Mythic+ Tier List in Dragonflight Season 1 (Week 15)

Recommended Posts

0rz8DVB.png

For the first time in Patch 10.0.7, we're looking at the Tier List for Mythic+!

DISCLAIMER

The following post is based on statistics provided by Subcreation, a website that gathers various Mythic+ data from live servers. Please note that the tier list is biased toward the top end because it only looks at the top 100 keys per dungeon per affix and ignores keys below +16 and untimed runs.

For the reasons mentioned above, the data presented here will always differ from the Mythic Tier Lists maintained by Petko.

Data Reliability

The data used in the post comes from Subcreation, a site maintained by Alcaras. Subcreation provides statistical analysis of Mythic+ dungeons, raids, and PvP in Shadowlands, and the data is provided via the Warcraft Logs API and Raider.io. If you'd like to support Subcreation, you can check out their Patreon.

How the Data is Calculated

The site looks at the top 100 keys per dungeon per affix across all regions and examines their raider.io scores. For each dungeon and specialization, the site takes the lower bound of a 95% confidence interval of the top 100 runs for each specialization. The site then averages these lower bounds, one per dungeon, to get an overall average lower bound for each spec, which is finally used to create the tier list.

The site takes the lower bounds of the 95% confidence interval calculated and then clusters them into 6 buckets using the Ckmeans algorithm. You can find more information by reading the site's FAQ.

Tanks, Healers, Melee, and Ranged are all on the same scale. They're just shown separately for easier comparison across roles.

Mythic+ Tier List for Dragonflight Season 1: Week #15

The specs are ranked based on their lb_ci which stands for the lower bound of a 95% confidence interval. If a certain tier is missing, it's not occupied by any specialization.

The following tier list is for this week's affixes: Fortified, Spiteful, Grievous, Thundering.

Players have been gathering in masses to farm out all the (many) drops the Diablo crossover event goblins are dropping, and it seems there's one drop Blizzard didn't specifically mention in their event overview.
As spotted by DesMephisto and many others, it seems the treasure part of their name doesn't only refer to all the items and cosmetics they drop, but also gold! 500-1000 or so, in fact:
Not exactly astronomical numbers, but considering how quickly they die, it might be worth the hassle. Players have been gathering in large numbers, trying to get everything from the mount, pet, bag and all the cosmetics (although the charms have lost some of their appeal since Blizzard disabled them in instanced content).
And while the low, low framerates when that many people gather up are problematic, others have found a different sort of fun, as faction warfare sometimes ensues!
Despite some players getting quickly bored with the event, it's still quite a lot of free loot to get, so it's not all bad. What do you think of it all? Too simple and boring or "thanks for the free stuff"?
If you're looking for their spawn times and locations, you can check out a Weakaura for that here.

      Zskarn (Source)
      Greetings raiders.
We will be addressing an emerging tactic that trivializes certain aspects of the Vigilant Steward, Zskarn encounter. We’re planning on implementing these changes live tomorrow, May 26.
We hope that these changes will encourage more interaction with the encounter’s existing mechanics, while maintaining its prior level of difficulty.

Blizzard have given players a preview of the upcoming 10.1.5 PTR build where they are giving Demonology some buffs after the very bad reaction the community had to recent changes.
While Affliction and Destruction are also getting some changes, Demonology is the star of the show, as it will be receiving many changes to compensate for the recent massive nerfs. Let's take a look!
      Warlocks (Source)
      Greetings Warlocks,
We’ve been reading through the feedback provided over the past week and want to provide an update with a look at the changes you’ll see in the next PTR build.
      Affliction
Unstable Affliction damage increased by 10%.
Seed of Corruption’s cast time has been reduced to 2 seconds (was 2.5 seconds).
      Demonology
      Shadowflame Acolyte has been removed.
      Fel Covenant has been removed.
Demonic Knowledge has been re-added and is now located where Shadowflame Acolyte was.
Demonic Knowledge now more reliably procs at a 15% chance.
Shadow's Bite has been re-added and is now located where Fel Covenant was.
Hand of Gul'dan damage increased by 25%.
      Implosion damage increased by 15%.
Call Dreadstalkers damage increased by 15%.
      Demonbolt damage increased by 20%.
Bilescourge Bombers’ Soul Shard cost has been reduced to 0 (was 2).
Umbral Blaze now has a 15/30% chance of occurring (was 8/15%).
Umbral Blaze now retains remaining damage when reapplied.
2-piece tier set bonus adjusted – Demonbolt damage increased 20% (was 15%). Consuming a Demonic Core reduces the cooldown of Grimoire: Felguard by 1 second. This has no effect in PVP combat.
Dirty Hands has been renamed to Malefic Impact.
      Destruction
Crashing Chaos redesigned – Summon Infernal increases the damage of your next 8 casts of Chaos Bolts by 50% (10% in PvP combat) or your next 8 casts of Rain of Fire by 70% (15% in PvP combat).
Dimensional Rift damage increased by 15%.
      Ripped through the Portal
Regarding Demonology, these adjustments are being made to compensate for Ripped through the Portal not returning to the Demonology talent tree. We want talents to be competitive options against one another and, given the synergistic value of Ripped through the Portal, it’s very difficult for us to adjust it in a way that it becomes an option rather than the right choice.
      Demonic Cores
The removal of Demonic Knowledge, Demonic Meteor, and Ripped through the Portal was too much of a push in the direction of reining in Demonology’s mobility. Demonbolt is a cool spell that enables Demonology to be reactive. We don’t want to create a drought of Demonic Cores, but at the same time we don’t want it to be the only generator you cast. By re-adding Demonic Knowledge, the cadence of Demonic Cores should be in a healthier place.
      Conclusion
The feedback provided has been extremely helpful and we appreciate the community’s thoughts on the changes we’re making in Fractures in Time. Thank you for the insights provided and we’ll continue to watch for further discussion.

Blizzard has updated the Character Select Screen in Patch 10.1.5 with a new drag and drop function that lets you easily move your characters around.
If you'd like to change the order of your characters as they appear on the Select Screen in Patch 10.1.5, you can do so easily by drag and dropping them where you'd like.
