Heroes of Arkesia,

The August “Under the Arkesian Sun” Update arrives in Arkesia tomorrow! Downtime for the update will begin on August 24 at 12AM PT (7AM UTC) and is expected to last 4 hours. Spotlight - Events & Features

Event Guardians

Event Guardians return to Arkesia! Enjoy a fun twist on Guardian Raids, where you’ll hunt down three Guardians (alone or with a group) in an arena with the Scale of Balance applied. To enter, you will need to be Combat Level 50 or above and Item Level 250 or above. Your goal is to attack the Event Guardian to cause it to drop buffs, which stack up to three times. The buffs will increase your damage output by a colossal amount. After defeating all three Guardians, tokens will drop in a rewards chest, which can be claimed once per day per character. Tokens from Event Guardians can be spent at an event vendor, who has a variety of valuable rewards that can be earned each week.

Pet Ranch

The Pet Ranch is a new location in the Stronghold where Pets can play, grow into more helpful companions, and help you earn valuable rewards. The cute and precious Pets aiding adventurers across Arkesia are ready to further help their worthy leaders by creating Jam Cookies and earning Pet Expertise to level up and unlock new abilities.

Pets can be upgraded to Legendary by reaching max Pet Expertise and spending Pet Growth Tokens, which can be earned by exchanging Jam Cookies. Once a Pet has been upgraded to Legendary, several features are unlocked. Legendary Pets are granted a (random) powerful skill, and at random intermittent intervals, one of 3 effects granted by the skill will be applied to you while in combat. There are 6 Pet Skills which can be randomly unlocked and switched between.

Learn more about the Pet Ranch, Legendary Pets, and the rewards you can earn in the Pet Ranch Lost Ark Academy!

Maharaka Festival - Blooming Mokokos

The leaves from the Maharaka Tree in Maharaka Paradise are known to bring good luck. Collect as many as you can during the Maharaka Festival and exchange them for valuable rewards! This month, the ongoing Maharaka festival will add a new activity— Blooming Mokokos. Taking place every other hour in Maharaka Paradise, you receive Gold by finding blooming Mokokos. The more Mokokos you find, the better your chances!

I haven't played this game for a while. Maybe someday I will return if our version catches up with Korean. Whole grind was pretty boring, wouldn't mind if it was just for cosmetics, but there were some potions that gave stat points and skill points to make character, so these collections felt rather mandatory. This and my server was losing players (less and less people doing events), lack of crossplay for outdoor content and no server transfer is an issue in this game.

I still play a lot, to me the secret is just make a new character when you get bored. They give out so many powerpasses and in combination with the knowledge transfer it's easy to try a new one out (then delete if you dont have the slots). And also if it's not a support: solo all guardians that arent named tytalos and asshates up to t3.

Yeah, this can work for some. However, I don't like most classes and don't enjoy making alts in general. Perhaps this combat type just isn't for me? I don't like when some classes have to mix ranged and melee, others have some gimmicks I dislike. Artillerist was the class I was playing and I haven't seen any alternatives. For example, I could never play something like Sharpshooter (annoying mechanics) or Gunslinger/Deadeye (too squishy and gimmicky).

This might be why Artillerist was the only one I found enjoyable, although he does have some drawbacks like abilities being locked to character animation, but at least he wasn't that squishy. As for Deadeye, I didn't like mechanics of switching weapons, in addition to them being quite squishy.

They are the squish yes, even without Grudge, but it's a very high skill ceiling which I love. And yea I love the switching and having so many more skills to use than other classes. Atm Striker is also very fun for me, but if you liked Artilerist you may enjoy Destroyer too with its shields and not needing to back attack/ignoring many boss abilities.

