. Also, every Friday and sometimes Saturdays too, we're on RBGs killing alliance scums!
Saturdays are generally left for those RBGs or older content runs for fun and drinking!
Our current guild progress is 5/8 in The Eternal Palace mythic, and we're focusing on getting further Mythic progress. Our aim is to always progress as much as possible but also to have a relaxed and fun atmosphere at the same time!
If you're interested in joining Gordian Knot, please fill in our application form, located at https://gordian-knot.eu/apply/, alternatively please whisper one of our officers:

      FULL GUILD INFORMATION

Overdraft is a Mythic Progression Raiding guild on Sargeras.  We are a mythic progression guild on a casual (6 hour) schedule.  Overdraft is one of the top two-night guilds on US-Sargeras.

If you have strong situational awareness, know your class inside and out, and enjoy raiding in a friendly environment, OD might be the place for you!

      <<Raid Schedule >>

Overdraft has two core raid nights per week - Wednesdays and Sundays 7:00pm to 10:00pm EST.  We do not extend past those hours at launch nor for progression.

In addition to our raid schedule, various members run M+ on off nights and even some are altaholics who like to run Flex 30 content or even lower M+ keys.

      <<About Us>>

Overdraft was formerly part of the Currently Online community of Sargeras.  Currently Online is one of the largest ‘Mega Guilds’ in World of Warcraft. During our time with Currently Online, we were known as ‘Team Overdraft’ and decided after clearing Heroic Battle of Dazar’alor, to pursue becoming Mythic Progression focused raid team.

Overdraft is a group of adult, mature raiders that share a common vision: a skilled, progression raiding environment with a reasonable raiding schedule. We take raiding seriously and progress, but we refuse to lose sight of what’s truly important – having fun and maintaining balance. We are an all adult guild, 18+ required/21+ preferred. The majority of us have grown up playing WoW, with an average age of late 20s/early 30s.

OD guild members are working adults and act like adults. We treat each other with respect, and in doing so, earn it. From the raid leader down to trial members, you can expect a calm, cool, and collected demeanor and a respectful tone at all times. If you enjoy linking meters and raging at team members during progression, then this guild is NOT for you. If you thrive with a bit of constructive criticism and understand that raiding takes a whole team, not just one elite dps/tank/healer, then you are the right fit!
