Dawntrail - Zones and Battle Content
Final Fantasy XIV's next major expansion is set to launch in summer 2024. Dawntrail will add many new features and content to the game, such as new zones, areas, dungeons, raids, and other battle content. Let's have a look at what Tural has to offer, as well as a glimpse at the new combat updates!

New Zones and Areas:

Dawntrail will introduce a brand-new continent: Tural. A visitor from the far west came to seek the Warrior of Light's help in a Rite of Succession that will determine Tural's next ruler. Our heroes are on their way to the grandest summer vacation they have ever had!

Dawntrail Map.jpg

You can see here that Tural will be an extremely vast continent that we will get to explore fully.

As we already know, the brand-new player hub will be Tuliyollal, which will serve as a literal bridge connecting the north and south parts of the continent of Tural.

However, there is one extremely intriguing zone that has been revealed, that has a distinct look compared to the rest of Tural we have seen so far. It is another town that will serve as the second hub for players, and it is called Solution Nine

Solution Nine.jpg

We did not get too much information, as they don't want to spoil us, but we know that it is a city of towering facades constructed by an entirely different civilization than that of Tuliyollal. All the new areas are very intriguing and beautiful, and will be a joy to explore and discover once Dawntrail launches!

New Dungeons and Raids:

Of course, Dawntrail will also add new dungeons and raids, and we got to see a sneak peek of some of them. Yoshida assured us that the progress on the new dungeons is going very well, and that they will be able to show more in the future.

The new alliance raid was also announced. It will be an FFXI collaboration, and it is called Echoes of Vana'Diel. We even got to see the Shadow Lord artwork. More details will be given during future PLLs, but we know that it will be coming for 7.1!

Echoes of Vanadiel.jpg

Of course, after the alliance raid, we also got information on the brand new 8-player raid called The Arcadion. It seems to take place in an extremely futuristic new location. New characters will come with the raid, and the story itself will be a complete FFXIV original. Normal mode and savage mode will be available in sequence about one month after 7.0, so players will not feel rushed.

The Arcadion.jpg

Another good surprise we got during the keynote was the announcement of the new ultimate raid, which will be themed around part of the story of Eden, with Ryne and Gaia from patch 5.4: Futures Rewritten Ultimate. The release is planned for 7.1.

You can take a look at all of the new areas, dungeons and raids through different videos on the official Final Fantasy XIV YouTube channel or by watching the Day 1 + Keynote video.

Other Battle Content:

In addition to the new dungeons and raids, Dawntrail will also offer other types of battle content for players to enjoy. These include:

  • New Allies
  • Level cap increased to 100, Job updates, New abilities and spells for each existing Job
  • Core Battle content for 7.0: New Fates, Hunts, Treasure Hunts, Quest-Synced Sidequests
  • New threats: Bosses and New interesting monsters such as the Barreltender

Dawntrail Bosses.jpg

  • Duty support updates: Krile will make the duty support debut as Pictomancer.
  • Ongoing content updates: Blue Mage update, Inconceivably Further Hilibrand Adventures, new plans for deep Dungeons, Gold Saucer update, PvP update, new variant Dungeons.
  • Field Operations: something similar to Eureka and Bozja will be implemented during 7.x.
  • A new Lifestyle Content called The Cosmic Exploration, which should be leading us into various locations. Moreover: we will be able to explore it in multiplayer!

Cosmic Exploration.jpg

So far, Dawntrail is definitely living up to the hype, and it will bring a lot of new and exciting content to Final Fantasy XIV! Players will get to explore the new continent of Tural and face new challenges, new enemies in new dungeons, raids, and other battle content. The expansion will also introduce new allies, new jobs, new abilities, and new lifestyle content. Summer 2024 can't come quick enough, as we are all eagerly awaiting the start of our next adventure!

This banner is everything - and I can't wait to go to bed tonight and dream about stuffing a hefty butterfinger into jacktuars (jacked cactuar's) mouth, whilst sitting on its spikey uber-muscular body. Ah. The dream.