The September update arrives tomorrow and brings a ton of new content, from the new Machinist class to the new Legion raid, another Punika powerpass, special event mission, server merges, a new Fever Time event, the growth support effect will be extended to 1415, many new skins, 6 more character slots, the removal of the AFK kick timer and a lot more!
      September Update 2 (Source)
      Heroes of Arkesia,
The September “Rage with the Machinist” Update arrives in Arkesia tomorrow. Downtime for the update will begin on September 28 at 12AM PT (7AM UTC) and is expected to last 4 hours. Downtime for regions with server merges is expected to take longer, estimated up to 16 hours. The Machinist arrives in Arkesia armed to the teeth with highest-tech machine guns, laser weapons, and drones found in Arthentine— ready to blast, burn, and neutralize any threat with surgical precision. An old threat also resurfaces in the next Legion Raid; Mayhem Demon Legion Commander Kakul-Saydon and his dangerously alluring Midnight Circus. Find the full list of content, updates, new progression events, and bug fixes below.
      Spotlight
      Machinist Advanced Class
The Machinist is armed to the teeth with highest-tech machine guns, laser weapons, along with a Drone capable of remote, precise strikes and unique attacks. When standard weapons and drone strikes aren’t enough to take down a target, the Machinist can activate their identity skill and suit up in cutting-edge technology with the Hypersync ability. Energy cores for the high-tech Hypersync suit can be charged by landing attacks, and once entered, Hypersync core energy will be expended by abilities until the Machinist runs out.
The Machinist joining the Deadeye, Gunslinger, Artillerist, and Sharpshooter as the fifth Gunner Advanced Class. Learn more about the Machinist in the recent Lost Ark Academy focused on detailing its identity, Engravings, and skills.
      Kakul-Saydon Legion Raid
Kakul-Saydon enters the fray as the third Legion Raid. In this raid, you’ll face the insanity of the Midnight Circus as you battle members of the Mayhem Legion and Legion Commander Kakul-Saydon. No revives are available mid-battle, so be ready to fight for your life. Differing from Valtan & Vykas, Kakul-Saydon is a four-player Legion raid. This Legion Raid has 3 gates, and is complete with a swathe of new unique characteristics, abilities, and mechanics.
While players will need to be Item Level 1475 to attempt the Normal difficulty of the raid, an easier version of the raid called Midnight Circus: Rehearsal can be entered by players at Item Level 1385 to practice the difficult mechanics and teamwork required to vanquish the Mayhem Legion.
Rehearsal and Normal Modes share a weekly lockout per character. A character that clears Rehearsal Mode first will not be able to do Normal Mode that week.
Once a player has completed Normal Mode Kakul-Saydon in a given week they can no longer clear Rehearsal Mode that week on any character.
Doing Normal Mode first will grant the rewards that would have been obtained in Rehearsal Mode, in addition to all of the Normal Mode rewards.
A new special training feature has been added, and can be accessed by speaking to Beatrice in Trixion. The special training contains the same minigames encountered in the Kakul-Saydon Legon Raid for players to practice.
Two new items used in exchange for rewards are introduced in this raid: Mayhem Marks and Mayhem Trumpets. Mayhem Marks are used at the Legion Raid Exchange NPC to obtain various rewards, such as card packs, accessories, and more. Some of items have a weekly limit while others have a roster limit. Mayhem Horns are used to upgrade the bonuses provided by Legion Raid gear sets. These sets grant unique effects when 2, 4, or 6 pieces of the same set are equipped. These set effects can be increased using Mayhem Horns at a new Set Gear Management NPC available in all major cities. A new Guide Quest will be available detailing the new system in-game.
      New Progression Events
      Free Punika Powerpass
Players will receive a Punika Powerpass after completing Punika's quest “Berver's Friend”. To access this quest, players must first complete all Adventure Quests (marked by purple exclamation marks) on Punika to collect stamps and become a citizen. Once the final quest in this chain, “Honorary Punikan" has been completed, you can talk to Nia in Nia village to start "Berver's Friend." If you've already finished the quest before the update, you'll get the Powerpass when the event starts! This Event Powerpass will be delivered via in-game mail.
The Punika Powerpass will function like the North Vern Powerpasses available to players in the launch version of Lost Ark— once you’ve completed the storyline through that continent, you can use it to bring an alternate character to that point in the game. With the Punika Powerpass, you'll receive Item Level 1302 gear. This is an event Powerpass, and will expire on October 26.
      Special Event Missions
Similar to an Express Event, you can designate a character between item Level 1302 and 1415 on your roster to participate in the Special Event Missions, where they’ll earn honing materials to quickly level up to 1415. Defeat Guardians, Abyssal Dungeons, and reach Item Level thresholds to earn impactful honing material rewards. The Special Event Missions will stay active until November 23.
We’re excited to see the new alternate characters roaming Arkesia as players experience different playstyles or quickly level up a brand new Mechanist. Both of these events are available for a limited-time— so make sure you take advantage and use them while you can!
      General Updates

