The Most Popular Specializations for Mythic+ in Dragonflight Patch 10.1.7 Week 6

Recommended Posts

Here are the most popular specializations for Mythic+ during the sixth week of Patch 10.1.7.

The following post is based on data taken from our sister site u.gg, which has combined thousands of parses from live servers.

The Most Popular Specializations for Mythic+ (Patch 10.1.7 Week 6)

This week's affixes are Tyrannical, IncorporealSpiteful.

Augmentation Evoker stands out as the most popular specialization by a significant margin, with 26.9% of the player base choosing this specialization.

Shadow Priest is the second most popular, but it has just under half the popularity of the Augmentation Evoker. This suggests that while Shadow Priests are favored, there's a clear preference for the Augmentation Evoker in the current meta / player preference.

The remaining three in the top five — Fire Mage, Retribution Paladin, and Beast Mastery Hunter — show more balanced popularity figures. It indicates that players find these specs viable and enjoyable, but none dominate Mythic+ like the Augmentation Evoker specialization.

The Most Popular DPS Specializations

  1. Augmentation Evoker - 26.9%
  2. Shadow Priest - 12.5%
  3. Fire Mage - 7..%
  4. Retribution Paladin - 5.7%
  5. Beast Mastery Hunter - 4.4%
  6. Fury Warrior - 3.8%
  7. Balance Druid - 3.0%
  8. Frost Mage - 2.7%
  9. Subtlety Rogue - 2.6%
  10. Enhancement Shaman - 2.4%
  11. Destruction Warlock - 2.4%
  12. Devastation Evoker - 2.2%

  21. Survival Hunter - 1.7%
  22. Havoc Demon Hunter - 1.6%
  23. Elemental Shaman - 1.5%
  24. Unholy Death Knight - 1.6%
  25. Assassination Rogue - 1.4%
  26. Affliction Warlock - 1.4%

    The Most Popular Tanks

Guardian Druid: Holding the top spot with 31.2%, Guardian Druids are clearly a preferred choice for many players when it comes to tanking.

Protection Paladin: With 23.8% of the player base choosing them, Protection Paladins stand as a solid second choice.

    1. Guardian Druid - 51.2%
    2. Blood Death Knight - 14.0%
    3. Vengeance Demon Hunter - 9.5%
    4. Brewmaster Monk 9.3%
    5. Protection Paladin - 8.3%
    6. Protection Warrior - 7.7%

    The Most Popular Healers

Holy Paladin is overwhelmingly popular, commanding a whopping 43.3% of the healer landscape. This could suggest that Holy Paladins are currently perceived as the most effective or enjoyable healing class, or perhaps they have abilities that mesh well with current content or group compositions.

Discipline Priest, while being the second most popular, trails significantly behind Holy Paladins. However, with 18.6% popularity, they still hold a significant portion of the healer population.

    1. Holy Paladin - 43.3%
    2. Discipline Priest 18.6%
    3. Restoration Druid - 11.2%
    4. Holy Priest - 9.0%
    5. Restoration Shaman - 7.5%
    6. Mistweaver Monk - 6.4%
    7. Preservation Evoker - 4.0%

The fourth week of Dragonflight Season 3 is here and we're looking at the current Mythic+ tier list.
The following post is based on data from U.GG. Therefore, the data presented here may differ from Petko's Mythic Tier Lists maintained on our site.
        How the Data is Calculated
U.gg's tier list is created by evaluating damage and healing scores from the very best players and factoring in the frequency of each spec's appearances in the highest rankings of the current Mythic+ season. The tier list of each spec is determined by its effectiveness and prevalence at the highest levels of Mythic+ play.

As you can see in the below image, we have the characteristic Blood Elf architecture and the Burning Crystal.

We're back in the department of fortunate loot drops, this time, with Tindral Sageswift dropping four copies of the same item.
Tindral blessed a very lucky raid group with 4 pieces of Eternal Kindler's Greatstaff. While this isn't the record-breaking group who looted 5 Smoldering Seedlings from Larodar, it's still nice to see good old Tindral handing so many copies of the same item!