In all seriousness: so cool that there's a butterfinger collab. They're notoriously known to do things together with Final Fantasy /Square Enix and it's nice to see that this tradition continues. ♥

Find out how to participate in the open beta test of Final Fantasy XIV on Xbox Series X|S, starting on February 21, 2024.
Get ready for the Xbox Series X|S open beta test of Final Fantasy XIV, starting on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at around 8:00 (GMT) or 19:00 (AEDT). If you are an Xbox player who has never tried Final Fantasy XIV before, you can now participate in the open beta test!
This is a special opportunity for new players who have never tried Final Fantasy XIV before.
Important information: DO NOT link your Microsoft account to your Square Enix account if you have previously purchased the free trial or the game on another platform before the official Xbox launch. Those who have already completed the free trial on another platform or who already own an FFXIV license will be unable to participate in the beta.
The Final Fantasy XIV team asks that veteran players be patient, as playing on XBOX requires linking your Square Enix account to your FFXIV account, which cannot be undone. So be very cautious when linking both accounts!

For new players who want to try the game on Xbox Series X/S during the open beta test, here's what you need to do:
First, make sure the following privacy options have been set on your Xbox: Settings > Account > Privacy and online safety > Xbox privacy > view details and customize > communication and multiplayer: Enable the following settings: "You can join multiplayer games," set to Allow. "You can join cross-network play," set to Allow. "Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites," set to Everybody. "You can communicate outside of Xbox with voice & text," set to Everybody. From the previous view details & customize menu, select game content and confirm: "You can see and upload community creations," set to Everybody. From the Microsoft Store, look for Final Fantasy XIV and open the product page. From the “…” option menu, pick and download the Final Fantasy XIV Free Trial to your Xbox Series X|S. Once the installation is done, start the game and follow the on-screen instructions to begin your journey. The open beta test has the same content, features, and restrictions as the free trial version, except for the option to buy items from the online store. You will not require any Xbox Game Pass plan in order to play the open beta or the free trial. However, once the game fully releases on Xbox, if you intend to buy it, you will require the Xbox Game Pass to play it.
The Xbox Series X|S version will be available immediately after the open beta test ends, but the exact date is still being discussed since the FFXIV team may require time to adjust things after the beta. You will be able to keep your Final Fantasy XIV game data and play without having to download the game again at launch.
More details about any transfers and the actual release date will be published later, as well as information on how veteran gamers can continue to play on Xbox after launch. Let's welcome our Xbox friends to the wonderful world of Eorzea and accompany them on their journey with kindness and friendship!

      The Mandervillous Weapons
If you are looking for the best weapons in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, you might want to consider getting the Mandervillous Weapons, the final step of the Manderville Relic Weapon Questline. These weapons are not only the most powerful in terms of stats but also the most flashy in terms of appearance.
In order to have access to the last Manderville weapon, you will first need to complete the Hildibrand questline, as well as the first 3 steps for the Manderville weapons.
Unlike the previous relic weapons that had complex and time-consuming steps, this time it is rather simple: All you need is a total of 6,000 Allagan Tomestones of Causality (1500 per step for one weapon), which can be obtained from various endgame activities, such as dungeons, raids, and trials. You can purchase the upgrade items from Jubrunnah in Radz-at-Han with the Tomestones.
For step 4, you will need to purchase 3 Cosmic Crystallines after completing the Manderville story quests “Of Duplicity and Duplication” and “Gentlemen at Heart”.

Once you have obtained Mandervillous weapons, you can further enhance them by customizing the stats. You will be able to choose three attributes for your weapon, with a maximum number of stats that you will be able to allocate to each. However, compared to the Shadowbringers Relics, you will not be able to fully customize any stats. You can only put 2 substats at maximum, and one extra substat at 72. Keep in mind, though, that you can always come back to change those stats if you made a mistake; you will simply have to pay one Cosmic Crystallite.
The Mandervillous weapons are not only powerful but also beautiful. Each weapon has a unique name and a unique appearance, with intricate details and glowing effects.
For more information about how to unlock these weapons and what they all look like, you can head to our Manderville Weapons guide here: Manderville Relic Weapons
Additionally, it is good to know that completing the Hildebrand questline will also reward you with this awesome mount:

The Mandervillous Weapons are your best in slot weapon for Endwalker, offering both high performance and high style. They are easy to obtain and upgrade, and if you are a fan of the Hildibrand quests and the Manderville family, you will definitely enjoy these weapons and their stories. So go and get your Mandervillous Weapon and become the most Manderville adventurer in Eorzea!