The long-awaited Scouter class (renamed Machinist in our version) is coming next week, and Amazon have detailed everything about the new Gunner sub-class, from skills to class identity, the laser/drone theme, and we even get a tease that one or more progression events will be coming with the class patch!
      Machinist (Source)
      Heroes of Arkesia,
On September 28, the Machinist Advanced Class will arrive in Arkesia. The Machinist is armed to the teeth with highest-tech machine guns, laser weapons, and drones found in Arthentine— ready to blast, burn, and neutralize any threat with surgical precision.
The Machinist will join the Deadeye, Gunslinger, Artillerist, and Sharpshooter as the fifth Gunner Advanced Class. In this Lost Ark Academy, you’ll find information to see if the Machinist is the class for you— and if so, help you start planning the skills and engravings you’re interested in using to enhance your impact on the battlefield.
      Key Mechanics & Class Identity
The Machinist comes armed with an arsenal of high-tech weapons and a Drone capable of remote, precise strikes and unique attacks.
The Machinist’s skills are split into four categories; Normal, Drone, Combo, and Sync. Normal skills are centered around the high-tech arsenal of guns, grenades, packed by the Machinist, which all charge the Hypersync Battery. Drone skills are focused on utilizing the Drone in unique ways— firing missiles, lasers, and even baby Drones out in precise, remote strikes. Joint skills are focused on the Machinist and Drone working together in harmony to unleash powerful joint attacks. Lastly, Sync skills are the uniquely powerful attacks unleashed by the high-tech suit that can only be accessed while Hypersync is active.
      Class Engravings & Skills
Like other Advanced Classes, the Machinist has two unique Class Engravings that enhance different aspects of the class. The Evolutionary Legacy Class Engraving is focused on the Hypersync Mode, adding damage, reducing cooldowns, and granting Core Energy back to maximize time spent in the high-tech suit. Enhancing another key aspect of the class, the Arthentinean Skill Class Engraving is centered around the Machinist’s teamwork with the Drone, by increasing Drone and Joint skills and movement speed while the Drone is attached to the Machinist.
      Class Engravings
      Evolutionary Legacy
Level 1 - During Hypersync Mode, on hit, Sync skills inflict Damage +2% (Max 3 stacks) and Cooldown -0.5s. Also, Hypersync Mode returns 40% of its Core Energy cost when canceled.
Level 2 - During Hypersync Mode, on hit, Sync skills inflict Damage +4% (Max 3 stacks) and Cooldown -0.5s. Also, Hypersync Mode returns 40% of its Core Energy cost when canceled.
Level 3 - During Hypersync Mode, on hit, Sync skills inflict Damage +6% (Max 3 stacks) and Cooldown -0.5s. Also, Hypersync Mode returns 40% of its Core Energy cost when canceled.
      Arthetinean Skill
Level 1 - Increases damage of Drone and Joint skills by 15%, and increases Battery Max by 10%. Increase Move Speed by 10% when a Drone is attached to the Machinist.
Level 2 - Increases damage of Drone and Joint skills by 20%, and increases Battery Max by 15%. Increase Move Speed by 10% when a Drone is attached to the Machinist.

The patch that has been causing a lot of trouble today as servers are down and maintenance keeps getting extended was actually a very significant one, as it set up key changes that will allow for server merges, something the community has been asking for for a while. The first round of these merges is coming on September 28th, with a list of affected servers below, as well as a list of merges that will occur later, and a FAQ section.
      Server Merges (Source)
      Heroes of Arkesia,
Vanquishing the myriad of threats invading Arkesia often requires a group to team-up, and some servers have fewer heroes than others. This week’s September 7 update includes key back-end tech changes that will allow us to implement server merges. To ensure players in every server are able to reliably participate in world-specific content (Field Bosses, Co-op Sailing Missions, Guild content, etc.) we plan to kick-off the first round of server merges immediately following the September 28 update.
Server merges will be straightforward for players who have a roster of characters on one of the servers (they’ll just need to log-in to the new server), but players who have a roster on both servers will have their rosters combined. If you’re one of these players, find our plan for combining your rosters below list of planned merges.
      Planned September 28 Merges
      Western Europe
      Shadespire will merge into Rethramis
      Petrania will merge into Tortoyk
      Tragon will merge into Moonkeep
      Stonehearth will merge into Punika
      South America
      Kurzan will merge into Agaton
      Prideholme will merge into Vern
      Yorn will merge into Gienah
      Feiton will merge into Arcturus
      Central Europe
Sirius will merge with Sceptrum and become Starlight
Thaemine will merge with Procyon and become Lazenith
Nineveh will merge with Beatrice and become Twilightmist
Brelshaza will merge with Inanna and become Balthorr

      Planned Round 2 Merges
We will monitor how the initial round of merges progresses, but plan to implement the following merges several weeks after the initial September 28 merges.
      Western Europe
Rethramis and Tortoyk will merge and become Rudric
Moonkeep and Punika will merge and become Sylvain
      South America
Agaton and Vern will merge and become Arthentine
Gienah and Arcturus will merge and become Blackfang

      Roster Merge FAQ
For players who have rosters on more than one server merging into each other, here’s how we plan on handling items, progression, and rosters together. With some exceptions, the majority of items and systems can be categorized by the following policies:
Max - The items/system are set to the highest value found on either roster.
Min - The items/system are set to the lowest value found on either roster.
Sum - Both roster’s values are added together.
Union - The items/system are added together, with duplicates being removed.
Reset - The system is reconfigured to the default value.
With that key for reference, let’s dive into how each system will function.
      Character Level Systems
      Characters and Character Slots
All characters will be sent to Universal Character Storage. Upon entering the character selection screen, a pop-up guide to the Universal Character Storage will be displayed. Universal Character Storage can permanently store characters, and you will be able to move your characters in and out of this storage space freely.
Character slots will reset to the default 6. Additional character slots that have been purchased will be returned to the player as Character Slot Extension Tickets.
      Main Character
Content displaying main characters (Stronghold, Proving Grounds, etc.) will be adjusted to show the character with the highest Item Level across both merged servers. Once a player manually selects a main character, the screen will be adjusted to follow this designation.
Character Designation from Universal Character Storage for Gold Acquisition
When a character from Universal Character Storage is moved to the Roster and designated for an activity that includes Gold acquisition, this character will become “bound” for use once this activity is complete and the Gold has been acquired.
After the weekly reset, this character will become unbound and can be moved back to Universal Character Storage
Before the weekly reset, the character remains bound and cannot be moved back to Universal Character Storage
If the character was designated for Gold acquisition but didn't complete any gold acquiring activities, it will be unbound from the roster and can be moved back to Universal Character Storage prior to the weekly reset.
Existing Name Change Tickets, Reskin Tickets, and Character Slot Extension Tickets will not be changed, as they already function across a player’s entire account.
      Unused Powerpasses will be summed.
Please remember to use your Event Punika Powerpass prior to the beginning of the server merges on September 28, as it will expire after this update is complete.
      Currency
Crystal, Gold, Silver, Pheons, Phoenix Plumes, Pirate Coins, Coin of Courage, Providence Stones, Gienah's Coin, Septrum's Coin, Arcturus's Coin, Ancient Coin, and Sun Coin will all be combined across servers to grant the player the sum of their values. For example, if you have 1,000 gold on Server A and 500 gold on Server B, following the merge you will have 1,500 gold available.
Excess currency over the max will be sent to Universal Storage, except for Gienah's Coin,
Septrum's Coin, Arcturus's Coin, Ancient Coin, and Sun Coin, which will cap at the max of 9,999,999.
